SAS / LAL

SAS: Brandon Ingram, Jordan Clarkson, Ivica Zubac, future 1st

LAL: Kawhi Leonard

- Lakers then trade Julius Randle, Luol Deng, future 1st to Brooklyn and if LA manages to sign George/James this summer.

Ball

George
James

Why would San Antonio do this? They are real close to Warriors status. If they somehow get Irving then Leonard being Leader and Kyrie being the wing man again. Sorry Kyrie truth in San An. They will be right there to challenge the Warriors in the West.

2.) 25 Jul 2017 13:44:16
Lavar, is that you

3.) 25 Jul 2017 16:03:02
That isn't even close to what Kawhi is worth and there's no way the Spurs trade him.

4.) 25 Jul 2017 18:50:22
That's terrible value for Leonard. Even if Lakers offered Ball and Ingram San Antonio would still say no.

5.) 26 Jul 2017 15:58:38
only if Leonards demands a trade :-)

NYK / LAL

Carmelo sounds like he wouldn't mind moving to LA this summer.

NYK - Tyler Ennis, Loul Deng, Julius Randle and 2017 first round pick via HOU (Lou Williams trade), 2018 2nd pick via CHI (Jose Calderon trade)

LAL - Carmelo Anthony

Carmelo may not mind moving to LA but I don't think the Lakers would want him. He doesn't fit their rebuilding youth movement and would hurt the development of the youngsters by taking touches and shots from them (nor does offense project to be their issue) . I think Lakers will keep an eye on younger stars like Westbrook and George who have both expressed interest in coming to LA and will be FA in 2018. If this interest is serious I could see the Lakers shipping off a bunch of their young assets in order to build a star-studded Laker lineup like back in the day.

2.) 21 Mar 2017 12:10:46
Agreed. If he goes la, it's the clippers. Doubt he does. But would likely be a sign and trade for griffin. No clue why the clippers would do this though.

3.) 21 Mar 2017 12:18:50
The lakers are not giving up much value here (Randle being the only real piece), so the value's reasonable. That said, the Lakers don't make this deal and hold onto assets to trade for a younger star.

Knicks make a Melo trade to start the rebuild. Deng's contract does not help that, so Knicks are probably not interested either.

CHA / WAS / LAL

CHA: Trey Burke, Loul Deng, 2017 1st round pick from LA (via WAS Lou Williams trade)

WAS: Lou Williams

LAL: Nic Batum, T. Satoranksy

I like the Lou Williams to Washington idea but trade doesn't work for me. Lakers pick is already due to sixers if it isn't top 3 so I'm confused what "2017 1st rounder from LA" is (Lakers would be foolish to give up which is right now about a 50% chance at a top 3 pick for this return) . If its the Wizards pick its too good to be true for the Lakers and awful for the Hornets.

I don't think Batum is a great fit with Lakers and Charlotte values him highly and doubt they'd want to take on Deng's contract. I don't think Williams' value alone is enough to convince a team to take on Deng's contract let alone bring back an asset like Batum back too so Lakers would have to add more but a potential top 3 pick in this draft is too rich for me.

2.) 16 Feb 2017 09:38:43
The pick is coming from the Wizards in exchange for Lou Williams, not LA's potential pick, and would be sent to the Hornets.

Batum and Deng are both overpaid but Deng's contract is 1 year less and saves them 28 million (2 million a year) .

Something similar — Lou Williams, Loul Deng and 2 second round picks for Batum.

3.) 16 Feb 2017 14:35:23
If its Wizards pick, first I'm not sure Wizards would be willing to give that up in addition to two young guards who have played solidly for Williams who I think at best is worth just a late first. Even if they did I don't think that offer makes the Hornets budge on Batum. He and Deng may both be overpaid but Batum is actually good and younger than Deng so he is significantly more valuable. I don't think its worth giving up that for 1 year of cap relief (especially with it 3 years in the future) for what they are getting. Even if Deng was taken out of the deal completely (I know salary wouldn't work) but from a value perspective don't think Hornets would even do it. Wizards have been one of the hottest teams lately and their pick doesn't project to be all that good.

4.) 16 Feb 2017 15:10:18
maybe CHA would rather give up Kidd Gilchrist for deng.

5.) 16 Feb 2017 16:07:34
You're under valuing batum. His contract is fine.

6.) 16 Feb 2017 16:10:28
batum - 15/ 7/ 6 PER almost 16
Deng - 7/ 5/ 1 PER almost 10

remind me, hiow are they about the same and you aree claiming deng is better because a yeaer less? deng is also 4 years older. aka going to be even worse.

CHI / MIN / LAL

CHI: Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle

MIN: Jimmy Butler

LAL: Zach LaVine, Nikola Pekovic (waive/ retire)

1.) 05 Jan 2017 14:20:13
Why would Lakers do this?

2.) 05 Jan 2017 15:06:58
I can't imagine Bulls doing this. They could get a much better offer from the Celtics. They may be able to even muster a better offer from just the Twolves (LaVine and Dunn or Rubio possibly a pick involved too)

3.) 05 Jan 2017 16:06:28
Lakers pass.

4.) 05 Jan 2017 17:28:31
Bulls are the only team that pass.

TOR / LAL / MIL

TOR / John Henson

LAL / Michael Beasley, Pat Patterson (waive), Jared Sullinger (waive)

MIL / Luol Deng, 2nd round pick from LA.

Bucks say hell no.

2.) 17 Nov 2016 17:01:21
Bucks aren't the issue, Lakers say no . Bucks don't like Henson.

3.) 17 Nov 2016 17:10:43
Yes that's why the Bucks are paying him 12 million and give him a starting spot because they hate him.

4.) 18 Nov 2016 15:49:46
John Henson has played in 10 games this season, starting 3 of them and averaging 16.4 minutes per game. They aren't starting him and based on that I would say that he doesn't have Kidd's trust or something. The reason he got that deal was cause he had shown promise in a contract year and hasn't shown much since.

5.) 18 Nov 2016 16:05:48
Nobody is taking the Lakers off the hook for Deng's terrible contract.

MCW would be a nice defensive back up guard to Russell.

Nick young is still a shooter don't deny. People are just trying to use past outside issues to cloud the fact that he can still shoot the 3 ball.
