If Pelicans decide to rebuild:

76ers get: A. Davis, Noah, Lance Thomas
Send: TLC, McConnell, Saric, Korkmaz, Redick, Johnson, Booker, 2018 1st rounder, Lakers/Kings pick, 2020 1st rounder, 3 second rounders 2018 and 2019, 2019 swap rights

Knicks get: Cousins, Redick, McConnell, 1 second rounder in 2018 and 2019
Send: Noah, Thomas, Hernangomez, Ntilikina, Lee, 2018 1st rounder

Pelicans get: Booker, Johnson, Lee, Ntilikina, Saric, Korkmaz, Hernangomez, TLC, Knicks and 76ers 2018 1st rounder, Lakers/Kings pick, 2019 swap rights with 76ers, 76ers 2020 1st rounder, 2 2nd rounders in 2018 and 2019 from 76ers
Send: Davis and Cousins

Knicks do it because they unload Noah. Redick comes from the area and would likely resign. Pairing Cousins with Porzingis would be awesome and McConnell is a great back-up and extremely cheap

Pelicans just do it if they think they can't compete for a championship soon. With this offer they get their future pg and some really good and young role players in TLC, Hernangomez and Saric. They also have 4 1st rounders this year in the range 10-20 (don't think Lakers end up in the top 5). They can use Lee, Johnson and Booker to get more picks

The Sixes don't own the the 2018 Lakers pick. The Celtics do. The Sixer's only get it back if it's not 2 thru 5. If they do get it back, the Celtics get the 2019 Kings pick.

@Yumbo: I took that into account. I wrote Lakers/ Kings pick and "They also have 4 1st rounders this year in the range 10-20 (don't think Lakers end up in the top 5)" --> meant with that, that the Pelicans most likely have 4 first rounders this year because the Lakers pick doesn't seem to fall in the range 2-5. But you're right if it does they just have 3 this year but also 2 next year.

knicks would obviously say no. its essentially an expiring for an injured center. They give up solid pieces and this years first and next years first. makes no sense.

reddick is not someone they want, he doesn't not coincide with their timeline. They basically do this to get noah off the books, why not just trade noah with a 1st and sign cousins outright? or noah with nikitilina, and still hold on to the bevy of assets they would be giving out?

Plus, why would NY want Coudins? He's out for the year and a FA after the season.

@Hamburger: you say trade noah with Ntilikina to get him of the books. For me that's exactly the value they have to give up. If not even more. The other things the knicks give, are Hernangomez who didn't play much. So you might get a 2nd rounder. Then you also give your 1st rounder and lee. Therefore you get McConnell who has some value (late first rounder) and Redick + 2nd rounders and Cousins. I think pairing Porzingis with Cousins would be great. And if you have him around you can easier convince him to sign a longterm deal. Also Porzingis wants to win now. With cousins, THJ, Redick you would be way better than now. If nobody signs you are one of only a few teams with cap space. I would do it.

Man just stop. The only thing worse than an AD trade is a lengthy one with all these excuses to justify NOLA trading AD. Lame.
