So basically Cleveland gets 3 starters for an expiring contract in Thomas. Everything has no-negative value.

Once again skills complains about everyone else's trades and adds nothing to the conversation. The switch would save the Kings money and give them a decent prospect in Osman and another young guy in Zizic. The Cavs would probably be looking to flip Crowder after the trade any way and that's the kind of return they'd probably want.
