Grizzlies receive: Jimmy Butler, Gorgui Dieng, Justin Patton

Wolves receive: Jaren Jackson Jr., Dillon Brooks, Chandler Parsons

Classof2018

1.) 03 Nov 2018 18:27:55
I think KAT would have his feelers hurt.

2.) 03 Nov 2018 19:58:47
I think Jackson and KAT could be a good pairing. Jackson can take some of KAT’s responsibilities on defense and spread the floor for him. It’s just hard to imagine the Wolves taking on that contract in a deal for Butler. Also, while Jackson can already be a solid role player for a good team, he’s not the kind of win now talent that Thibs wants.

3.) 03 Nov 2018 20:39:54
I don't believe you can trade butler for an equal player. Or, a set of decent players and picks and win now. I don't think the deal exists, but I could be wrong. It's almost like thibs made a backroom poker table deal with glen taylor about making the playoffs or something, and is perfectly content to squeak into the playoffs and get as many wins out of butler as possible until the deadline. Accepting, that offers will dry-up and decrease in value as the season progresses. Will also drum up some suitors we haven't heard from yet too, I'm sure.

4.) 03 Nov 2018 21:15:11
I really like it for both teams. Memphis wants to win now, and makes that move. Minny takes a bad contract for a top 5 pick.

5.) 03 Nov 2018 21:29:21
If I’m the Grizzlies there’s no way I’m giving up JJJ.

Grizzlies receive:
G DeMar DeRozan

Knicks receive:
4th pick in draft (Mo Bamba)
F Chandler Parsons

Raptors receive:
9th pick in draft (SGA)
36th pick in draft
F Lance Thomas (expiring)
G Courtney Lee

Classof2018

1.) 21 Jun 2018 17:23:50
Seems like the Raptors would just cut the Knicks out and take #4 and Parsons.

2.) 21 Jun 2018 18:37:19
@bmill but rumors say they want sga, so here they don’t have to take parsons and get some more serviceable pieces.

3.) 21 Jun 2018 18:40:47
I like it.

4.) 21 Jun 2018 21:39:37
I like it so it can't happen.

1.) 20 May 2018 23:34:43
And why would Boston do this?

2.) 21 May 2018 00:32:31
You mush really hate Boston.

3.) 21 May 2018 01:16:52
Hayward and Irving for #4 and a bunch of role players? That’s a sub par package for one of them, let alone both.

4.) 21 May 2018 01:17:55
Why would Boston do that? Yes Boston is doing well even without Kyrie and Hayward but they will surely be better with those 2. Stevens is a genius, he will figure it out.

5.) 21 May 2018 01:24:05
Miami over cap can't absorb that much salary.

6.) 21 May 2018 01:34:13
Boston declines.

7.) 21 May 2018 02:06:23
Is he high. are you high? Lol.

8.) 21 May 2018 04:15:04
Boston just showed last night why they need an elite player like Irving. It really should have put the trade kyrie stuff to rest. Even ignoring they win the series. They clearly don't have a guy that can go out and just will them to buckets on offense. Irving can do that.

NYK gets:
G Kemba Walker (agrees to extension upon trade)
F Nicolas Batum ($76M remaining for three seasons)
#11 pick in NBA Draft

CHA gets:
C Enes Kanter ($17M player option, likely accepted)
G Frank Ntilikina (rookie deal)
F Lance Thomas (expiring)
G Ron Baker (expiring)
#9 pick in NBA Draft

Classof2018

1.) 13 May 2018 21:52:27
After Ntilikina's lackluster rookie year, I can't see them getting the 11 back. The Knicks would probably be better off keeping him out of the trade and hoping he develops. Really I don't think they should go for a win now move this offseason. With Porzingas being out a large portion of the season, they should just tank. Outside of KP and possibly Ntilikina, what building blocks do they really have? They constantly go for the short term answer. Doing it again probably won't turn out well. The world is just to connected now to sell NYC on it's own.

2.) 14 May 2018 03:52:34
Rkenne on the verge of a meltdown. Say goodbye to lebron.

MIL gets:
C Rudy Gobert, G George Hill, F Kyle Singler

SAC gets:
G Matthew Dellavedova, F Jabari Parker, G Alex Abrines

UTA gets:
C John Henson, G Vince Carter, F Skal Labissiere, 2020 top 5 protected first round pick (MIL), 2019 second round pick (SAC via CLE)

OKC gets:
F Mirza Teletovic, G Rodney Hood

The Bucks get an elite rim protector and a two-way combo guard in exchange for a top prospect coming off of two major knee surgeries, and expendable contracts. The Kings get a chance at a potential stud in Parker only for the cost of taking on Dellavedova, while trading a young big and a low end draft choice. Gobert has become oft-injured and his fit with Derrick Favors has become questionable due to their lack of floor spacing. Hood is redundant with the other wings on the Jazz roster and is now coming off the bench right before a contract year, heading into restricted free agency. Acquiring the draft choices, a young big in Skal Labissiere, a serviceable big in Henson, and an expiring contract, will help both in the short term and long term. The Thunder get Rodney Hood to replace Andre Roberson gone from injury and a sharpshooter in Teletovic to help boaster the bench.

