76ers get: TT, JR Smith, Zizic and Nets Pick

Cavs get: Redick, Bayless

Cavs get the shooting they need in Redick and is able to dump JRS and TT.
Philly can use TT because they don't have a back up C.

What do you think guys?

1.) 05 Feb 2018 23:32:42
So Cleveland is going to trade a top 10 pick for half a season of a role player?

2.) 05 Feb 2018 23:40:19
That's awful for the Cavs. Why would they dump Thompson, when they already need another center and with love out would have to start Frye? Also, why try to dump salary for this summer? If Lebron and IT walk, the Cavs will be under the cap, but have limited assets to rebuild with. Even if they would swing a sign and trade for one of them, they could take on a significant amount of money before hitting the luxury tax. This trade doesn't help the Cavs currently or in the future.

3.) 06 Feb 2018 00:42:17
I wouldn't trade the nets pick for those guys.

4.) 06 Feb 2018 01:36:18
Hell no.

5.) 06 Feb 2018 01:41:27
This is why CLE probably doesn't trade the picks unless Love is involved. Most of their players are overpaid, and it will cost the picks just to unload them. I wouldn't want Shumpert, or Thompson. Zizic, Osman are ok value-wise. Frye, and Rose are great for a salary dump, but their contracts are small.

If Pelicans decide to rebuild:

76ers get: A. Davis, Noah, Lance Thomas
Send: TLC, McConnell, Saric, Korkmaz, Redick, Johnson, Booker, 2018 1st rounder, Lakers/Kings pick, 2020 1st rounder, 3 second rounders 2018 and 2019, 2019 swap rights

Knicks get: Cousins, Redick, McConnell, 1 second rounder in 2018 and 2019
Send: Noah, Thomas, Hernangomez, Ntilikina, Lee, 2018 1st rounder

Pelicans get: Booker, Johnson, Lee, Ntilikina, Saric, Korkmaz, Hernangomez, TLC, Knicks and 76ers 2018 1st rounder, Lakers/Kings pick, 2019 swap rights with 76ers, 76ers 2020 1st rounder, 2 2nd rounders in 2018 and 2019 from 76ers
Send: Davis and Cousins

Knicks do it because they unload Noah. Redick comes from the area and would likely resign. Pairing Cousins with Porzingis would be awesome and McConnell is a great back-up and extremely cheap

Pelicans just do it if they think they can't compete for a championship soon. With this offer they get their future pg and some really good and young role players in TLC, Hernangomez and Saric. They also have 4 1st rounders this year in the range 10-20 (don't think Lakers end up in the top 5). They can use Lee, Johnson and Booker to get more picks

The Sixes don't own the the 2018 Lakers pick. The Celtics do. The Sixer's only get it back if it's not 2 thru 5. If they do get it back, the Celtics get the 2019 Kings pick.

2.) 31 Jan 2018 17:56:25
@Yumbo: I took that into account. I wrote Lakers/ Kings pick and "They also have 4 1st rounders this year in the range 10-20 (don't think Lakers end up in the top 5)" --> meant with that, that the Pelicans most likely have 4 first rounders this year because the Lakers pick doesn't seem to fall in the range 2-5. But you're right if it does they just have 3 this year but also 2 next year.

3.) 31 Jan 2018 19:09:52
knicks would obviously say no. its essentially an expiring for an injured center. They give up solid pieces and this years first and next years first. makes no sense.

reddick is not someone they want, he doesn't not coincide with their timeline. They basically do this to get noah off the books, why not just trade noah with a 1st and sign cousins outright? or noah with nikitilina, and still hold on to the bevy of assets they would be giving out?

4.) 31 Jan 2018 19:20:05
Plus, why would NY want Coudins? He's out for the year and a FA after the season.

5.) 31 Jan 2018 23:21:25
@Hamburger: you say trade noah with Ntilikina to get him of the books. For me that's exactly the value they have to give up. If not even more. The other things the knicks give, are Hernangomez who didn't play much. So you might get a 2nd rounder. Then you also give your 1st rounder and lee. Therefore you get McConnell who has some value (late first rounder) and Redick + 2nd rounders and Cousins. I think pairing Porzingis with Cousins would be great. And if you have him around you can easier convince him to sign a longterm deal. Also Porzingis wants to win now. With cousins, THJ, Redick you would be way better than now. If nobody signs you are one of only a few teams with cap space. I would do it.

6.) 01 Feb 2018 21:18:05
Man just stop. The only thing worse than an AD trade is a lengthy one with all these excuses to justify NOLA trading AD. Lame.

76ers/Suns:
Bayless, Booker, top 12 protected 2018 1st rounder ( if it doesn't convey the 2 best 2nd rounders) for Bender and Monroe

ps3077

1.) 30 Jan 2018 14:47:01
Yeah Phoenix gives up bender along with cap space for 2 second round pics, and 2 scrubs. Man why aren't you a gm.

Pelicans rebuild:

A. Davis to Celtics for Brown, Tatum, Rozier, Morris, Yabusele and Lakers/Kings, Memphis picks

Celtics get big 4 with Horford, Hayward, Irving and Davis that's Why they overpay

Cousins for Kanter and Ntilikina and 2019 1st rounder

Pelicans have 3 players in Brown, Tatum and Ntilikina to build around

ps3077

1.) 28 Jan 2018 16:36:26
I like this trade for NY
Cousins should go to the East.

2.) 28 Jan 2018 16:53:27
I really can't see the Pelicans getting much for Cousins unless they use him as an expiring contract. There is a fairly good chance he never plays a second for whatever team he would be traded to and he wouldn't even really have a connection to his teammates since he probably won't be able to even get shots up or anything until after the season.

3.) 28 Jan 2018 16:54:17
Wtf are talking about? I would no do Kanter for Cousins. Who knows how someone will be after Achilles tear. terrible idea. Cousins bigger version Melo. All stats never has this guy won leading team in mba.

Philly-Suns

Suns get Bayless, Booker, Holmes, Lakers/Kings Pick (Pick which doesn't convey to the celtics)

76ers get Bender, Monroe

Philly gets rid of Bayless and gets the perfect back-up for Embiid in Bender

Suns get an additionally pick for the rebuild

ps3077

1.) 27 Jan 2018 16:12:13
Getting rid of Bayless and getting bender isn't worth a lottery pick. Bender still has potential, but he hasn't even been as good as Holmes to this point.

@tombrady: I totally agree. On the other side I don't think the 76ers want Wiggins as well. Next year he's overpaid. He also doesn't fit next to Simmons.

No from the Suns. Why should they do that?

NY has to give up the two picks alone for Harris. So what will Clippers get in return for taking Noah?

Philly won't do that. The picks would be in 2020 and 2023 (if 2020 pick is unprotected in 2021). That's Not much value. Additionally they don't need Nance. Also Clarkson hasn't much value because of his contract and the because Fultz and McConnell can fill the role Clarkson would have. Philly can get better value in this offseason.

If Klay goes for this value to the Warriors Philly can deal for him without Portland. The value for McCollum is too much and Philly doesn't need Nurkic.
