ATL-TOR

TOR recieves Paul Millsap

ATL recieves Jakob Poeltl, Terrence Ross, TOR 2017 first round pick, and maybe TOR 2018 1st round pick

I think that this trade would benefit both teams because Paul Millsap would probably leave Atlanta at the end of the 2017 season and if the Raptors were to get Millsap, he would be very helpful for a playoff run and he'd most likely re-sign.

Lowry-Joseph
DeRozan-Powell
Carroll-Caboclo
Millsap-Patterson
Valanciunas-Sullinger

Schroder-Jack
Korver-Hardaway Jr.
Bazemore-Ross
Humphries-Scott
Howard-Splitter.

one draft pick will do in my opinion?

2.) 16 Aug 2016 18:01:30
@Tom tom yeah that's what I was thinking.

3.) 16 Aug 2016 20:40:40
Hawks just signed Dwight so probably wouldn't have any interest in Poetl.

4.) 17 Aug 2016 12:59:56
Poetl is essentially getting another 1st rounder anyway, so I think just the 2017 would work.

5.) 18 Aug 2016 03:03:12
Can't trade two consecutive years of picks anyways, so that's a moot point in the deal.

Eliminate the 2018 pick and I'm in on this one.

Rest of Timberwolves offseason:

MIN-PHI

Timberwolves recieve Jahlil Okafor
76ers recieve Ricky Rubio and a future 1st

Jahlil and Tyus would have great chemistry from winning the title at Duke and I think that Okafor would fit in well with the t-wolves.

Sign Lance Stephenson to a one year contract with a team option for a second year.

2016 rotation:

Dunn-Jones
LaVine-Stephenson
Wiggins-Rush
KAT-Garnett-Bjelica
Okafor-Dieng-Pekovic.

1.) 28 Jul 2016 18:42:57
I don't think Rubio fit the Sixers. So I'd pass. Try lavine and Muhammad and then we have a much closer deal. May not be enough but it's closer.

2.) 28 Jul 2016 19:49:21
Are you kidding, LaVine has more value than Okafor.

3.) 28 Jul 2016 20:11:28
LAvine doesn't have more value than okafor. that's a foolish statement. Its close, but it would have to be something like Lavine and shabazz or lavine and a 2nd rounder or something.

4.) 28 Jul 2016 21:16:06
Triangle.

How in the world does lavine have more value then Okafor? not even the top four best players on that team right now.

Towns
Wiggins
Rubio
Dunn
Lavine. is fifth.

Honestly I might not even play him in the starting line up since Wiggins is best suited at the two due to his slight frame.

5.) 28 Jul 2016 21:25:54
Okafor is better than Lavine, but he would be great for philly
so i like the idea trading Okafor for LaVine and shabazz.

6.) 28 Jul 2016 21:58:39
Okay a lot of the same logic applies here that aplied to the Monroe trades
In that the Wolves do not need another big, they already have 8 as you forgot Aldrich and Hill and Payne

Also:

1)LaVine provides shooting, which the Wolves desperately need

2)Dunn is not better than LaVine yet, dude hasn't even played an NBA minute yet

3)who cares if your backup PG and starting center already have good chemistry

4)Dieng is a better fit next to Towns, as Towns is better at the 5 and Dieng actually provides spacing and defense, Okafor does not

5)LaVine actually has the potential to be a more versatile player than Okafor, so he has more value.

7.) 28 Jul 2016 23:54:35
This isn't even a question. Lavine went up 4 pts per game. Even or down in most other areas. He just finished his second year. Okafor in his first year did far more individually than lavine has in either his first OR second year.

Good but not great guards are common in this league. Down low dominant centers. Not so much. Unless you realistically see lavine turning into a klay Thompson level player (he won't) okafor has more value. Honestly, lavine is more valuable to the wolves. But across the league, okafor has much more value and potential.

8.) 29 Jul 2016 00:15:37
Okafor although front court is crowded currently I think he'd be a great return on Rubio and a better long term fit on Twolves.

Don't think Rubio is a great fit with 76ers but Okafor allegedly hasn't been getting great returns and maybe the draft pick helps sway them (probably not tho since franchise is getting impatient) .

In a vacuum LaVine probably doesn't have more value than Okafor but i think he has more value to the Twolves than Okafor would bring since they desperately need shooting with Wiggins, Rubio and Dunn not good shooters from distance (not that LaVine is lights out but he is the best they got still young and is freakishly athletic and versatile)

9.) 29 Jul 2016 02:27:06
LaVine's season average only went up 4 pts, but his second half average was up 6 pts from his 1st year average and he cut down on his turnovers and should improve defensively with Thibs

I don't think Okafor is going to get much better, the only thing he's good at is down low scoring, that's it

Lavine's potential is higher than Okafor's, but so is his bust potential, but LaVine made huge strides from year 1 to year 2 and there is no reason he can't do that again with Thibs as head coach and officially being done at PG.

10.) 29 Jul 2016 04:45:58
Now we are judging based on second half stats? He still scored less in his second half best stats than okafor in his first year. His overall value was less. Lavine is more valuable to the wolves. There is no reason to believe a player who performed at a lower level in his second year than a player in his first will ultimately be better. There is no reason to rationally believe that other than you thinking okafor, as a 19 year old big man, has already peaked. That's foolish.

