When you already have enough offensive firepower in the starting lineup with curry and durant, why wouldn't you opt for a defensive guy who can play the stretch 4 as well (Green) instead of an extra offensive guy who needs the ball all the time (Speights). We'd allow fewer points with green starting than speights starting. Also the trade would probably not happen.
