The best return for Kyrie for Cavs

PHO: K Irving

CLE: E Bledsoe, J Jackson, & '18 1st (top 5 protected)

Kyrie/Booker backcourt offensively would be great

Bledsoe provides a solid replacement for Kyrie and provides defense at the PG position which Kyrie did not give the Cavs. Jackson can also provide really good wing defense and helps the Cavs get younger and more athletic. Bledsoe and Rose actually make the Cavs better in my opinion.

I agree Suns are probably the team most likely to give the Cavs the best offer. Celtics could probably give an even better offer but with Cavs and Celtics being rivals and Ainge known for being shrewd when attempting to trade for stars I think its unlikely the outbid the Suns. Suns could probably make their offer even more appealing to Cavs by bringing in a 3rd team that could turn the Suns young assets into more appealing pieces for the Cavs.

I'm not certain Phoenix needs to give up this much for Irving. If I were Cavs I'd be happy with Bledsoe and Jackson. I certainly don't think they need to give up their 1st which even with Irving will likely be a lotto pick. If Cavs were able to get all that I'd probably flip the pick for something that would help me now.

NYK: K Irving, C Frye (exp)

CLE: C Anthony, F Ntilikina, '18 1st (top 3 protected).

Not a chance cleveland does this. Dan Gilbert couldn't give two craps about Irvings " preferred list" of teams. Irving has zero say as to where cleveland trades him. And they will get a much better offer then this.

Phoenix isn't trading Jackson, but I could see Bledsoe, Warren and Miami's first rounder.

I think they NYK would be insane to trade KP, and I think BOS would be insane tonnit try and get him.

NYK: J Brown, #3, 2018 BKN pick

BOS: K Porzingas

Zinger is really good but that's just to much for him.2 lotential too 3 pics.

2.) 22 Jun 2017 19:16:17
Goatface, that seems like a reasonable asking price. The only big in the game with more upside than Porzingis is possibly Towns.

3.) 22 Jun 2017 19:37:17
Embiid has more upside then both of them, but then again I'm a homer.

I think brown should be replaced with smart or Bradley in this scenario or something else should go to boston.

4.) 22 Jun 2017 19:43:50
It's rumored Knicks are asking exactly for that package PLUS Crowder.

Celtics should counter without including Crowder and get it done. If they can Sign Hayward, that would be a very good team

IT/ Rozier
Bradley/ Smart
Hayward/ Crowder
Horford/ Olynyk/
Zinger/ Zeller.

5.) 22 Jun 2017 23:48:44
Agreed, porzingis is legit a top 5, probably top 3, prospect to build around at this point. He has an incredibly diverse offensive game, great rebounder, and what seems to get not as much attention, he is already considered an elite big man defender.

Boston is looking for a missing pioece. They aren't trying to build for 5 years from now. They would be willing to sacrifice the picks, especially seeing as they have a bevy of others in the future.

For the knicks. i'd say no. i'd prefer just keeping Porzingis, bunch him with hopefully smith, and then wait out the removal of melo ina year or two, and noah can be stretched.

Celtics would have to waive Zeller's non-guaranteed contract as well as renounce rights to all its FA just to be able to sign Hayward to the 30 mill per year max he'll demand. Celtics would have to move close to another 15 mill in order to be able to get Jordan and still sign Hayward.

I think the wisest move would be to try and incorporate Horford and some of their future 1sts in the trade for Jordan (I think they'd benefit from a natural center who can dominate on the boards and lock down interior defensively) and try to retain the #3 pick. Then move #3 and Crowder and Bradley (basically matches salary) to get Butler and then they'd still have close to enough to sign Hayward.

Well that's not entirely true

It took Russell to get rid of Mozgov, but they also got back B Lopez and #27 pick. Let's not pretend BKN didn't give up any assets in that trade.

In this scenario, they give up nothing except cap space. However, they only have $16.5M in cap space and can't take Deng and Randle w/ out sending a player marking at least $5M.

Doesn't LeBron have a no trade clause?

No way Lakers facilitate a trade that sends P George to another team.

I don't think that's good value for Russell, here's my tweak.

And the only way I'd be OK with this trade is if D Smith can be drafted at #10 and the Lakers pick Jackson at #2.

SAC: Russell and Deng

LAL: #10 and Afflalo

McLemore is a RFA this summer and I don't think is worth tying up cap space for him. They need cap space for summer if 2018 to try and sign P George and another max player (D Cousins is my hope) .

2018:
D Smith
P George
B Ingram
L Nance
D Cousins.
