I don't know that Cleveland does this, unless LBJ is adamant that they do so. Irving has shown much more in the playoffs than Paul has, and at his age, can be the face of the Cavs once James is gone.
That said, I could see a scenario where LeBron does go to the front office and request this deal, and management gives him what he wants.
