Pelicans get Enes Kanter, Jaylen Brown, Kevin Knox, Knicks first rounder, and 4 first rounders from Boston
The Celtics can only acquire AD this season by moving Kyrie. This would be a big gamble for Boston, but the Celtics would be guaranteed at least one postseason run with AD. If a potential finals appearance and a bright future isn't enough to get AD to commit, they can trade him for a king's ransom this summer and replenish their assets.
The Knicks traded KP for hope, but now they have something to sell KD on other than just hope. With Kyrie on board the Knicks still would have a max contract slot and would become much more attractive to suitors. The Knicks can also go over the salary cap to re-sign Irving, something they wouldn't be able to do without trading for him.
The Pelicans get a big expiring contract, two promising young talents, and a whopping five first round picks for their superstar. The Pelicans would likely move some of those picks for future firsts, thus making the long term benefits of this deal even greater. I don't see a better offer out there for the Pellies.

Davis is better than Kyrie, but he is not 4 first rounders and a young talent better than Kyrie. Less picks frim Boston, more picks from NY (AKA add those Dallas picks) .