Classof2018

1.) 31 Jan 2018 04:44:02
Okay. Elite rim protector, that's why Jazz are holding on to Gobert especially for that crap.

LAC gets:
C Tristan Thompson, G Iman Shumpert, G Derrick Rose, 2018 unprotected first round pick (CLE via BKN), 2018 protected 1-9 first round pick (NYK)

Lakers Pipe Dream
Lakers trade Deng and Ingram to OKC for George. Move Clarkson and Randle to Mavericks for Noel. Dump Nance Jr and Hart in the offseason for second round picks. Waive all non-guaranteed contracts and renounce all free agents except George. Sign LeBron James and DeMarcus Cousins/DeAndre Jordan with cap space and resign PG13. Get LeBron's agency clients, KCP (cap mid level) and Noel (vet minimum). Wade, Rose, and Frye tag along from Cleveland for the vets minimum.
Championship Roster
PG Ball / Rose
SG George / Wade
SF James / Caldwell-Pope
PF Kuzma / Frye
C Cousins / Noel

Classof2018

1.) 25 Dec 2017 17:39:46
While it's all highly unlikely, this biggest problems I see are that KCP and Noel won't sign those deals. Neither has gotten a big long term contract yet and I think that's what both will be looking for above winning. Also, Rose can't be depended on as a back up pg unless, there is a third pg or another ag so Wade can slide in. I'm not sure at this point Frye can really play the back up pf. He seems relegated to center with his lack of athleticism. I think the bench in general needs a little more length and athleticism.

2.) 01 Jan 2018 03:34:12
agree kcp won't take that deal, prob not noel either.

LAL receives:
F Paul George ($19.5M - expiring), F Nikola Mirotic ($12.5M -
expiring)

CHI receives:
F Luol Deng (three years, $54M), G Jordan Clarkson (three years, $36M), future first round pick (Lakers)

OKC receives:
F Julius Randle ($4.1M - expiring), F Quincy Pondexter ($3.9M -
expiring), future second round pick (Lakers)

Breakdown: OKC in seven-eight weeks realizes they are not contenders anymore and they have to trade Paul George before he walks. They also want to cut money off of their crazy luxury tax bill. The Bulls step in as the third team with cap space and take on Luol Deng, who has two more years under contract after this season, and in return get Jordan Clarkson and a first round pick. The Thunder get Randle, as a young piece they can resign, while saving money this season. The Lakers trade for Paul George in advance, keeping his Bird Rights in the process, only mortgaging Randle (who they won't resign), Clarkson (who they will probably have to move anyway in the offseason), and a first round pick. They also save money by moving Deng entirely, instead of having to stretch and waive his deal when the offseason hits.

The Lakers are the only team that take it.

Good trade. Bucks would hate to lose Middleton but to get Gasol it's worth it. Grizzlies get the picks they need to rebuild around Conley after the trade, without taking on any major long term salary. The Bulls moving on from Lopez would open up time for Robin Lopez and moving Valentine and a protected pick seems worth getting a vital piece to the future like Middleton.

They are not getting Anthony Freakin Davis for Kyrie Irving and/ or Kevin Love. The only team with the assets to deal for Davis would be the Celtics.

The Jazz wouldn't trade Favors who when healthy is a top 40 player who defends, rebounds, and scores on the inside for Anderson and Burks for basically an older version in Courtney Lee. In all reality the Jazz don't need Anderson as they have a pretty complete roster at this point. The Wolves would need at least two 1st Round picks if they were to take on Noah. The Rockets won't do a Nelo deal unless all they have to give up is Anderson and a first round pick and frankly they shouldn't become they need to keep depth. Trading Ariza or Capela or an extra first rounder would only be to the Rockets' detriment.

Can I change the proposal a little bit?
Knicks get Kyrie Irving and Tobias Harris
Pistons get Kevin Love and Joakim Noah
Cavaliers get Kristaps Porzingis, Stanley Johnson, Ish Smith, Lance Thomas and Jon Leuer

I feel Detroit should be the one that has to take on Noah's contract considering they are getting a top 30 player in Kevin Love for a subpar package of players. I also believe the Knicks would want something else for giving up Porzingis' future. Tobias Harris is a native New Yorker, grew up in Long Island, his family still resides in New York, and he is very close to Carmelo Anthony so I believe it would be ideal that he becomes a Knick. If the Knicks are willing to give up Porzingis for Irving, Melo and Kyrie are a great duo and there is enough role guys on the roster to where they could make the playoffs this season and recruit others in free agency next season. If the Cavs believe LeBron is going to leave, try and grab a future superstar in Porzingis now, Johnson is a young asset, Smith gives them another stopgap at PG along with Derrick Rose and Jose Calderon and they hopefully won't become the Brooklyn Nets after LeBron leaves.

I like it. Pretty realistic cause the Lakers need to move Deng, the Spurs need to step up like the rest of the conference, the Knicks need a great PG, and Grizzlies could rebuild in the tough West. The Grizzlies aren't really tied up to any long term deals besides Conley/ Gasol/ Parsons so they could take back a Noah/ Deng with picks and be okay. I might want to minus one of the future Lakers picks and replace it with a Kyle Kuzma or Josh Hart and have the Spurs throw in the extra 1st Round pick because I feel Gasol for one first is Hughes robbery.
