Boston should throw every pick to Pelicans for AD now he is injured a player like that may lure likes of Durant other than that just stay the course and pray something comes good in the draft Pelicans won't make play offs for 5 years better get something now for AD.

Travchar

1.) 21 Mar 2016 12:49:27
They wouldn't trade Davis for any number of draft picks. It just wouldn't happen.

2.) 21 Mar 2016 14:57:11
The only reason Anthony Davis is "injured" is so that they can tank and try to get a higher chance of a top pick to help him there in New Orleans.

3.) 21 Mar 2016 16:05:55
Anthony Davis isn't available. Just not a tradeable guy.

Boston trade lee and smart
Phil trade 2016 first rounds pick.

Travchar

1.) 24 Jan 2016 11:47:51
As a Boston fan I'd be ecstatic if D. A. Could pull this off. Just no way I see Philly giving up at worst the 4th pick in the Draft.

2.) 24 Jan 2016 13:40:23
Again, a ridiculous trade. Jokes I hope.

3.) 24 Jan 2016 18:35:18
Which first round pick? The Sixers first rounder? because that's a waste of time.

The kings head office should be fired they have a top 10 player in the nba or the world who has needed guidance instead they surround him with other head cases rondo ,Barnes, Lawson ,trade boogie sack the staff start again

Travchar

1.) 04 Feb 2017 19:39:14
Yes Kings front office is a complete mess. I agree 100% to completely resetting. Heck maybe they should even move cities.

2.) 05 Feb 2017 03:56:49
What is more stupid the kings are going to pay him 200m plus next contract when the franchise is only worth 950m its crazy.

3.) 05 Feb 2017 07:43:51
Come on. Really they all make way too much money.

4.) 05 Feb 2017 10:37:56
Yeah but lebron added 20% increase voverall value to the cav's so despite his big salary and finacial lost of 40m last season he is good value.

5.) 05 Feb 2017 22:21:04
I don't think basketball players make too much money. They get half of the money that they generate and owners get the other half. I think that is completely fair that is just capitalism. What is a shame is that society places a higher value on them and entertainers in general than some seemingly more important professions where people put their lives on the line everyday.

People need to just put their money where their mouth is but I think the heart of it is that people enjoy sports and like to be entertained cause it brings them happiness and a sense of belonging.

As heroic as soldiers, firefighters, policemen and other professions are most take them for granted since the connections between them and the benefit they create isn't as tangible and intimate.

6.) 06 Feb 2017 03:05:34
Witch is sad. People don't care "entertainers" make ridiculous money but the people that buy their lives on the line have to fight to make a living.

7.) 06 Feb 2017 12:53:27
Really Travchar? Then why since he came have the cavs been running at a net loss? Value of a team doesn't account for yearly profits. It's based on assets abd other things you clearly don't look at.

The kings can pay for that because of the make up of the cba.

8.) 06 Feb 2017 22:58:19
Yes, Athletes make a lot of money, but they also make the company even more money. It's not like you see many professional basketball teams closing up shop.

I like wiggans as a player wow does he look tired too many minutes playing in tough postion wolves not going anywhere this year so maybe cut his time on court back fresh end him up.

Travchar

1.) 26 Dec 2016 22:36:55
That's just how AW looks, kinda like McGrady always looked tired. Technically if anyone on the wolves has a right to complain about minutes it's Lavine. He leads the team in minutes and regularly plays 42-44 in close games. He's the one left out with the 2ND team.

16 Dec 2016 12:40:21
For my Boston team forget this year yes we can make some noise in finals but that's all . Go after Hayward (free agent) then find a centre but make a decision on IT and Kelly O are they our future?

Travchar

1.) 16 Dec 2016 14:42:40
Thinking here is that given that Thomas wants to be paid, they will move him out at some point -- maybe even the trading deadline. Also thinking that when the season opens next year, Horford will be the only big still on the roster. What's happening now with Olynyk, Johnson and Zeller can't continue. If the Celtics were keeping their ammo waiting for a big score, those guys would already be out the door. And I agree on Hayward, who will squeeze out Crowder.

2.) 16 Dec 2016 17:55:12
***weren't keeping their ammo.

