If they trade Ingram and Ball, any chance they had t sign Lebron goes out the window. That team at is the 3rd best is the West and could be a bad as fifth and outside of Kuzma, there is no real upside.

2.) 14 Feb 2018 16:52:06
Ball, Ingram and a 1st rnd pick for cauly stein? Is that a joke.

3.) 14 Feb 2018 17:18:52
terrible first trade.

4.) 14 Feb 2018 19:06:23
I think this team would challenge warriors and possibly beat them and with rockets losing ariza that's a big blow. Ingram and ball don't help James sign. James wants experience to win now not three years down the line. Trading them enables the lakers to dump Deng and get a quality big to sign James and George. Lakers signing George and Bradley is y James would go there. Not to help develop ball and Ingram.

My opinion outside this trade. Trading ball Deng and Ingram for a star player allows Lakers to have cap to sign George and james could be a way to get them to sign with more experience player. Or stretch Deng have cap to sign james and George plus someone else.

I like to sign george and James. Plus sign Avery Bradley. then trade Deng and ball for DJ. Sign randle to his offer making him unrestricted next year and keeping him.

Bradley
George
Ingram
James
Jordan
Sixth man sign Evans and 7th man Randle and 8th kuzma .
Now there be no mismatch with james defeating the warriors. love is a great player he just don't fit playing against the warriors. Now it be a Lakers and Celtics in finals in 2019.
-bradley can slow down Steph.
-George can d up Thompson but can Thompson d up George no
- james can handle Durant or least equal him out
-ingram can guard green plus play the 3 on offense.
-dj well dominate any center they have. So yeah this be great for James and George to join the Lakers even with out DJ and Bradley because there other options. But with them teaming up would be deadly. Especially to the Lakers because they will still have cap and can trade for another star with picks and young players. So the warriors wouldn't make finals.

5.) 14 Feb 2018 19:50:33
I believe Ball and Ingram should be enough for WCS and capspace.

I'm not sure Bradley can be a full time pointguard, maybe he can do this, because LBJ is the main ballhandler.
Would LBJ take a discount when LA can sign CP3?

Batum will get more money.

2.) 05 Apr 2016 13:15:20
Bulls might trade Butler but for players who could help immediately and some good picks.

3.) 05 Apr 2016 15:32:31
It is a terrible idea. Pelicans have given away their 1st Rounders for the last several years. They need to build around the picks and sign a good SF in FA.

1st of all you can't trade a s&trade (Clarkson ) with another player

2nd Clarkson is maybe sligtly better than Teague and has for sure higher potential. . also you can't make that trade because Clarkson 15 plus shabbazz contract don't match with Teague 8m contract

3rd Russel and randle make around 8m per year when only asik makes 10m, let alone David 25m! contract.

2.) 31 Mar 2016 15:40:35
Twolves say no to nick young and garbage for muhammad.

3.) 31 Mar 2016 16:30:22
You ain't getting Davis for that package.

I like it. Although I think someone desperate will offer howard a max deal and he will follow the money.

2.) 29 Feb 2016 09:32:26
He is 30, and he had some injury issues. I think he won't get better offers.

3.) 29 Feb 2016 11:14:54
I think Jeremy Lin should be re-signed.

4.) 29 Feb 2016 11:16:05
20+ teams will have max money available, I would be shocked if Howard wasn't offered a max deal by at least 5 teams.

5.) 29 Feb 2016 13:29:41
Howard will get max money. And it will be a mistake by whichever team gives it. Sad but true.

6.) 29 Feb 2016 16:53:38
25 teams wih cap space, and most are under the salary floor next year.

Howard will certainly get max money, (first year around $29.7) and this season, guys like Nic Batum will get maxed as well ($25.5). Owners would rather overpay a starter, than give away $16 mil in buses, and not get a player for it.

In fact, I think because it's such a crazy year since the Players turned down cap smoothing, all these players will get max tiers deals:

$21.2 Tier: Drummond, Whiteside, Beal, Barnes
$25.5 Tier: Durant, Horford, Batum, Conley, Derozan, Ryan Anderson
$29.7 Tier: Dwight Howard

Some of these gusy would never get maxxed in a normal year.

7.) 29 Feb 2016 17:36:39
@shrink, I agree completely, I even think it will be much worse this summer than the next one, when cap goes to approximately 108 mil, because teams are going to try and use space, even overpaying players, since next year they are going to be under cap either way (or under luxury tax, if they try to complete team this summer) ; but as 2017 is going to be really strong FA class, teams will try to assemble a nice team to be factor in agency. Besides, next summer might be quieter, since cap is probably falling in summer of 2018.

Considering this players, I am only not sure if R. Anderson gets max, I think he'll be around 18-20. Only if Nets enter the game, but I think he'll prefer situation where he can compete.

Cavs offseason

1) trade d.waiters, a.bennett, t.thompson, b.haywood and 2 future 1st round picks for k.love and r.turiaf
- that's one of the best packages for love which includes 3 promising&unproven players and future draft picks. Wolves have to trade love and, so, 3 young talents and future picks will hasten their rebuilding process. No need to say why cavs make that trade: they will have a big 4 (irving, wiggins, lebron, love) which is young and much talented.
2) sign g.davis (2-year, 6m) via MLE
- experienced backup bigman who plays both pf and c positions.
3) sign t.douglas (min.)
- backup pg who adds depth for pg/sg spots.

Irving - dellavedova - douglas
Wiggins - miller -
Lebron - felix - jones
Love - davis
Varejao - turiaf - powell

Other than those, there is cap hold for Zimmerman (1m) and empty roster spots (4*0.55=2.2m) . Also, teams under salary cap do not have MLE, they have room exception in which they can offer 2-year, 6m deal at best.

Rather than signing with Lakers, Durant may force Clippers to trade DJ to make room for him. Obviously, Clippers is better option in LA, right now.

There is no need to trade for Whiteside. Also, Heat doesn't have his full bird rights, so I think they can't send him away via s&t.
