Ill wait till after the season when I know where that pick is at. And to ensure that pick is better than it would with love on the Suns for the rest of the season, and I have a better chance of a championship with love this season. This is a def offseason trade all the way around for the cavs.

Love is suffering from the lebron effect. Bosh was a top 5 pf in the NBA before he went to the heat, then he became the problem and overrated. lebron leaves and bosh is instantly a top 5 pf again. Love is a top 5 pf before the cavs, now he is the problem and overrated, see the pattern? The stud pf is the ultimate scapegoat for Lebron, he needs the awesome pf with range to open up the lane, the pf's stats dip to adjust his game to help Lebron, then the pf gets the blame when they aren't winning because of his stats. Take Lebron out away from the cavs and loves stats would instantly go back to his career averages.
The star pf always suffers from playing with Lebron, but the star pf sucks it up for a chance to win a championship.

PHX is in full tank mode. so, they won't move what will be a top 5 pick. THis Love thing sounds like it may have been started by a local PHX "journalist'/ sports talk show host who was bleating all last year about Kevin Love being the missing piece in PHX. He's not even the 4th best player on Cleveland.

@ voice, but bosh figured it out rather quickly, and bosh could play defense, so he could move to C with lebron as PF. All you say is true, but there are player who can adjust to some degree, and some who can't.

I agree with realEAST, that Love can't be the franchise player, so I don't like him in PHX.
However, Voice is right too that LeBron makes him less valuable. Love proved in MIN that he should not be your team's #1 scorer, and his defense requires help. On the other hand, he is a fantastic complimentary player on the right team. LeBron also tries to be a complimentary star, and plays some minutes at PF to boot. I think Love would be great on a team with a dominant scorer, where he can get his points off offensive rebounds, three pointers, and throw outlet passes. I'd like to see him with Harden, if Dwight Howard could suddenly be the player he was four years ago. You'll remember how valuable Love was on Team USA, when people weren't running plays for him.

IMO, it will not work for either team. Utah has Gobert to play D while Sixers have Okafor to play offense. Bigs you are swapping here complement their respective teams better.

It works out tremendously for the sixers, not so much for the jazz.
Like USA said, the jazz have a defensive center in Gobert. Quite honestly, a better version of Noel.
What the sixers ultiamtely gain is a top flight, young, PF that actually plays solid offense and defense. They get an actual solid pg prospect in Burke. It just would make total sense for the Sixers. But again, the Jazz have zero interest. They have Favors locked up for 3 years. And at this point, favors is far more complete than Noel. The Jazz have a solid core team. This trade puts them back at least a year or two.

He grossly out performed his 5yr 40 mill second contract, is a good, hardworking guy and key player to Memphis who are looking good with Gasol, Parsons and Conley. He was one of top free agents and choose to stay with his team which results in 5th year and mega money. This however won't be anything close to the 200+ million deals that top free agents will get next summer (when salary cap jumps again)

This is going to piss some people off, but that's how it goes. i'm not dold on Buddy Hield. Great shooter, great Senior season, but he's an undersized 2 who won't be able to defend pro 2's, isn't a distruter, and may not be able to do more than spot up without being ball dominant. Not saying he's terrible or that he won't find a measure of pro success, i'd merely place him behind Murray, Dunn, Bender and Brown. JMO.

I don't disagree as in saying that he won't be able to guard pro 2s but I think he will be more than just a spot up shooter. But I just want to point out that he really isn't undersized. He's 6'4" which is the same exact height that Wade is listed. I'm not saying that he will be great but I think he will be a lot better than some of the last 2s that came out with a lot of hype. (Ben Mclemore, Nik Stauskas, Xavier Henry and others)
I also want to say that I am not sold on these 2 guys coming out of California, Rabb and Brown. They both seem very raw. I know that this is a week draft but I think there are many other players that are better and will have more potential then those two.

Definitely agree on him being better than recent 2's coming in, and on the possibility that the cats from cal are a gamble. My main reason for prefering brown is his age. At 19 there's a lot of room to grow whereas a 22 year old is less likely to gain new skills they haven't really flashed. And Hield can definitely do more than spot he just needs the ball in his hands to do so, and I don't know if he can orchestrate well enough to help a team win in that way. if not he becomes an outlet shooter.
