Draft night trade:

Chi: #22 pick

Den: #14 pick and Faried

#7: Bamba, MPJ, or Young

#14: Robert Williams

As soon as next year comes around, The Bulls have ~28M in cap space. They can use this for a max deal or for salary dump if the team is still weak.

I actually like this. We would definitely need to offload another big contract (Either Felicio or Asik)

If and only if Chicago drafts JJJ or Bamba with their sixth pick (which is likely considering the depth of nba wings) and not MPJ:

Chicago: Bobby Portis

Boston: Jaylen Brown

Who says no?

As a life long bulls fan I'm all in for that tradw but Boston would laugh at us.

2.) 01 May 2018 03:00:45
Boston.

3.) 01 May 2018 03:09:51
Every celtic fan.

4.) 01 May 2018 03:13:09
The celtics say no. Brown's ceiling is a lot higher than Portis's.

5.) 01 May 2018 04:05:18
Boston. Easily.

6.) 01 May 2018 05:00:36
boston says no fym.

7.) 01 May 2018 05:07:12
Boston says no. They say no loudly, then probably get offended. Portis has less than half the value of brown. And that’s being generous to portis.

8.) 01 May 2018 12:02:12
Outside of maybe Markkanen, there's no single player on the Bulls roster than could get you Jaylen Brown.

9.) 01 May 2018 13:16:03
The Celtics :-)

Chicago Bulls Offseason:

Draft Either Bamba or MPJ with our 6th pick (would rather take a chance on high ceiling player and have a bust than pick an nba ready talent and be mediocre for years *cough* McDermott/Tyrus Thomas *cough*)

Draft Khyri Thomas or Mitchell Robinson with our 22nd pick

Resign Lavine

Add a vet for presence and/or need:

Richard Jefferson or Joe Johnson

Assuming our pick(#6) turns out well, go for a big name in the 2019 free agency (Melo, PG13, Dwight Howard, Deandre Jordan, Kemba) while also filling out the bench. Then, trade our pick and Bobby Portis for a solid starter.

Assuming our pick does not turn out well, trade up in the 2019 nba draft for RJ Barrett (Only untouchable is Lauri tbh).

For the 2019/20 season rinse repeat.

Here's to hoping MPJ/Bamba turns into Durant/Gobert respectively

all working toward the ultimate goal of AD choosing to come home.

2.) 19 Apr 2018 13:57:30
I think you need to trim that free agent list significantly. pretty much down to two. PG13 isn't going to go to Chicago, even though the pitch must be made, so I'd take him off as unrealistic. Melo and Howard shouldn't be guys you want on that team. They'd be more negative than positive additions. Kemba and Jordan, however might be convinced to come in. I think Dunn can be a good player, but I don't think he'll ever be a star, so Kemba is a great fit. If they pick Bamba, I don't know how much money I'd throw at Jordan, but he could be a really good mentor. If they draft Porter the positional fit is a non issue.

Overall, it's a really solid plan.

Alright this is wild theory crafting, but let me get your opinion on this. Melo's trade value has diminished greatly because it is no secret that he is being shopped. Therefore, this may be the best output the knicks will get.

Bulls Trade: Jimmy Butler, Denzel Valentine, and the Kings 2017 first round pick
Bulls Receive: Carmelo Anthony and the Nets 2017 first round pick

Celtics Trade: Avery Bradley, Jaylen Brown, and the Nets 2017 first round pick
Celtics Receive: Jimmy Butler and the Kings 2017 first round pick

Knicks Trade: Carmelo Anthony
Knicks Receive: Jaylen Brown, Denzel Valentine, and Avery Bradley

The Bulls do it for the chance at one of the point guards in the draft (Markelle Fukltz PLEASE) while also not dragging around Butler for a low seeded playoff appearance. Plus, Melo would fit into Hoiberg's offense nicely.

The celtics do it because Jimmy Butler is a HUGE upgrade to Avery Bradley on the wing while also being a superstar version of Brown. Butler also fits the celtics style of guard-centric play very well. They also get a Kings pick in return for Brown because he is valued a lot in Boston.

The Knicks do it because they can build around Bradly, Brown, Porzingis, and Hernangomez while also letting Melo go to a big market city. Again, this might be the best return for the Knicks altogether.

I've been playing too much 2k. Swap the kings pick with the Bulls pick. Did not notice we did not have it.

2.) 18 Apr 2017 12:43:13
It's decent, but the C's may have an issue with giving up both Brown and the Nets pick in the same deal that doesn't bring them back two players.

3.) 18 Apr 2017 18:27:41
Take Brown out and give them a second rd.

4.) 19 Apr 2017 02:05:24
Billj, I don't think you would even need the 2nd. Bradley for Anthony would be best case scenario for the Knicks. More and more it's looking like the Knicks will get an expiring contract and a pick out of him. Even if someone offered more than one pick Melo could dictate the terms of the trade and a pick would be better than just waiting out his contract. I'm sure he wouldn't mind sticking to Jackson and helping his future team.

Bulls are not themselves, they are now only a decent defensive team.

Celtics get: Mirotic

Bulls get: Bradley

Move Butler to the small forward and have Bradley start at shooting guard and help give Rose some rest minutes.

Celtic don't want him. Rather have Bradley.

The Butler and Rose situation is getting heated and Butler wants out. Bulls will more than likely match any offer though. Would like to see some sign and trade ideas for him though.

@donadamsky I think his reasoning is that the bulls can sign Butler since there's rumors that Kyrie and Butler want to team up. Thus, the draft pick would not matter. Still a very bad trade.

No way they trade Winslow. The Heat admitted they are now in rebuild mode.
