Why would the knicks do this? Powell is guaranteed @42 million over the next four years. And he's just an average rotation guy. I don't think knicks would want to lock that cap flexibility up on Powell with so much already owed to Noah. Knicks pass.

I like Powell
The knicks can't attract a big free agent.

Powell can score threes and is a good defender.

And the knicks have to many biggs

Knicks will be able to attract FA's that are better than Powell, and likely pay no more for those players than what Norman makes.

As for shooting the 3, he's at 28% this year and 32% for his career. Don't think that qualifies him as a "3 and D" guy.

raptors have enough bigs and Powell has way more potential then people think he need a team to aloud him to play through mistakes raptors need a consistent player off the bench.
so a trade for Lee would make more sense
