Wow, what a battle in the finals. Crazy shoots and individual moves.
Not easy to beat such a Team . but y have to try.
There are personal issues at Sac at the Players so ask for McLemore in Exchange for a 1st!
Leonard doens`t fit well at Center in the fast, athletic style of Portland. But maybe he can become a younger Dirk? And Powell could fit well in Portland!

Whats amazing is the team next year isn't much improved. The team in 2 years. it will be horrendous. The only non-injury prone starter is dirk, and hell be 47. Great thinking. Sure there will be lovely flow.

How do become contender and get younger? Try.

Give A. Bennett a 2 year try run! Maybe he can find his moyo again. He can improve at D-League. He is still a talent!
Become competitive:
Conley is a very good player, but the game changer for Mavs?
2017 Rose is FA. He could be a great fit at Dallas! In CHI is Butler, both play similar in paint. At Mavs als the wings are shooters (Wes, Dirk, Parsons), good fit for Rose!
So resign DWil and try to land Rose next Season.
Howard will not stay in Houston, the best grid for him is neither Chicago nor Atlanta. But Dallas. He can domainate the paint and fit shooters around how give him space or scoring. Would work!

Face it Mavs are in a bad place. The Rondo and Jordan situation really hurt. No guarantee they get Howard let alone retain Parsons. Mathews doesn't look like his pre-injury self and certainly not worth all that money. Can't imagine Dirk leaving but he's a free agent and there are a lot more appealing destinations out there. Taking a swing at young underachievers like Bennett and McLemore may be their best option.

Mavs will try to get younger not only better, so trade for McLemore!

Ben does not fit well at Kings. But he is young talent, can shoot the three and attack the ring, is an athlet and able to defend. Would fit well at Mavs!
With McLemore and Anderson, Mavs could use Parsons at PF to go small and play fast.
Sign FA Howard if he opts out and Mavs would had upgraded well!
To Lure for Conley and or Durant would be great but it is too much of a risk.
Mavs have to keep DWil.
Sign C. Lee or Mayo but better trade for McLemore.
Resign the Team that have the good chemistrie.
Have four PG to backup DWil and keep him health and give him rest.
The same with Mejri and McGee to keep Howard health.
