Rockets offseason

Resign:
Faried, Rivers and Shumpert 2 year 5 million with player option for 2nd year
Sign W. Chandler and Jerebko vet. min.
Sign and trade: Jamychal Green for Nene and 2x future 2nd rounder

Cp3/ Rivers
Harden/ Gordon
Tucker/ Shumpert/ Clark
Green/ Chandler/ Jerebko
Capela/ Faried/ Hartenstein.

1.) 19 Feb 2019 15:17:33
Faried could get an offer between 30 and 36M for three years.
Unless he really wants to play for a contend, he's going to decline that offer.

2.) 19 Feb 2019 16:22:51
Gasupo Faried was just waived at that amount. He will be lucky to see 5. Faried was waived at 13.7. He's a 1 dimensional player with little upside if any.

3.) 19 Feb 2019 16:46:52
I think he's probably somewhere in the middle. He probably gets a MLE type contract this offseason (Between 5.6 and 8.6 depending on tax or non-tax MLE) . He's a great 6th man or 5th starter. Sure he's one dimensional, but he's really good at that one dimension, and that's generally what makes a great bench player.

4.) 19 Feb 2019 17:07:11
Is that a response to me or the post Bmiller66.

5.) 19 Feb 2019 20:51:56
I am trying to figure out why the Clippers would want to take back Nene in any deal.

Also, why would Jerebko leave Golden State for a vet min deal? We all know that Golden State would at least offer him a vet min deal.

6.) 19 Feb 2019 20:55:53
Just musing about Faried. Mostly a response to the responses.

7.) 19 Feb 2019 21:58:00
Faried is playing great since he joined the rockets

16.7 points 10.9 rebounds 636% field goals 31,2 minutes

He could get a good playoff run, so a contract between 30 and 36M isn't unrealistic. Just my opinion.

8.) 19 Feb 2019 22:28:44
I'm a guy, I take your musing's as jabs for no apparent reason other than you have a problem?

Jazz/ Pelicans

Jazz get Davis and Holiday

Pelicans get Favors, Rubio, Sefolosha, Neto, Allen and 5 1st rounders ( last two with some light protections)

Jazz scary looking team

Holiday/ Exum
Mitchell/ Korver
Ingles/ O'Neale
Davis/ Crowder
Gobert/ Udoh.

1.) 18 Jan 2019 18:28:24
Really? Do you really believe that could ever happen?

2.) 18 Jan 2019 18:34:29
Haha haha.

3.) 18 Jan 2019 18:34:40
Jazz lose this.

4.) 18 Jan 2019 18:34:45
Davis is leaving.

5.) 18 Jan 2019 20:16:50
The Jazz lose this?!? They would be one of the top 3 teams in the NBA for the next two years. If Durant left GS, I'd put Utah as the frontrunner to win it all next year with that lineup. Winning a ring is worth it, even if Davis bails after that.

This only happens if by the trade deadline Sacramento is out of the playoff picture. They try to aquire some picks for this years draft.

Rockets/ Blazers/ Wizards/ Kings

Rockets get Shumpert

Blazers get Koufos

Wizards get Randolph

Kings get Knight, Leonard, Mahinmi, Rockets 1st 2019 (unprotected), Blazers 1st 2019 ( top 12 protected ), Wizards 1st 2019 (top 3 protected ), Rockets and Wizards future 2nd rounders.

Wizards pick will be around 18 (i think they will make the playoffs), Blazers around 20-22, and Rockets around 25-27. Kings could use those picks to move up in the draft and try to draft SF (Nassir Little or Sekou Doumbouya) .

I know it looks crazy but it helps all teams involved.

1.) 14 Jan 2019 16:32:45
I am totally with you and would love to have the picks for the Kings to draft Nassir Little; however, none of these trades get Houston, Washongton, or Portland below the luxury tax this season. It lowers their luxury tax bill, but I think teams would want to get below the luxury tax line for their 1st round picks.

Also, I would look at Golden State and possibly the Lakers trading down out of the first round to avoid the cap hold for the upcoming free agency.

2.) 14 Jan 2019 17:36:37
Mahimni + 2019 1st rounder for MacLemore gets Washington under the luxury cap this year and may be a high enough pick to have a shot a Nassir Little.

Charlotte may be another team to consider as well.

3.) 15 Jan 2019 03:17:51
The blazers aren't that desperate to move Lenard's contract.

Rockets/ Wizards/ Hawks

Rockets get Otto Porter, Vince Carter and Jeff Green

Wizards get Kent Bazemore, Dewayne Dedmon, Carmelo Anthony, 2021 Rockets 1st

Hawks get Brandon Knight, Marquesse Chriss, Nene (buyout), Rockets 2019 1st and future 2nd, Wizards 2020 1st lottery protected

Rockets lineup

Paul/ Gordon/ MCW
Harden/ G. Green/ Rivers
Porter/ House/ Ennis
Tucker/ J. Green
Capela/ Hartenstein

Trade MCW and/ or Ennis for backup big man.

1.) 07 Jan 2019 15:42:28
Wizards get screwed hawks get too much.

2.) 08 Jan 2019 18:27:56
Why are wizards giving up a pick, for garbage?

07 Jan 2019 13:28:01
Rockets/ Bulls

Brandon Knight, Marquesse Chriss, 2nd rounder for Jabari Parker

Paul/ MCW
Harden/ Gordon
Ennis/ Green/ House
Tucker/ Parker
Capela/ Nene/ Hartenstein.

1.) 07 Jan 2019 16:03:53
So Chicago takes an extra year of Knight for a 2nd round pick? Why would they?

2.) 07 Jan 2019 16:36:07
Or they could just lose Parker for nothing, they get a pick and a guy that is still young enough and fits their timeline in Chriss. They will be a lottery team for two or three more years, so this isn't that bad.

3.) 07 Jan 2019 17:27:56
Since they aren't really playing Parker right now, I don't think they care if they lose him for nothing.

Plus, Parker has a team option for next year, so they can keep him if they want to anyway.

4.) 07 Jan 2019 17:39:57
If they can't find a deal they'll waive Parker. Multiple bench emptying games and Parker is the only guy not getting minutes. Something is definitely going into happen.

5.) 07 Jan 2019 18:26:28
The don’t lose Parker for nothing. It will open up capspace. Not to mention that teams aren’t going to take on salary for well below market value just to not lose a guy for nothing. The Rockets are struggling to move Knight with a 1st attached.

6.) 07 Jan 2019 18:52:15
The reason Houston is struggling with dealing Knight and a 1st is because they either want a talented player back or expiring contracts. They are not going to get. However, they may be able to get a salary dump into someone's cap space during the offseason for that package. That's about it.

7.) 07 Jan 2019 19:00:43
Knight could be a decent gamble by next years deadline as a trade piece? Pax said Parker was a short term gamble, why not tee up knight?

Picks would be 2024, 2026 and 2028. I don't think anyone trades picks that far in the future, its just stupid to do it.

So the starters will play like 46 mins per game.

What do you expect from a team with bench like that?

In 1st trade take Tucker out and put Chriss in and than maybe add a 2nd rounder.

Blazers should jump on that trade.

You can't trade more than one player in a sign and trade deal.
