I don't think Lakers would do this trade. Although position wise it gives them a more balanced lineup I don't believe the fit or value is that great. I think they would just trade directly for okafor before doing this but in general I don't think okafor is the type of center they need and would be a poor fit with their pfs.

Simmons may be slightly more valuable than Ingram but Lakers already have playmakers so Ingrams scoring potential is a better fit for Lakers lineup. The gap between value in Fultz and Okafor however is enormous.

Sixers pass. Ingram has barely impressed me. Most days he's unimpressive. I'd take the injured Simmons every time.

Besides Simmons and Embid make a great duo sitting in street clothes.

I'd take the #1 pick this year over Simmons. Simmons might be great, or he might never play.

And there's no question I'd take Ingram over Okafor.

So the lakers seem to lose this badly.

HAHA of course he is unimpressive tre. Because you watch nothing outside of the sixers.

He has gotten better and better and has shown flashes of real potential. The big kicker is you get Ingram and the number 1 overall, for simmons, and a deep bench center.

But yeah, unimpressive. Rather just trust the process of injuries. go on.

Not ready to give up on Simmons. He is a generational talent. He is someone you build around. Ingram has improved but I still don't see him as a generational talent, and Fultz is a very intriguing scoring guard, but I'm still sticking with the idea of a healthy Simmons.

Lakers don't even consider this. Okafor has zero value and Simmons already has plenty of concerns. Injury, can't shoot in a league where that's the most important thing, showed no want to win in college. Lakers love Ingram, they would've landed Cousins if they were willing to part with him but they weren't.

Btw. I don't see fultz as a generational talent. Sorry. I do see Simmons as having that potential. Ingram I don't either. Oakfor I don't see it.

So I give up a generational talent for two none generational talent. I'll pass.

The idea of a healthy Simmons might be all you ever get. That's why you move one player with a heigh ceiling for two.

Yea they didn't want to let go of ingram for cousins. and then 2 days later, the people who made that decision got fired. People get hurt in sports all the time, and it can happen at any time. i'm tired of hearing it about simmons, he has no history of injuries and he's a 19, 20 year old kid whos growing into his body still. Its smart to give those players a long time to heal since their body is changing during the entire healing process. Same thing probably happened to embiid. He sat out that second year because while his foot was trying to heal, the rest of his body gained 2 inches and 20 pounds. Of course its going to need extra time. and now he's trying to learn the game of basketball against grown men, when he's never had more than 30 games in a season to train his body for what was coming in the nba. If you didn't see a minor i jury coming then your not using common sense. Hell be back, hell learn his mistakes and hell continue to improve. Everyone needs to calm down.

Simmons has the most potential of anyone involved in the trade senario. I don't really think that's debatable. None of these guys are sure things currently.

That being said okafor currently has very little value. Not enough at least to even the value gap. The sixers would need to add something.

, and both okafor and Ingram have thier deficiencies and both simmons and fultz haven't played a game at the nba level yet. Potential seems to be all we'really going off here.

Simmon's injury isn't career threatening, so to try to devalue him because of the injury isn't valid

Lastly, if he came out this year. He'd be the number 1 pick. I also think that isn't debatable.

Id still take Fultz or Ball over Simmons. And I love Ingram, he's not getting traded.

FYI. Tre has literally never watched fultz play a minute. And likely has seen Ingram play less than a full quarter. He claims they aren't generational talents. Yet Simmons is. After not playing a second his rookie year. And in the one year in colleg he half assed it and showed he had a very poor shot.

Go on tre. Tell us more about your amazingly in depth evaluations of generational talent based off essentially never seeing any of them play.

Homer.
