Thunder 2017 Free Agency:
Thunder sign-and-trade PG Russell Westbrook to the Celtics for SF/ SG Jaylen Brown, filler, and the Net's 2017 first round pick.
Please give suggestions and feedback! Also mention who the filler should be in this sign-and-trade.

Rapsfan: That isn't how sign and trades work, he would be signing with Celtic's either way, it would be lose him for nothing or take what you can get. He's not going to sign a contract and then let OKC pick where he goes. I agree with Gasupo, can't see anybody giving up much more than a draft pick/ or player for cap relief in a sign and trade. If they don't think they're going to sign him, best move him by the deadline.

Top 14 protected 2017 first round pick
- Kings finally get rid of disgruntled Rudy Gay and Ilyasova is a good trade asset. Only thing is Morrow and Ilyasova are defensive liabilities.
Kings trade:
SF/ PF Rudy Gay
- Rudy Gay somewhat helps fill the hole Durant left at the SF position.

i don't think Gay is a bad get for Thunder as hell give them some scoring. He however isn't an efficient player and although talented every team he's left has gotten better afterwards. Roberson can play the 3 but he gives them virtually no offense. Ilyasova gives them much needed shooting ( so does morrow and gay isn't consistent shooter) and they don't have a clear replacement for him unless they start Kanter who I think is more valuable in 6th man role where he can come off bench and be a focal point offensively. He does have some range so maybe it could work with Gay.

I like the trade for both teams. Take out the first rounder going the bucks way. Greg monroes contract kills his value. Maybe replace it with Ben Macklemore. He doesn't play much anyway.

Let's face it. Kings are going no where with meclamor. They need a star in free agency to even compete. Monroe might be a nice pairing with cousins. Enough so to draw after agent.

It would be awful pairing, on off and especially on D.
How do you plan on getting a star with Monroe's contract at 17 mil - for a 6th man (MIL benched him, and you still think he holds value. C'mon) . Disastrous.
And to repeat, SAC would have FOUR C's, with combined salary of 50 mil. Absurd.
Considering McLemore, I'd rather stick to him, than give him away in any case. If Kings get decent coach, he might still become something.
I might have undervalued Parker a bit, I'd add McLemore to WCS and pick in order to get him. But nothing more, and expect nothing less. As much Parker would fit in SAC, MIL need Cauley Stein's type of player.

All those trades would require Durant signig long term. Which won't happen. So the value for Durant has to drop considerably. Noel and Embiid would be an awesome addition to Westbrook. And they're super young too.

Only trade that comes close to working is the Washington trade, and it's not necessarily that OKC gets fair value, it's just the only team that Durant agrees to sign with long term.

@Rapsfan, um no. Butler is now an SF since wade came to town starting at SG. Butler has played a lot of minutes at SF before.
