Sixer's got Bayless
Bucks got Teletovich
Nets got Lin.
Beal, derozan, batum staying where they are.

Darkwing Duck21

1.) 01 Jul 2016 23:42:05
I like Bayless in Philly. Young vet at 27 years old. Shot 44% from 3. Could be a great secondary facilitator and ball handler behind Simmons in the lineup.

2.) 02 Jul 2016 00:16:37
Mirza Magic!

3.) 02 Jul 2016 01:30:59
I agree, for their roster he fits. And if the upgrade he's a great backup!

4.) 02 Jul 2016 03:38:43
Teletovic perfect for bucks I would rather have Ryan Anderson but good silver metal.

24 Jun 2016 02:57:19
Hearing wolves totally low balled Chicago. Bulls asked for Dunn and lavine, wolves refused offered Rubio, bazz and Dieng. Thibs making friends!

Darkwing Duck21

1.) 24 Jun 2016 05:39:26
I liked the Dunn and Lavine rumor from a minny side. Not sure why they wouldn't do that.

2.) 24 Jun 2016 07:24:16
I don't believe that rumor because Minny would did that quick.

3.) 24 Jun 2016 11:27:14
I don't think they ever had any intention of helping Chicago rebuild. Supposedly it was all thibs messing with Chicago's FO.

4.) 24 Jun 2016 13:36:16
I would think the personal relationship issues should go out the door if butler was actually available.

Would make me nervous to have thibs running the show if bed let something like that prevent bettering the team.

5.) 24 Jun 2016 14:35:54
Couple things: 1st I trust thibs ability to scout, so if he thinks Lavine and Dunn is better for the team going forward, I'm cool with it. Especially since I dig me some Lavine.
2nd there's more of these petty manipulations behind the scenes in all sports than most fans realize.
3rd some of the reports coming out of Chicago when thibs was fired were truly toxic, and I don't necessarily blame him for wanting to stick it to that front office.

What is in the water in NY?
Reports of hill to Utah for the #12
Haywood to Boston for Bradley smart and the #3
And Rose to NY for Lopez Calderon and? .
Hold on to your seatbelts, its going to be a bumpy ride.

Darkwing Duck21

1.) 22 Jun 2016 21:58:59
haven't heard of that Boston rumor yet. where did you see/ hear it?

2.) 22 Jun 2016 22:33:03
The Hayward deal was a hoax. I'll be in the corner thinking about what I've done for a while.

22 Jun 2016 20:13:44
Teague to Indy
George hill to Utah
#12 to Atlanta
Being reported.
We have movement ladies and probably mostly gentleman.

Darkwing Duck21

1.) 22 Jun 2016 23:49:30
For the life of me I don't understand why Jazz chose to include Pacers and get Hill instead of Teague. In my opinion they are very similar style players but Teague is younger and better player and they have similar contract situations.

20 Jun 2016 00:21:22
So here's an interesting conundrum: speculation about a top 5 pick for D'angelo Russell has set the Minnesota and LA fan sites ablaze. Minnesotans believe the #5 would be perfect for Russell who could act as a 3rd guard behind Rubio and Lavine, while laker fans believe Russell for the 5 is essentially giving up a future all star for a pick in a weak draft which doesn't have any guards capable of equaling Russell ability.
Which is true?
Do you see a Russell trade happening?
Is Murray, Russell without the character concerns?
Does Dunn project to be better overall without the shooting ability?

Darkwing Duck21

1.) 20 Jun 2016 02:41:17
I don't want to trade Russell. Especially to a team like the Wolves who will already be a good team in 2 years. I would be very mad if the Lakers traded Russell for a top 5 pick to draft another guard.

2.) 20 Jun 2016 03:06:34
Despite his off the court issues, i still think Russell will be the 2nd best player in this draft, he's a great scorer, has some defensive potenial, and is a great facilitator. with Luke Walton on board i think he will average 16/ 4/ 6 next year.

