I believe the sixers and Knicks will make some sort of trade on draft night

Sixers trade Lakers, Heat, Thunder picks next year
Knicks trade #4 Hardaway and Calderon

Sixers Draft
Russel 3
Winslow 4

Good idea. But I think they use less assets and target Denver. WCS will be picked in that range so that leaves Hezonja or Winslow at the 7 spot.

2.) 21 May 2015 05:15:55
Take the heat pick out and instead throw a 2nd round pick or two in

3.) 21 May 2015 16:36:53
Knicks are getting screwed in that deal. It doesn't accomplish anything they want to do

They're not getting a great player back. They are getting picks in the future but give up a high pick this year and thj who was a higher pick before. Just doesn't make sense for either direction. That being said. Sixers would probably do it in a second.

Sixers
Will most likely be very active this offseason they need to aquire a PG SG AND SF I can see them doing this by trade

Sixers-Utah
Miami and OKC first round picks for Exum

Idk who they try for at SF
I can see them offering contracts to Leonard and Butler and maybe Middletown

Middleton autocorrected

I don't think the Sixers are signing a big time free agent this summer. My guess is they'll still sell cap space for picks or young players and keep tanking one more year, anyway.

3.) 12 May 2015 15:21:16
The idea of Exum has floated around for a couple of days. To me, he hasn't shown anything. But if you look at articles from Utah, they still seem excited about him. He's very young so it could take time to develop. If the Sixers can get him without moving their own picks or the Lakers pick, I guess I'd have to trust Hinkie.

4.) 12 May 2015 15:45:43
Sixers should definately attempt to steal these young big names out there. They have the cap space this year as oppose to a lot of teams who have the cap space next season when it rises to 100 mil. If the Sixers can add to there core this year then why not at least try. I would go after a second tire free agent though. Only guys who I think can be superstars. Other then that there's really no point in signing a older vet to take minutes from our younger guys. Leonard butler and possibly Middleton all work for me.

5.) 12 May 2015 16:51:29
Middleton is going to get $15 million. Plus he and the other two have expressed their desire to stay where they are.

Might have to build the Sixers the old fashioned way- draft and trades. At least they have assets to make trades. But I"m not sure who will move out of this draft to move into next year's draft.

Sixers Offseason
I think they offer Leonard and Butler max deals but both get matched.
Maybe they make a run at Middleton

Sixers-Orlando
Wrotten and Lakers First for Olidipo

Sixers-Thunder
Pj3 Novak Lamb and #14 for a second round pick

1. You're probably right about not being able to get Leonard and Butler. Would be interesting to have them at 2/3 and draft Russell.

2. Lots or Orlando lovers on this board. I think Orlando should consider that since the LA pick could lead to a big for them. If I get the free agents above, that offer comes off the table for the Sixers.

3. That's too much to give the Sixers. They'll have to give back their option on next years OKC pick. But OKC is in a terrible Luxury Tax bind so something has to happen for them. And if I"m the Sixers, I try to get the option to swap 2020 picks. OIC doesn't have a 2018 pick, I think.

2.) 06 May 2015 14:46:21
1) correct
2) Orlando would absolutely not make that move. Again, the LA Pick should be no where close to where it is this year. With all their players coming back, and a large amount to spend in free agency, to believe the lakers won't be contending for a playoff spot is ridiculous. Olidapo is worth more than wroten and a possible late teens/early 20s pick.
3)Thunder would rather just pay the extra money for the tax. Giving off all that would be terrible for the franchise now and in the future. Especially adding the 1st round swap as well. The Thunder are looking to keep durant, not give him reasons to run. This trade makes no sense.

3.) 06 May 2015 16:01:31
I agree with you in a lot of spots here. I doubt Magic want to move olidipo but would love to have him.

Jimmy butler and Leonard probably will get matched but I'm still going to make the Spurs and bulls pay a ton to keep them.

The thunder haven't liked going over the cap. So that deal has potential as well. Especially if they want to keep ibaka.

The truth is I would love to start competing next year but it will be tough. Most likely will see what we have next year in Embiid and Noel and our draft pick. Then after next season well start going after bigger names and having a actually chance at getting them.

Regarding OKC and the Luxury Tax:
Other than financial penalties, are there restrictions on taxpaying teams?
In addition to the tax payments, taxpaying teams have the following restrictions. Note that most of these restrictions aren't triggered unless the team would be over the "apron" -- the point $4 million above the tax level -- following a signing or trade.
• Teams above the apron cannot use the Bi-Annual exception
• Teams above the apron have a smaller Mid-Level exception. Teams above the apron can offer contracts no longer than three years, while other teams can offer four. The starting salary is also lower (for example, in 2011-12 it is $3 million for teams above the apron, versus $5 million for other teams).
• Taxpaying teams can acquire less salary in a simultaneous trade.
• Starting in 2013-14, teams cannot receive a player in a sign-and-trade transaction if their team salary is above the apron at the conclusion of the trade.
• Teams above the apron do not have the same protections under the Gilbert Arenas provision. Under the Arenas provision other teams can offer restricted free agents salaries starting at the Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level exception. If a team with the right of first refusal does not have Early Bird rights to the player and is over the apron, it will have only the smaller Taxpayer Mid-Level exception at its disposal, and cannot match an offer for the full Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level exception.
In addition, taxpaying teams do not receive a distribution from the league wide tax fund. However, they do receive a distribution from the escrow fund.

Philly rich.

Nice info there. The big thing that would effect the thunder is inability to resign durant next season. Yes the are able to sign him to a max deal and go way over the cap due to ability of teams to resign their own players regardless of cap. However, the thunder have shown with the James harden deal that they will not go over the cap too far. Not even to resign their own talent. That's what makes this trade possible. If money wasn't an object her the thunder would never do this.

Why does everyone think the lakers can buy a team in one offseason the last time they tried that they didn't even make the playoffs I see that happening again so to everyone saying the pick the sixers Own of the Lakers is worth something they suck

Obviously a lakers fan since there the only team that wins in this deal no way you give up the #4 and #27 for #7 and a top five center in the nba
