Of course great for Lakers, reasonable for Spurs, and a train wreck for Washington. They never go for this.

Wall is out the 2nd time for the season, and both times so far the Wizards play better team ball. This isn't enough for Wall. A change of scenery could be good for him though. Somewhere there are good players already, and his role is defined coming in as the no.2. Beal is the Gem you can see the Star power in him. Wall appears to resent it.

I think people are undervaluing Ball, his statistics aren't great and his shot isn't looking good.
But he's still a 19y old Kid (d) . And he has potential to become an all star. He would be a great passer in a Washington team with Porter, Beal and Morris.

The guy is averaging 10-7-7 and is a 19yr old rookie. Shooting might be bad but it can be improved. I think he is being underrated because of too much expectation and his father. But i think Washington can do better if they are trading Wall.

Ball has been solid this year, but his lack of a shot and his dad's antics are both pretty big concerns.

This is pretty bad for the Wizards. They give up Oubre, who is young and probably better than anything that will come out of those picks. They have to take on Deng. Those are future picks that will be fairly late given the players that the Lakers get and Ball could end up being a huge distraction to the team. Oubre probably costs more than a late first for Washington to part with and even next year it probably costs more than late 1st to get rid of Deng given the lack of capspace around the league. So it comes down to the Wizards needing to be in love with Ball and I just don't see him being worth it.

Yes, Ball has the potential to be an All-Star, but Wall already is. Separate of that, while Ball has potential, at best he's the 4 best rookie from his class (Tatum, Mitchell, Simmons), and multiple other rookies, including possibly Kuzma have arguably had better years.

I do believe he'll be a good player, and likely an All-Star, but he's not Wall, nor has he proven enough yet for Washington to make him a centrepiece of a Wall deal.

The ONLY thing attractive about Ball is his contract. He is not even through a season and is overhyped and the baggage is piling up from his Dad. This trade is horrible for Wizards. Period.