I'm not that high on Murray due to his defensive liabilities and athleticism. But hey most people felt the same way about Curry.

So to sum it up i think Russell will be a superstar, while murray is a 3rd option on a contender.

3.) 20 Jun 2016 14:00:17
Russell had a rough year. The laker will not trade him unless he's a nightmare behind the seens.

Las Vegas Summer League starts today. Who you watchin', are you even paying attention, and who do you think might be an under the radar prospect to keep an eye on? I've gone on the record pimping Coty Coyle for my wolves. Can't wait to see a little bit of Simmons, Ingram, Dunn and Murray.

Darkwing Duck21

1.) 08 Jul 2016 14:50:39
I'm just happy I could watch games on ESPN this year. I don't think you could watch summer league on ESPN the years before if I'm right.

2.) 08 Jul 2016 15:49:13
I'm going to the game today (Lakers vs Pelicans) and tomorrow (Lakers vs Sixers) 🙌🏻.

3.) 08 Jul 2016 16:07:09
So mad at you Daniel, was in Vegas like 5 years ago and caught a couple games. Decent fun. Ran into Kevin McHale at CVS on the strip. Only time I've been truly starstruck.

4.) 09 Jul 2016 05:02:49
Maker, Nuggets, Suns, Ingram, Simmons, Brown, Poeltl, and Cameron Payne.

07 Jul 2016 02:20:57
All right: I'm going to walk on the wild side and pull a Lakers take out of my you know what. So if I'm LA I under no circumstances trade for Russell Westbrook. My reason? Because you actually have the makings of the perfect roster for Russell as it is, they're just young.
1st the main reason westy and KD never truly meshed is that they're two different players made for two different systems. KD is a cerebral, system orchestrating kind of guy who needs a motion offense full of backcuts and slippicks. Westbrook is a pure Iso P&R kind of guard like Iverson.
2nd what a guy like that needs are shooters, outlets to pass to when the defense collapse. Russell and Ingram fit that perfectly.
3rd being so ball dominant Westy does need someone else to maintain some semblance of ball movement to keep a defense honest. Russell could easily play a much better Fischer to westy's not quite Bryant.
4th if Mozgov and Randle can hit from midrange, set picks and do the dirty work you literally have a roster ready made for Russell. Plus he's a SoCal guy anyway and what's he going to do, sign with the clippers? CP3 might have a word to say bout that.
Go ahead bash me if you will, that's my Lakers take. Suck another year get a pick sign Westbrook.

Darkwing Duck21

1.) 07 Jul 2016 04:07:31
That is definitely one scenario but for the right price it makes a lot of sense to trade for Westbrook. A major reason why is if they trade for him this season they get his bird rights. This not only allows them to offer him more money and years but allow them to go over the salary cap to resign him. This effectively makes the Lakers a much more attractive option since they could add another major free agent and still be able to bring in Westbrook and offer him more money and years than any other team.

This depends largely on how much the Thunder would want for Westbrook but if they take say Clarkson and Randle and future pick for him then next summer the Lakers could sign somebody like Blake Griffin or Gordon Hayward and other minor signings then use Bird Rights to exceed the salary cap and sign Westbrook to a big 5yr deal.

This would help address the youth issue you identify as the Lakers would be able to bring in much more help in free agency if they traded for Westbrook instead of just signing him outright where they'd be limited by salary cap.

2.) 07 Jul 2016 05:23:12
Totally agree Darkwing. No need to gut the roster right now after 3 years of tanking.

03 Jul 2016 17:20:44
I really don't see how the dollars that are being given to fringe players mid level starters and bench warmers this off season lead to any thing but a lock out. Probably after 2017-2018. You just don't give guys like Mozgov, Mahinmi, bazemore and even Conley that kind of money without creating serious problems. Couldn't be happier my TWolves have avoided the kind of spending excesses that many teams have this year.
Austin rivers 3 years 35 million 11.6 per
Luol Deng 4years 72 million, 18 per
Mike Conley 5 years 153 million 31 per.
Preposterous!

