1 - McConnell / Sergio / Pierre
2 - Monk / Stauskas / TLC
3 - Ben / Ariza / Rocco
4 - Saric / Noel / Beasley
5 - Embiid / Holmes / Smith

We trade Jah and our 2017 2nd for Ariza

Assuming we don't get the Lakers pick we just draft Monk, if we get the LA pick we draft Monk and Isaac if we can't get Ball or Fultz. ( Ball and Fultz or options 1 and 2 for us but I'm assuming they are off the board )

We pick up TJ's, Nik's, and Richaun's options while resigning Rocco and hopefully Noel as long as it doesn't handcuff us when it comes time to resign JoJo and Ben.

We sign Pierre Jackson to the league minimum. If the Lakers pick ends up ours instead of re-signing Sergio hopefully we will draft either Ball, Fultz, or Smith in which case they can start next to Monk and TJ will come off the bench.

Sign Jason Smith via Free Agency to give us a veteran to bring off the bench at the 5 who has decent range offensively. If Noel is not re-signed pursue Michael Beasley to split time with Dario at the 4.

Embiid is a lock at the 5 as long as he stays healthy and should be the focal point of our offense. He will also dominate the paint on the defensive end giving us a potential super star to build around.

Saric has come along nicely and looks more comfortable with every game. Having him and Noel alternating at the 4 gives us a phenomenal situational duo to pair with Embiid. If Noel's price tag gets too high a Saric and Beasley combination will do nicely.

Simmons is locked in as our point forward and another star of the future. Our offense should be run through him and other pick ups need to be based on complimenting Ben and Embiid as they are our franchise cornerstones. The Ariza pick up gives us a veteran presence to back him up with great three and D potential.

Malik Monk has a high ceiling as a catch and shoot threat from the perimeter. The idea of Ben Simmons dropping dimes to Monk at the arc should excite Sixers fans Stauskas is still an up and comer who will be another solid shooter coming off the bench for years to come. TLC should sneak minutes wherever he can and in certain situations can slide in at the 3 as well.

If we have a shot to draft Lonzo Ball or Markelle Fultz they need to be the pick. Ball provides another player with phenomenal court vision who can knock down 3's and compliment Ben well. Fultz has arguably the highest offensive ceiling of any point to come out in recent years. An offense featuring him and Monk with Embiid, Simmons, and Saric should be terrifying for the next 5-10 years. TJ needs to stay in Philly even if we get Ball or Fultz to be our backup. He could start next to Monk or come off the bench behind Ball or Fultz. He has the perfect Philly Sports mentality and killer instinct.

This is how I think the Sixers should approach the off season. Let me know what you guys think.

Why would the Rockets do that? Capela is better than Okafor and Okafor doesn't fit Antoni's system.

2.) 18 Feb 2017 17:49:23
yall think embiid is the future but the man can't play more then a month without getting hurt.

Part of the reason I'd like to bring Noel back. Heaven forbid JoJo runs into more injury issues we'd have a young talented back up. We've been extra cautious with him though. I think he can get healthy and be a corner stone. Nobody can predict the future though.

As for the Ariza trade, Houston could use a young talented big with offensive upside to grow with Harden. Plus our 2nd in a deep draft for a player past his prime? I think it's plausible.

Sixers:
- Nerlens Noel
- Robert Covington
- 1st Rd 2017 via LAL ( Top 3 Protected )
- 1st Rd 2019 via SAC ( Unprotected )

Wizards:
- John Wall

Sixers get a top 10 point guard under team control for next 3 seasons to pair with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Warriors acquire a high upside young Center to replace Gortat along with 2 future picks and a role player in Covington. If that package isn't enough, swapping the 19' pick for the Sixers 2017 1st paired with the Lakers pick would be hard to turn down. Wall makes Philly relevant and provides a veteran scorer to groom future all stars in Embiid and Simmons.

Sixers:
PG - Wall / Rodriguez / McConnell
SG - Stauskas / Henderson / Luwawu
SF - Simmons / Thompson
PF - Okafor / Ilyasova / Saric
C - Embiid / Holmes

Philly can afford to add pieces to get this deal done. A core of Wall, Simmons, and Embiid would actually give Philly fans a "Light at the end of the tunnel".

Philly definitely has the assets to get John Wall and the second offer you propose would be difficult to turn down. Wizards would likely have two top 5 picks (76ers/ Kings and their own) and a late lottery pick (Lakers) who they add to a lineup having Beal, Porter and Noel (Porter and Noel are going to command big bucks this offseason but all 3 will be locked up long term) . They also have solid young pieces in Burke and Oubre.

