Hawks get Okafor

Celtics get something in return (Probably Top 40 pick since Hawks are tanking) for Crowder to make room for Hayward instead of doing a sign and trade with Utah and getting nothing. Sixers get a starting SF, while only giving up a backup center. Hawks take a chance on Okafor while only giving up a 2nd.

Celtics should minimally be able to get a late 1st for Crowder. He is a starting caliber player at 2 maybe 3 positions on the right team that is on one of the best contracts in the league and just entering his prime at 27. He is the perfect complimentary player who can play defense on guys 1-4 and shot close to 40% on 3s while also being a good rebounder for a guy his size.

Even Okafor I think 76ers should be able to get a future 1st for, maybe not next years but I think he is worth more than a 2nd rounder.

I agree that Crowder is worth more, but the Celtics have no leverage because they have to get rid of a player to sign Hayward. They are already talking about a sign and trade of Hayward for Crowder, so the Celtics would be getting nothing for him in that scenario.

The Celtics have plenty of leverage. They are not way over the cap. Crowder is not going to Utah, Jazz are putting the trade out there. Ideally they would trade Smart to the Knicks for Willy and that will cover the Hayward signing. I think keeping AB and Crowder are key to competing this year. Look for IT to be dealt at the deadline and Rozier being the PG.

IT4 is talking his way out of town with this back the Brinks truck up and if I were 6'5" I'd be the best player in the NBA. FYI, no you wouldn't, you can't play D and you don't have enough dimes.

Ainge is thinking this out carefully because he wants to be in the finals this year. Gasol can clog up the paint but at a price. I think Vucivic can do the same at half the price so if Crowder is moved Orlando could be that team. Maybe they can do it with a late 1st and some young player they just drafted not named Tatum. He looks and plays like a stud. Drummond is still a viable option with 3 years of control and he'd be the guy I'd want if you have to spend 25 million. He's missed 2 games out of the last 3 years. And 9 years younger than Gasol.

If it was just a straight sign and trade for Crowder it would be done already. DA is trying to figure out if he can get something else out of Utah. My guess is Hood right now with Utah balking at the prospect.

The celtics need to find a way to move horford if they are going to move him or thomas. I feel like no one talks about that bad signing. he shouldn't be a max guy.

Horford was taken out of his environment of playing the PF, his #'s reflect that. Get a real center and he'll be better. He's a good presence for the players and he is a good player.

Buttt. I think if the right situation came around for the right player Trader Danny wouldn't think twice.