11.) 29 Jul 2016 04:56:55
He didn't make huge strides. He only improved his scoring and by 4 pts. And there's no reason to believe he will make more improvement in a defensive minded coach on a team that has at least 3 players with the ball more and a bigger role. Just calm down. What, you think he's taking the ball from towns or Wiggins?

12.) 29 Jul 2016 05:08:03
Really? The point of second half stats is that it showed growth and progression

and I'm, not saying Okafor has peaked, but he certainly has the odds stacked against him being in that frontcourt jam. And his defense showed no promise at all.

My point is everyone knew Okafor would be dominant with his back to the basket, but he wasn't that great anywhere else - on or off the court.

LaVine was a very raw prospect coming in and forced to play out of position his 1st year and the 1st half of his second year. Once he played in his more natural position of SG, he showed that he can be at the very least an average starter in this league. No reason to believe he won't get even better with a better coach and more time at SG.

And LaVine's athleticsim gives him more potential to grow, while Okafor's lack of it shrinks his potential to grow.

13.) 29 Jul 2016 13:50:05
Wolves fan.

Lavine is athletic. So is Gerald Henderson. But that doesn't make him a star. Okafor scored 17.5 against double teams. So single covered on a better team would increase his potential. Not to mention he 20 so natural increases in ability could happen like shooting for instance. Lavine doesn't bring anything but potential in my eyes. Okafor bring potential along with a Absolute ability on the offensive end that will only get better.

14.) 29 Jul 2016 16:29:18
TreGib,

Okafor plays no defense, has an antiquated offensive game and has shown immaturity. What you saw out of Okafor last year is as good as it's going to get.

LaVine has a higher upside, and while he may be the fifth best player on the Wolves, so would Okafor be if he landed on the team.

Wonder why Boston was not willing to give up #3 for Okafor? It's becuse he isn't even worth his original draft spot, one year later.

I'm sick of Philly fans grossly overrating their players. What a special group you have, 10-72 special!

15.) 29 Jul 2016 16:39:26
Triangle.

Sorry bro. I see it differently because I actually watched him play. I know what he was dealing with. It wasn't like other cases like mcw and the good player on bad teams thing. Okafor faced double team every game. He had the worst teammates in maybe Nba history. Especially on offense.

If Boston won't give up a first that's fine with me because I'd rather have Oakfor off the bench then a bunch of role players. I think on the wolves Oakfor becomes their second best player. Wiggins hasn't been way the league thought he was. Towns would be first and Oakfor second. Oakfor would out score towns but towns has other areas that he will excel at. The point is you can build an offense around Okafor. You can't build anything around lavine.

16.) 30 Jul 2016 17:52:19
Boston was willing to give number 3, Sixers wanted more. Because colangelo knows that jahlil is worth more than just that pick, he's a proven offensive talent in the league against double teams night and night out. His defense will get better the less he goes against double teams on offense and the more good players he has around him. Defense is all about energy, and a second year in the league on a better team will help him with that.

Boston will NOT trade all that for both Nets pick unless they were going to be getting LBJ, and we all know that's not going to happen to just recieve Cousins. Okafor will eventually get dealt to Boston for a lot less.

2.) 26 Jul 2016 15:57:54
Look. PHX is going for a youth movememnt. rightly or no. that's what they're doing so, no, they're not going to do any deals that get them guys like Rudy Gay. Suns say no to this one.

Future gm how old are you lol? Jw.

2.) 25 Jul 2016 02:53:42
A: The Kings don't receive enough for Cousins

B: The Lakers can't trade their 2018 pick. 2017 is owed to Philly. 2019 is owed to Orlando. They can't trade a 1st until 2021.

3.) 25 Jul 2016 04:38:42
Magic you missed one thing. If Lakers Keep there pick next year then in 2018 Philly gets LA pick unprotected and then Lakers owe Orlando two second round picks.

4.) 25 Jul 2016 04:43:20
Bulls would be insulted if you offered that.

2.) 25 Jul 2016 21:40:26
My bad you just don't have him on the depth chart.

3.) 26 Jul 2016 01:40:16
Boston is not going to rip apart its team and give away its future for Cousins. They'll put a fair trade together, but they're not going to give three players and four draft picks.

4.) 26 Jul 2016 02:18:39
It is a smart idea for PHX to move Knight but not giving up him and Warren for a player in Gay who I don't think has that much trade value and is a waste on that young team. They'd be better off moving just Knight for a draft pick or a younger sf.

OKC - NOP

OKC receives: Jrue Holiday, Dante Cunningham, and
Pelicans 2017 and 2018 first round picks

NOP receives: Russell Westbrook

The Thunder would get decent replacements for Westbrook and KD in Holiday and Cunningham plus another pick for the stacked 2017 draft in this trade. This trade would also help the Thunder tank to get a top 5 pick. Not to mention, with Holiday coming off the books after the 2016-17 season plus a large amount of young talent, OKC would have the cap space to sign two big name free agents.

The Pelicans would get an amazing dynamic duo in Davis and Westo with this trade. I believe that Westbrook would have a MVP caliber season alongside Davis in New Orleans which would cause him to sign with them long term. If Hield develops into a quality shooter and the Pelicans add some better depth, New Orleans could compete for a title by the 17-18 season.

OKC
Holiday-Payne
Oladipo-Roberson
Cunningham-Singler-Morrow
Ilyasova-Sabonis-Collison
Adams-Kanter

NOP
Westbrook-Douglas
Evans-Hield
FA-Babbit
Davis-Ajinca
Asik-FA.
