No Trade, Cavs can easily be top 5 in The East. They have a good team. Idk why everyone thinks they need to trade him for garbage and rebuild? They can fight for a playoff spot and clear their cap space of all the over paid players they have next year, very easily.

Because if they make the playoffs, they’ll likely get crushed in the first round by Boston/ Toronto/ Phili. They have enough talent to put them in 40-45 win purgatory for the next 3-5 years. That’s not a great place to be in.

Agree with both of you, that pick is more valuable than a playoff run and you almost have to pretend any package you get for Love includes that pick. They should try to maximize Love’s value by being willing to take back bad salary with it. The talk of hesitation to take back bad salary or trade Love is stupid. The only way the Cavs will be able to use that money on a good player is if they have a really good young team in place.