Darkwing Duck21

1.) 03 Jul 2016 17:35:17
I think Twolves should try to sign Jared Sullinger or Terrence Jones and get a close to 3&d player on the wing.

2.) 03 Jul 2016 18:21:09
Wolves just signed Cole Aldrich: 3years 22 million. One of us and a decent bargain for a backup big considering.

3.) 03 Jul 2016 19:47:03
It's crazy how role players and getting paid like superstars. 18 mil per and up for players that's not even all stars.

4.) 03 Jul 2016 20:17:45
I don't like the Aldrich signing too much. I guess wolves will continue with Towns and Dieng starting down low.

5.) 03 Jul 2016 20:48:01
@nba: who else were they going to sign? Not Deng at 18 per, not Anderson at 20 per. Dieng is decent and signing Aldrich gives us a quality backup that clippers aficionados are already lamenting.
Who's better? Mozgov at 16 per or Aldrich at 7?

6.) 03 Jul 2016 20:52:21
Definitely the Aldrich deal is better. I would've just liked to see Sullinger or Jones sign there though. Pretty decent lineup though now, just need a backup wing

Rubio/ Dunn/ Jones
LaVine
Wiggins/ Muhammad
Dieng/ Bjelica
Towns/ Aldrich/ Pekovic.

7.) 03 Jul 2016 21:06:36
I wanted them to go after Bazemore until I saw he was asking for near 20. I still think Dudley would have been a real nice signing for them. Thibs would love him.

8.) 03 Jul 2016 21:17:47
Darkwing the Wolves have a 2 yr 40m offer on the table for Pau Gasol.

9.) 03 Jul 2016 21:36:22
Way under the radar: they've got jimmer fredette signed to their summer league squad a 2nd team of
Dunn
Fredette
Bazz
Bjelica
Aldrich
Not great, not bad.

10.) 03 Jul 2016 23:28:46
@jj: i know and I have mixed feelings. Great veteran leader, too old. Good all around player, too old. Decent breaking of floodgates as far as free agents perceiving Minnesota as a viable option, too old.

11.) 04 Jul 2016 00:19:37
Doesnt surprise me that Wolves are after Gasol, they still need anither reliable big.

12.) 04 Jul 2016 01:05:30
These deals won't be anything compared to next summer. NBA should've likely distributed the influx of TV money over a longer period of time rather than the two jumps this and next year then flat lining after that (although endorsements on jerseys could cause another increase) .

13.) 04 Jul 2016 16:07:58
They can't stagger the cap raise. Its in the CBA that all revenue is to be split equally between players and owners.

24 Jun 2016 02:15:13
Um, am following draft on twitter and just saw the ibaka to Orlando deal. Does anyone know how to run a wellness check on BENSIMMONS.
#magicgotworked!

Darkwing Duck21

1.) 24 Jun 2016 03:13:30
I think it was ok for both If magic could keep ibaka beyond it be okay. So magic have to sign parsons or at least Deng to make it a Lil better.

2.) 24 Jun 2016 03:51:18
Lol oladipo will be a superstar under vogel he said. But he got his defensive big man yeah?

With the 16th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics select: Furkan Korkmaz, SG, Turkey

The Celtics take a flyer on another international player, this time at shooting guard. He again brings size and shooting to a team that is lacking in the shooting department. This is also a good pick as he may or may not be coming over to the NBA this year. The Celtics are loaded with players already on the roster as well as many draft picks in this years draft, so developing him overseas and bringing him over when he is more ready might be a great steal for the Celtics down the road.

Other options for the Celtics could be to trade this pick as well as other for more established players or if he falls, I think that Valentine might be a great fit and could be a great replacement for Even Turner if he leaves during free agency.

