A package centered around Lonzo ball for Lillard is absurd. (Zach Lowe reported this) The blazers are smarter than that. Lakers want Lillard? Hart, Ingram, Kuzma would be in the deal. If compared to wolves/bulls deal for butler, this is pretty comparable.

Agreed. Bill Simmons suggested Ball and KCP for Lillard. That makes Portland a bottom 5 team with a moderate prospect.

Not sure why people think Lillard has that much less value than AD. They’re have similar contracts and they’re both top 10 players. Portland would be stupid to take anything less than a massive haul until he’s eligible for and declines a supermax deal.

Portland needs future assets and decent talent. Lakers picks look pretty late in the near future. Ball, KCP, Rondo and '19, '21, '23 future 1sts? I'd still want Kuzma or Ingram at least.

Yeah, no way I’d take Ball, vets, and picks alone. Heck, I wouldn’t want Ball. Send me Ingram, Kuzma, and two firsts, that’s maybe the best package they can offer.

I also agree. There is no way a package from LA without Ingram or Kuzma would get you Lillard. Portland would get much better offers elsewhere too. The media wants an L. A. team to be stacked enough to run at GSW so badly i think they actually believe the crap they report on.

While I think Ball and KCP is extremely light for Lilliard, he doesn’t have anywhere near the value AD does. He’s 3 years older, AD is a top 3 to 5 player compared to Lilliard being in the top 15 or 20 range, and he isn’t a good defender. I think best case scenario you get a deal similar to the Jimmy Butler one last year.

Bmiller- pillard isn't top 3 at his position in conference. He isn't top 10.

Value to a team, AD is much higher than Lillard. Trade return, there’s only so high value can go. And I think a top 10 player under 30 with 3 years left on his deal is probably the peak value.

Shiller: to me, there’s one PG in the NBA that’s better than Lillard (not counting harden as a point) . That’s Curry. Everyone else is even or under him.

It sounds crazy but I'd tank for a lottery pick and buy-out turner and Leonard and come prepared for 19-20 because this season is going to be rough for Portland I think. That's when guys like Lillard get traded when expectations are high and results are low. The Ed Davis loss is affecting the blazers. Stauskas is great but Nurkic didn't look improved from last season. Davis helped with keeping that to a minimum. 1st game of the season more to come.
