Magic - Nuggets - Knicks

Magic: Gary Harris, Vanderbilt, Ntilikina

Nuggets: Gordon

Knicks: Beasley

Magic - Get two intriguing prospects in Ntilikina and Vanderbilt, plus add a solid 3-and-D SG in Harris. Can afford to move on from Gordon with so many other good bigs to feed...Isaac, Bamba, Vucevic, Birch, Aminu.

Nuggets - Should be aiming for a consolidation trade. I would love to fast forward to next year and see what Gordon+Porter jr.+Jokic looks like...2 uber-atheletes and a doughboy. Gordon fills the void if Millsap leaves.

Knicks - Beasley is a restricted free agent next year, but the knicks would be able match. He has the talent but just not the opportunity in Denver.

Magic are in desperate need of offense. they should keep their powder dry until a difference maker on the score sheet presents itself. I don't think Harris and 2 prospects meets that need and I don't think they should settle for less.

Frank isn’t an intriguing prospect. After three years we know what he is.

CELTICS/ WIZARDS/ NUGGETS

CELTICS - O. Porter Jr, Oubre Jr
WIZARDS - Millsap, Rosier, Beasley
NUGGETS - Hayward

CELTICS - Porter helps an already robust defense and Oubre becomes a nice piece off the bench. Porter Jr's contract is high but arguably looks better than Haywards with his rough start.

WIZARDS - Millsap is still a useful piece and his contract has a team option for next year. This wouldn't be simply a salary dump though as the Wizards would also get a potential Wall replacement in Rozier. They'd need to have a taker for Wall (wink/ wink Phoenix) . Beasley was buried a bit in Denver but he's still on his rookie deal and could blossom with a new start. So Wizards get future salary relief, potential cheaper Wall replacement, and a flyer on a young dude.

NUGGETS - Obviously Denver would be betting that Hayward would do better in a different environment and they do have a need at SF even with a healthy Barton. Lyles, Plumlee, and Hernangomez can soak up Millsap's minutes. Denver has shown they want to be in the mix for big name stars (ie. rumors regarding potential Butler, George, and Love trades) but have yet to be able to attract any via free agency - Millsap being the exception. Trading is the only way they get it done. However, with Denver currently sitting at #1 in the west, hard to see them messing with the sauce right now. A fun idea nonetheless.

I don't think the nuggets need a SF with a healthy Barton that costs 31mil. Millsap is playing great for them, and will re-sign for less likely. Celtics should trade Hayward after the season. Hopefully he puts his game back together by then. Consistently.

The two players Boston gives up are both better than either player it gets in return. Hard no from Ainge on this one.

Agree with Supercollider this time.

Bucks/Nuggets/Hawks

Bucks - Plumlee, Bembry
Nuggets - Dellavadova, Maker
Hawks - Faried (exp), Arthur (exp), 2019 Denver 1st

Bucks get a better starting Center.

Nuggets shed a lot of cap space, get a veteran backup PG, and take a flyer on Maker.

Hawks get a first and expirings for the low price of Bembry.

The bucks Just signed Lopez so it's not a better starting center and they give up maker.

Wizards/Nuggets
Wizards - Millsap, Beasley, 2019 2nd
Nuggets - Porter Jr.

Wizards do this because porter + Beal + wall gets super expensive starting next year and millsap has a team option for next year. The wizards could decline and save 30 mil. They also get a prospect and a pick to boot. Millsap also keeps them competitive next year.

Nuggets do this because they have weakness at sf, porter adds D, and he fits more with their timeline than millsap. They'd also have to be confident with lyles starting at PF. Danger for denver is the length of porter jrs deal. In 20/21 his player option year worth 28.5 mil, there may be a better Porter Jr playing his position in Denver still on his rookie deal, lol.

The Wizards would pass. Porter's big deal has him super underrated at this point. The guy is a really good 2 way player. He's an elite 3 and d player that can create and finish when given the chance. Plus, he's still 24. He makes less than Millsapp and had a much better year. Plus, the Wizards have done well in improving their bench this off season. It should be pretty solid this year. They don't really need Beasley. Lawson, Satoransky, Rivers, Brown, Oubre, Green, and Mahimi is a pretty solid bench with the only place you could possibly want to upgrade being the center spot. Mahimi isn't a guy you would ever want to have in the starting lineup and Howard has his risks.

