Thunder and Blazers Trade

Westbrook and Roberson for Lillard and Turner

Straight Up. Roberson and Turner has equal years in terms of Contract and you can extend Lillard to Paul George Level for another 2-3 years and Lillard is a year younger than Russell - I would throw in a pair of 2nd Round Picks to sweeten the deal if Blazers wants to depart Lillard. Lillard and George would be a better and more cohesive duo.

Most of you would not do this trade; and I understand that.

Rather keep Roberson and Westbrook.

Triangle why?

I think both teams would rather keep their current star PG over swapping.

Westbrick for lillard is fair in terms of championships and likely future championships without major 1st tier talent surrounding them. Who puts more person-like clueless fans in seats? Westbrick by far. His worth to a franchise is unique in that respect.

I’d counter with this Btec: Westbrook is hated in Portland. Hated. Lillard would be a much better fan draw for the Blazers than Westbrook.

Shiller, it’s more about Roberson vs. Turner than Westbrook vs. Lillard.

I still like Turner. is he overpaid? Absolutely. But if you use him correctly, he's a solid asset. The problem is, he's not a good fit for either team. He should essentially be the backup point guard, facilitating for the rest of the squad. The Thunder already have Schroder in that role.

Well, that's not a very high moral code for the formerly known as trailblazers fan base. I thought it was about team and not 1 individual?

It certainly is more than one individual, but at the same time, you can't ignore your fans and go against everything they would want. You can't dump a hero around the city for a bitter rival.

Also, the Jailblazer era really hurt the team in the eyes of the fans. Among all of the teams in the NBA, Portland has to be among the most cautious of losing their fan base again.

There is not one good reason to blackball westbrick from Portland. He has no criminal charges, and he gets triple doubles. Would satisfy most blazer fans I know. I can't ever see westbrick for lillard but I think the fans would welcome westbrick if he was around for a while. Portland businesses feed the homeless at a ridiculous rate, I'd imagine they'd embrace westbrick after a season or 2.
