LA Lakers offseason plans

-Trade Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, 2019 1st rd pick, and 2021 1st rd pick (top 5 protected) for Bradley Beal

-Sign Al Horford 2yr 31m (team option 2nd year)
-Sign Darren Collison 1yr 7m
-Re-Sign JaVale McGee 1yr 4m
-Sign DeMarre Carroll 1yr 3m
-Sign Wilson Chandler 1yr 4m
-Re-Sign Rajon Rondo 1yr room exception
-Re-Sign Mike Muscala 1yr minimum
-Sign Wesley Johnson 1yr minimum
-Sign Alex Caruso 1yr minimum

Pg. Collison, Rondo, Bonga
Sg. Beal, Hart, Caruso
Sf. LeBron, Carroll, Johnson
Pf. Kuzma, Chandler, Muscala
C. Horford, McGee, Wagner.

1.) 16 Feb 2019 17:47:43
You do realize that the Mid-Level exceptuon to the salary cap is over $5 mil? Meaning that vets like Rondo, Chandler, and Carroll will be looking for at least that amount from playoff teams like Philly, Portland, Houston, etc.

2.) 16 Feb 2019 21:22:40
So Horford will opt out of $30 million next year to sign 2 year $31 million one year guarantee. So he will leave Boston to play in LA for half the pay. Solid plan.

3.) 16 Feb 2019 23:43:02
David West did something similar.

4.) 17 Feb 2019 04:59:06
11- david west left a bad team for a contender. Not a contender for a worse team.

5.) 17 Feb 2019 05:28:48
Boston are pretenders. Bucks And raptors are contenders. warriors nuggets thunder are contenders.

6.) 17 Feb 2019 07:37:16
Warriors are champions. Other 29 teams are pretenders.

7.) 17 Feb 2019 13:52:05
Nick's Warrior pimp hand be strong.

8.) 17 Feb 2019 14:03:58
Indy was a challenger :-)

9.) 17 Feb 2019 17:47:59
Actually west was worse because the money he gave up didn't get back within the next year. If horford did that he make a million extra. But what west did it took him a few years to make up.

10.) 18 Feb 2019 01:45:45
Not really. Instead of 1 year $30 million it becomes 2 year $31million. He plays year 2 for $1 million. If he doesn't think he could get a contract from any other team in 2020 then its good move. But the MLE will probably be over $6 million to go to contender. He could get even more if he went to a worse team.

03 Feb 2019 17:37:20
The trade that makes the most sense for both the Lakers and Pelicans:

Lakers get Anthony Davis, Darius Miller, and Tim Frazier

Pelicans get Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Ivica Zubac, 2019 1st rd pick (top 3 protected) and 2021 1st rd pick (top 7 protected)

1.) 03 Feb 2019 18:12:17
Kuzma and Ingram for starters.

KCP will probably veto the move to New Orleans.

2.) 03 Feb 2019 19:16:46
Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, plus 2 1sts 2019, 2021 would be minimum NO would consider.

3.) 03 Feb 2019 21:00:56
If I were pelicans I’d ask for Kuzma also. Lakers are desperate, they are going to give away everything for AD then after one good year watch Lebron get old.

4.) 03 Feb 2019 23:21:39
Actually, I might want to wait the Celtics out. If the Kings pick ends up being #1, the Celtics have a fair chance of only having their and Philly's picks in 2019. The Lakers pick would actually be better.

5.) 04 Feb 2019 01:17:32
These young Lakers suck compared to Cs Players. Ball is a head case w a head case Dd. Kuzma and Ingram vs Tatum and Brown. Plus Pels front office pretty pissed about the tampering. Lakers better reach a lot deeper.

03 Feb 2019 14:34:49

•Hornets get Marc Gasol, Cristiano Felicio, and Ivan Rabb

•Grizzlies get Jabari Parker, Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo, Bobby Portis, the right to swap 2019 1st rd picks (via Hornets), and OKC’s 2019 2nd rd pick (via Hornets)

•Bulls get Chandler Parsons, Jamychal Green, Frank Kaminsky, and Hornets’ 2020 1st rd pick (lottery protected)

02 Feb 2019 19:33:05

Rockets get Jamychal Green, Garrett Temple, and Omri Casspi

Grizzlies get Brandon Knight, Marquese Chriss, and 2019 1st rd pick (lottery protected)

02 Feb 2019 06:44:44

•Hornets get Marc Gasol, Chandler Parsons, Jamychal Green, and Ivan Rabb
Pg. Walker, Parker, Graham
Sg. Lamb, Monk, Bacon
Sf. MKG, Bridges, Parsons
Pf. Williams, Green, Rabb
C. Gasol, Hernangomez

•Grizzlies get Jabari Parker, Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo, Frank Kaminsky, and a 2019 2nd rd pick (via Hornets) and their own 2nd rd pick returned in 2020 (via Bulls)

•Bulls get Nic Batum and Hornets’ 2019 1st rd pick (top 10 protected)

1.) 02 Feb 2019 14:13:20
So Charlotte uses their 1st rounder to unload Batum's contract but then pick up Chandler's contract? doesn't seem smart to me.

Miles Plumlee to anyone interested for a future top 20 protected 1st rd pick

22 Dec 2014 23:07:33
Every playoff contender is in the tuning for Josh Smith if they want him. I think his best fits are: (not in order)
OKC Thunder
Portland Trail Blazers
SA Spurs
Houston Rockets
Phoenix Suns
Dallas Mavs

1.) Running** not tuning

29 Nov 2014 04:23:31
Does anybody think if the Cavs continue to struggle that there's a chance they could explore Irving or Love trades?

1.) Love maybe. Not Irving

21 Jul 2014 16:11:46
Remember when the Celtics-Rockets were talking a Rondo trade?

The celtics said they were interested in Parsons and Asik and maybe Beverley

What did the Rockets do?
They gave Asik and parsons away for nothing

I guess it made too much sense to do something like this:

Celtics get Parsons (3yr 41m), Asik, future 2nd

Rockets get Rondo and Bass

Lol rockets are so dumb

1.) Rockets definitely f'ed up when they turned Parsons loose. Struck out on major free agenst too. Not a good summer.

18 Jul 2014 02:31:42
-Wiggins has superstar potential
-Love is a superstar
-TWolves aren't a playoff team yet
-Cavs need win-now players

Cavs get Love

TWolves get Wiggins, Bennett

Would be a pretty good deal if he could tho.

I’m an OKC fan and really want Terrence Ross, but who would be our backup PF after this deal?
We have a trade exception so I’m sure we could just remove Patterson and replace him with Luwawu and it becomes more attracting fit 2nd.

No one wants Reggie jackson as their point guard. Especially a playoff contender.

Good job for basically copying almost the exact same trade from me.

Okay but what if he’d just rather stay in Indiana for slightly less money?

I think he will take low money since Detroit will still be paying him that 27m left