2.) 11 Jul 2018 17:15:22
The nuggets have a mystery player in mpj. Won't need a guy like porter if mpj develops injury free.

3.) 11 Jul 2018 17:39:12
I would like to see the Bucks S and T J. Parker to Wash. for O. Porter. That would give them
B. Lopez
Giannis A.
O. Porter
K. Middleton (Moving Middleton back to SG)
E. Bledsoe.

Thoughts?

Can't imagine parker salary within league trading rules of porters 25 mil.

Bulls/Nuggets

Bulls - Plumlee, Arthur (exp), Beasley, 2019 2nd
Nuggets - R. Lopez (exp), Payne (exp)

Bulls take on salary but get a pick and a prospect in Beasley. Plumlee also fits in nicely.

Nuggets dump salary and get off of that extra year of Plumlee's contract. In the short term, Lopez backs up Jokic and Payne subs for Murray.

From a bulls perspective this is a good play. Nuggets were already willing to go over the cap and plumlee fits with jokic nicely.

LINsane in the membrane...

Denver Nuggets - SF Carroll, PG Lin
Brooklyn Nets - C Plumlee, PF Faried

NUGGETS -
Caveat: Denver would only do this if they were able to move on from Chandler either by S&T or he declines his player option (unlikely). This trade would fill the hole at SF, give the Nuggets a decent backup to Murray at PG in Lin (assuming he's healthy), and shed Faried who can't break the lineup in Denver at PF. They would need a backup center but one can be found in the first round at 14 (shoutout to Robert Williams and Michell Robinson) or in free agency.

NETS -
Plumlee is actually quite good and would be the starter in Brooklyn over Moz. He doesn't fit next to Jokic and he needs more minutes than DEN can provide at backup C. Faried may no longer be a starter but he can still hustle and get rebounds off the bench. Denver could throw in a second if the Nets wanted more draft capital but I don't think it'd be necessary.

Thoughts? It's the rare SF + PG for C + PF trade that seems to work.

BadLuckDragon

1.) 20 May 2018 02:43:49
I can't imagine Brooklyn would want to take on Plumlee's salary. He's overpayed and to old to be a part of a rebuild. Carroll and Lin are both on expirings. They should be turn both of those guys in to young assets.

2.) 20 May 2018 16:50:39
Nets dealt plumlee to blazers before blazers dealt him to nuggets. He plays well next to jokic, and plumlee isn't expiring like Carroll and lin. Where's the compensation for nets? Faried can rebound and dunk. Lin and Carroll bring more to the table for the nets needs. Mozgov didn't start anyway, or play in most of the nets games. Played in 44 started 13. Many of those games were 3-4 minute outings.

I agree with two things:
1. Nobody else would give a first for parker on 1 knee
2. Too many people unnecessarily bash ChurchPugh. I read this page a lot but rarely post. Nobody takes more hits in the comments than this guy and for what. He's just trying to have fun making fake trades like the rest of us.

Hmm, that's interesting. I could see it actually. Would lead to a huge logjam at SF in NY though. Hill, Moore, Knox, Thomas. What about subbing Ajinca (exp) for Moore with NY throwing in a second.

Don't think cavs can absorb the contract.

I could see Arthur + 2 2nds for cash considerations to Brooklyn, Sac, or Altlanta (since they all have the cap space) . I'd rather see Arthur go along with Faried and 2019 1st to save even more money for Denver.

Ie. Denver/ Atl
Atl - Faried + Arthur + 1st
Denver - Bembry

Denver/ Sac
Sac - Faried + Arthur + 1st
Denver - Temple, Labissiere

Denver/ Brooklyn
Brooklyn - Faried + Arthur + 1st (or preferably 2 2nds since Brooklyn is only absorbing 8 mil)
Denver - Lin.