Wizards could get one of top pgs (Ball, Smith, Fultz, Fox, Ntilikina) and a top forward prospect (Giles, Jackson, Tatum) and then another lottery pick to add another promising prospect. That would be a scary young potential starting five (Ball, Beal, Tatum, Porter, Noel) . I guess I'm starting to see why Wizards are considering dealing Wall.

Wall is certainly one of the best point guards in the league and young enough at 26 to lead 76ers back to relevance over the next few years. I don't think he is the type of pg you would choose to put next to Simmons but I think they're both talented enough that they could find a way to make it work. The 76ers would certainly be a fun team to watch and I think gaining a caliber player of Wall and based on what Embiid has shown thus far 76ers could attract some solid role playing FA and be a playoff team next year.

Philly would say yes of course. Wizards need more value. Maybe okafor instead of noel. And add in Covington.

Option 1:
Sixers Trade: Nerlens Noel
Robert Covington
LAL 1st Rd ( Top 3 Protected )

Pelicans Trade: Tyreke Evans
Buddy Heild

Nerlens gets his wish and moves to a starting role next to Anthony Davis in New Orleans. Philly acquires Tyreke Evans and takes on his 1year/ 10million dollar deal as a rental. Gives the Sixers an Athletic Wing who can score. If the fit doesn't work, don't re-sign him. Buddy Hield has struggled early on, but gives the Sixers an additional young scoring guard to work with and potential 2 of the future. At the very worst we thin out our crowd of big men and get a proven scorer along with a project who will worst case scenario provide a perimeter threat of the bench for the next 3 season.

New Orleans gets another outstanding defensive big to pair next to Anthony Davis. Their combined length is terrifying. On top of that the Pelicans get a serviceable perimeter threat coming off the bench in Rocco. Philadelphia includes the Lakers Top 3 Protected first rounder to get pen to paper and finalize this deal.

Option 2:
Sixers Trade: Nerlens Noel
Robert Covington

Pelicans Trade: Tyreke Evans

I think this deal would also work without Buddy Heild and the Lakers pick. I would prefer to see both parties included just in the event that Evans is not retained after the 2016-2017 season. That way the Sixers do not walk away from Noel completely empty handed.

Long Term Outlook:

I would rather see Okafor dealt, as I feel Noel coming off the bench as a defensive minded sub fits our current roster much better than Jahlil backing up Embiid. Unfortunately it appears Nerlens has started burning bridges by voicing his discontent. Either way, I would like to see whatever return we get in a trade include a proven veteran who can score I. e. Tyreke Evans, Khris Middleton, Avery Bradley, CJ Miles. paired with either a 1st round draft pick, or even a young player who is retainable with potential. I wouldn't be opposed to a deal along the lines of Noel for Otto Porter or even Noel and another minor piece for Zach Lavine. Regardless, the goal needs to be a scoring 2 or 3 spot. Ideally our lineup next season will look as such.

2017 Sixers:
1 - Markelle Fultz
2 - Tyreke Evans
3 - Ben Simmons
4 - Dario Saric
5 - Joel Embiid
2017 Bench:
Jahlil Okafor
Ersan Ilyasova
Sergio Rodriguez
Nik Stauskas
Richaun Holmes
Buddy Heild
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot
.

This is just my dream scenario of course, either way it's an exciting time to be a Sixers fan. With Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Dario Saric, and Jahlil Okafor to build around. Plenty of cap space, and a deep draft with players like Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, Josh Jackson, and Harry Giles coming out. With the right moves we can become a force in the East within the next 3-4 years.

You were overvaluing tyreke evans.

2.) 10 Dec 2016 11:46:01
Noel is not going to bring you any of those guys. He's hurt and he's going to be asking for big money. Right now he's worth maybe a mid to late pick in the first round, or perhaps some team's 7th-best or 8th-best player. Sixers might just have to bite the bullet and keep him.

3.) 10 Dec 2016 11:52:29
Absolutely not from sixers. That la pick is going no where for a star player. Buddy heild is struggling and Evan is nothing.

Not ready to give up on Simmons. He is a generational talent. He is someone you build around. Ingram has improved but I still don't see him as a generational talent, and Fultz is a very intriguing scoring guard, but I'm still sticking with the idea of a healthy Simmons.

I'm disgusted by the return for Noel. Coangelo basically got Anderson and 2 2nds. Disgusted. Hinkie 2.0 basically.

Philly says yes in a heart beat. Would love to get 2 1sts for Jah. I really doubt Portland says yes though.

Rose is not a good fit in Philly. Plus he's making $20m this year and is a free agent this offseason. Not a fan.
