To NYK - Pick #1, Jae Crowder

To BOS - Pick #8, Kristaps Porzingis

I know that fellow Knick fans are not going to like the trading of Zinger, but I have my concerns about his long term interest in being with the dysfunctional Knicks. He's already been outspoken about the team's treating of Melo, and when the Knicks move him, Zinger won't be happy. Getting the 1st pick in the draft and Melo's replacement is a good haul.

From the C's end, they get a young star at a position of greater need than Fultz would supply. By grabbing the 8th pick, they can still pick up a quality player, or use it as trade bait.

Crowder and the first pick wouldn't be enough. So, why would Knicks give up a pick along with that.

KP is probably worth more than #1 and Crowder on his own, nobody else in the league has his size and shooting ability which isn't to mention his defensive ability and that he is only 21 and making under 6 mill for the next two years. Knicks would be foolish to deal Porzingis and even dumber to include #8 pick. What is the point of dealing him for a draft pick? He is the type of guy already teams wish to get with a top pick to rebuild around.

Things can only get better in NY and no player would be happy in how Melo was treated. No matter how unhappy Porzingis is he can only leave 3 more years (2 years then take qualifying offer after rookie contract expires to avoid RFA) . Knicks should be focused on keeping #8 pick and building around Porzingis rather than dealing him and hoping they get someone as good which chances are they won't be able to since Porzingis is such a unique talent.

Knicks are NOT trading Porzingis in the division to hated enemy Celts. Why waste your time. Even if they were crazy enough to do it- no way they include #8 with it. Listen carefully- pick up the crack pipe, open the window and throw it as far as you can.
