Heard that Nets and Sixers are pursuing JR Smith. Supposedly he wants 15 million per, and Cavs may not want to go that high. He got his ring, I think he would follow the $$, even if it takes him to a rebuilding team. He's from NJ, so Nets or sixers is a trip home. Would fit nicely as a 2 year starter for the sixers until a stud wing is found in the draft (Josh Jackson) or traded for. Is he that much of a head case? I don't think he's ty Lawson level problematic. Any thoughts?

If nets wants him, cavs sign and trade Jr smith to nets.

Why would they do a sign and trade? they're not giving a max contract :-)

I'd take him as the Sixers 2 for a few years.

simmonsorbust: I agree. I think he a very good, but very streaky, 3 point shooter.

Sixers and Nets have to spend the money anyways, Smith would be a nice fit for both. The only concern is his track record on bad teams vs. good.

jvoug. jr smith is a TERRIBLE person in the locker room. JR is notorious for being immature and selfish. He was less so the past year because he has lebron to keep him in line and win for him. But I can guarentee you, if he is in a rebuild, itll take about 2 months before he starts demanding the ball more or getting shipped out.

Sixers are in a great position with their youth. He is NOT a player that should be anywhere near them.

yeah. Immature and selfish is definitely not what philly needs out of a 12 year veteran. Maybe let the Nets have him if that's the case. I just don't want Waiters on this team, and with Okc signing Abrames, Waiters looks like the odd guy out. Please stay away "Junior" Colonjello. Such a mature post. lol. Seriously though, the sixers desperately need a shooter, again .
