Spurs/ Grizz

To SAS - Green (S&T 4yr/ $56M), Wright

To MEM - Aldridge

Marc Gasol wants change from the Grizz, and adding a borderline all-star in LMA represents that. With Marc's improved outside game, him and Aldridge could make a really nice high/ low pair of bigs.

I like Green's fit with the Spurs more than Aldridge. His outside game is improving, and he does not need to be a focal point of the offense. Wright is an expiring deal that helps balance salaries.

Spurs might want a little more, but I like it.

Did you really just call Aldridge a border line all star? Maybe 3 years ago but he has no value now. Maybe in another system he could thrive, but the fact is he's in the spurs system and that's diminished any value that his contract hasn't already taken away.

Aldridge was #4 last year among PFs for value added (behind AD, Blake griffin, and Love) . He's a top 5 player at his position. The idea that he has no value is insane.

Skills, keep in mind that if you understand that the Spurs system "diminishes value", thenevery GM in the league understands that the Spurs system "diminishes value" and will see LMA for what he is in another system, a borderline All-Star.

Did Kevin Love, in his prime, become a worse player, or did he move to a system that doesn't call for him to put up 26 and 12. If he left the Cavs and went to a system that called for him to be a more focal part of the offense, he would be back to putting up 25+ a night and making All-Star teams.

Skills, before this year Aldridge has been to 5 straight allstar games. I'm not sure how calling him a borderline (you could probably drop the borderline) allstar is ridiculous.
