Don't think this is a smart trade for 76ers but with Lakers and Philly being volatile maybe its worth the risk (depending on how things go both of them could be playoff teams next year or 1 and 2 in lottery) . Lakers would have to get George and go into win-now mode which isn't completely inconceivable and 76ers would just have to stay healthy and continue to grow with core of Embiid, Fultz and Simmons.

It might take knight, the number three, and booker to get the number one overall pick. Sixers tanked hard to get that guy. Plus there's a huge drop off of talent from the first two picks to the third pick. Sixers would have to pass.

I was considering throwing in Bogdan, definately not Booker, but I don't think Simmons is a fit with what the sixers got right now so I think they would gladly slide to #3, draft a wing like Jaylen Brown and get a solid young starting point guard plus another piece or two. Sixers fan would love it because they can compete this year as long as Embiid and Saric are playing.

Simmons is a fit with everyone. ESPECIALLY the sixers. How could you possibly say he isn't a fit with the sixers? They will be using a starting 5 next year likely with less than 4 years total experience between all of them. A pure talent, team player, stud like Simmons is EXACTLY what they need. A true franchise center piece to build around. You are crazy if you say differently. You are just claiming this to make the trade sound reasonable. which it doesnt.

In this league the number one pick is extremely hard to get. Teams like the Sixers tank for three year and have gotten it once yet. The number one pick in any draft will cost you a ton. Booker. The number three pick and knight might be just enough to make it worth it.
However. After further evaluation. Sixers pass. Knight is not a superstar. Neither is BLEDSEO. So Sixers say hell no to buddy held or jaylen brown over Ben Simmons. And the only extra we get is a mediocre sg. And a three point shooter.
