The Kings would have too many players and the Heat would have too few

This is a TERRIBLE trade for the kings. So they get an over-priced, declining deng on his last year of his contract then he'll leave. The expriing andersen. Chalmers who the heat are shopping for basically anything. Whiteside who is in his final year and most likely will leave. And the 10th pick in the draft? Basically, collison and chalmers are a wash. So what you are in fact doing is giving Cousins, for 3 expiring contracts and the 10th pick in the draft? Even though they rejected the #2 and a much more desirable package. Well played.

Awful all around. (No offense). As a heat fan, I don't want to trade 30% of my team(!) and I don't think either team would be better off afterwards than before.

Deng is a better fit with the heat, and if we don't somehow get durrant, Deng might stay. Whiteside is also likely to stay in Miami but may not stay with kings.
