Why does everyone think their team is going to land superstars for trash players, and picks 10 years from now? 99% of these trades are complete jokes. How hard is it to realize if you want something Declan you have to give up something decent.

Well, let's look at the returns for 3 of the past 4 superstars to be traded. Cousins was traded for a struggling Hield and a middle of the draft pick that looked like it might be worse than that and expiring contracts.

George was traded for Sabonis who is young but looked awful last year and Olidipo who isn't that young and looked like he would never be more than a solid shooting guard.

Then Butler, who was traded for Dunn, who is terrible, Levine, who just blew out his knee, and a few spots in the draft.

All 3 of those teams still had time to look for a deal (Chicago and Sacramento both were in great positions since Butler had 2 years left and Cousins was willing to resign) . If Cousins or George (or any guy that can walk at the end of the year) are going to walk now, their teams are going to get less because everyone knows they're desperate and trading for these guys is a huge risk since they can walk. Also, there aren't a ton of teams that think they're a piece away. So the risk makes 0 sense for all but maybe 7 or 8 teams and most of those teams don't have any major assets they're willing to trade.

Skills_85. It's good to see some common sense, and fairness on here finally. All these biased trades is tiresome, and ego-centric. Analytics, or as someone quoted "metrics" are not accurate for a lot of things when it comes to a players value. Danny Ainge, and the less knowledgeable Barkley have even publicly commented on the inaccuracies of those numbers, and their not telling the whole story on a given player.

Folks being biased to their home teams trash for another teams stars, and then, being biased for their stars for another teams stars, and wanting the world. Metrics, and analytics don't apply then, of course. I quit commenting, and attempting anything on here, and nearly quit checking this site altogether because of this illogic. Thank you for being a bright light, and pointing out obvious biases, and flawed value comparisons.

Like writing ridiculous lies on here is going to make ridiculous trades actually happen, and convince anyone their flawed logic is logical! Merry Christmas to you Skills_85! Thanks for the honesty, and truth! I didn't see the CP3 Rockets deal coming at all, or the Irving deal in late summer.

You would think those trades would serve as an example of what actually happens, and what we actually know about. Comparing Portlands lillard to kyrie Irving, as an equal, because of analytics is a classic example of delusional value. Can't say that though because that now apparently means lillard is worthless! Good grief! You know?

Phoenix wouldn't trade Chandler for Thompson, much less adding Chris's. No one wants Thompson, which is why he's the only cabs player that's not been traded today.

No way I'm trading the suns pick for McCollum. He's a goo d player, but he's not even an all star, much less franchise player. There's potentially at least 5 guys in this draft considered franchise players. If the pick falls out of the top 7 then maybe I move it. But I'd rather have the rookie contract.

Amazing? Get off 2k and watch a game. Denver has been trying to unload mudiay, because he's been a bum.

Gortrat is averaging close to 10pts 9rbs. He's making less then 8 million. You sit here and put Tristan Thompson out there who worse and making twice as much, and expect a stud in return, yet yur going to act like gortat isn't worth anything lol. Just go away.