2.) 13 Jun 2016 20:25:39
Well dang I was going to take the Grizzlies for your spot Darkwing but it's all good then.

3.) 13 Jun 2016 21:29:25
Did you have the frizz NBA? I gave it to Thunderfan bcuz I took his nuggets pick when his comp was down. My bad.

4.) 13 Jun 2016 21:50:54
We took Baldwin, reasoning on last post.

5.) 13 Jun 2016 22:33:40
Nah it's all good, Schmitz is on the clock with Pistons pick.

6.) 13 Jun 2016 22:42:48
With the 18th pick in the 2016 NBA draft, the Detroit Pistons select Taurean Prince, Small Forward, Baylor

This is pretty high for him, but they don't have any big holes besides a wing. Prince can play 3 and 4, he shoots the 3 and can guard smaller guards. They could go small with Jackson, KCP, Johnson, Prince, And Morris, He can also play off the bench.

7.) 14 Jun 2016 14:22:39
With the 19th pick in the NBA draft the Denver Nuggets select Cheick Diallo from Kansas.

We take another high upside guy who fills our need for a shot blocker and depth at PF/ C.

If he'd sign an extension I'd do this in a heartbeat. But I doubt he'd sign an extension and I doubt the clippers would do this without subbing lavine for bazz, which I then wouldn't do.
Oh and per the stepian rule a 1st would have to come back to Minny and or be eliminated as part of the equation altogether.

Agree with Simmons to a point. Russell hasn't shown on any consistent basis. But in the long term he has a much more comprehensive skill set than Oak. I feel like oak is who he is. He won't ever be better than passable defensively ( and that remains to be seen) he still needs to add at least a midrange game to help space ( especially playing with Ben Simmons), but he can go for 20 and ten every night. With Russell the skill set to be great Is there. the question as to if he ever puts it together has yet to be answered.
It'll be an interesting question to revisit in 5 years.

@ DABULLS. Wiggins is the starter at sf bazz is the backup, realy I don't think ariza is an upgrade over Wiggins so essentially your trading rubio for two backups. Good backups, but rubio can get you a better deal than that.

Minny says no. Easily, and without a second thought. I like oak, but your getting 40% of our starting lineup plus a 1st. I don't like oak that much.

1: wolves are under the minimum, so cap space is not an issue.
2: no team should take a " below average deal, that's just a way for fans to justify ripping a trade partner off, or an indication of bad ownership/ front office.
3: who are you talking about giving 25 million to? With a group of kids that are all going to need extensions in the next 2-4 years, paying someone just to pay someone is pointless, and probably takes time away from developing youngsters.

If you want the honest, most valuable to their teams success I go
#1 Lebron: obvious, they're 500 w/ o
#2 Chris Paul: clip show goes nowhere without cp3
#3 steph: Durant decided to become robin thus making klay batgirl: but GSW goes nowhere without steph.
#4 Brad Stevens: assembles mazarati's out of discarded Saturn parts.
#5 pg13 what would Larry bird have without Paul George
#6 Kyle Lowry: not flashy, not a stat leader, not a guy who commands much attention at all, but runs his team like a greased engine, scores, defends, and is the heart of a final four team that would otherwise be demarr derozan at the free throw line and friends.
#7 Dame. What else does Portland have? If you think CJ does anything without Damien you haven't watched Portland trailblazer basketball.
As for russel and Khawi, they haven't proven they can do anything without the hall of famers that made their job easy. tho Russell does have the ability, what happens when teams sag off to eliminate penetration because he has noone to keep em hOnest? What does kawhi do now that the parts that made him a bit of an afterthought were exposed?

My bad, I should clear this up. By bothering me all night: I meant hadn't really occurred to me, outside of sticking up for our own, till someone brought it to my attention.
By doing laps of atonement: I meant apathetically doing doing shots of johnny walker blue label out of a silver shot glass I welded onto a pinky ring.
That's my fault I should be more precise with my language.