3.) 17 Dec 2016 01:20:02
Boston is finding themselves in a difficult position as they've been trying to land a superstar for so long and it just hasn't happened. They have solid players outside of that but even those guys aren't going to be there for ever (IT and Bradley's cheap contracts expire after next season so expect them wanting huge pay raises) . I don't think Boston can win a championship with the current squad this year or next year. I think Hayward would make things interesting but that would only give them really a season to make things happen (don't think they'll be able to resign both IT and Bradley) . I think if they want to compete they need to make a move this season and should concurrently be shopping guys since Bradley and Thomas' trade value drop big time next season. They have the two Brooklyn picks to build around if they did want to hit reset again and hopefully one of those picks nets them the superstar that they have been unable to acquire for so long.

4.) 17 Dec 2016 15:44:30
Jaw457 -- I agree with just about everything you said. With Ainge is seems like a giant balloon that keeps getting stretched bigger and bigger, waiting for a big trade to pop it. Talk up here in Boston is that if Kings won't move on from Cousins, then the Celts will try to get John Wall, with Thomas going to the Wizards. Horford might be the only safe player on the entire team. But you're right -- having great role players is terrific, but in the end they are just role players.

11 Dec 2016 07:38:59
Who are Celtics going to take in the next draft saying the Brooklyn pick is top 3 it looks like 6 out of the top10 are going to be guards do they take the best player regardless of postion or look for a center that they need.

Travchar

1.) 11 Dec 2016 15:27:40
Everything now is a guess. Here's mine:
1. Thomas is traded
2. Celtics draft the best PG on the board, hopefully at 1 or 2.
3. Olynyk, Zeller and Johnson are all shipped out and the front line is rebuilt around Horford, Zizic and two new warm bodies.
4. Crowder goes in a trade for a big, and Brown gets his minutes next year.
5. Lots depends on whether Cousins is made available, and the Celtics trade for him. If they do, that Brooklyn swap has to be part of the deal and Thomas stays.
-
Lots of contingencies here, but we're nearing the 1/ 3 mark of the season, the trading deadline is nearing and the Celts are not even as good as they were last season. Something has to give, either at the trade deadline or at the draft.

2.) 11 Dec 2016 18:38:04
For this reason I personally think Celtics are better off packaging the pick (s) in a deal for a superstar ( I guess this is what they've been trying to do but I'd do so more aggressively and willing to deal both picks, Brown and Smart/ Rozier for one) . Given Celtics roster (Thomas, Bradley and Crowder on comically low contracts, Horford signed long term) I think their best bet is to go into win now mode instead of trying to deal off these guys and rebuild again. Either way I think Celtics need to make up their mind soon to go either direction since the path they are currently on where they are half and half will hurt them in the present and in the future.

3.) 19 Dec 2016 20:02:30
Tell you right now Thomas won't be traded from the celtics. Neither wil Crowder, Bradley, or Horford. Ever . Period.

Out of nets, wizards, kings,76ers, wolves, mavs, pelicans, suns, nuggets, heat Who will make the play offs in the next 3 years.

Travchar

1.) 08 Dec 2016 13:03:02
I like Sixers because of Simmons and Embiid, and Twolves because of Wiggins and Towns.

2.) 08 Dec 2016 17:21:00
I think Twolves without a doubt will. The 76ers probably have the best young assets (and will likely add some next draft) so assuming nothing unforeseen happens (players stay healthy) and they build a more balanced roster I think they will.

I have the Nuggets and Suns in the next tier as teams with a bunch of young pieces none quite with the potential star power of the 76ers but also some solid veterans. Nuggets with Galo, Chandler Mudiay, Harris, Jokic, Nurkic, Murray, Faried and Barton all as attractive pieces I believe need to try and make some major moves but even without making major moves I think those younger guys could develop into a solid team that could potentially make playoffs. Suns are in a similar situation with Knight, Bledsoe, Booker, Warren, Bender, Chriss, Len but I think their issue is more about staying healthy and developing.

The remaining teams I don't like their chances of making the playoffs in next 3 years but in order of likeliness I have Wizards, Pelicans, Heat, Kings, Mavs and Nets. I don't think any of these teams have the pieces in place or the assets to acquire players that'll turn them into a playoff team in 3 years (without doing something stupid like trading Davis) and will be heavily reliant on the draft to add talent which most likely will take a few years to develop. Cousins can walk in two years and Wall in 3 so if those guys leave (either in FA or even via trade) it'll likely set those teams back significantly.

Got to find gold in the next 3 draft's if they cash in now still not going to beat Cav, s in best of 7 little own warrior's Celtic's time isn't far away but not now, Free agency will be important to the C, s Hayward being the main target.
