I am a Dallas Mavericks fan. Now although we probably should never consider helping a division opponent, there is an opportunity here. We upgrade their present while continuing to build our future.

In this scenario, the Dallas Mavericks becomes the third team to get Melo to Houston.

Houston receives:
Carmelo Anthony

Dallas receives:
Eric Gordon
Future 2nd round pick from Houston
Future 2nd round pick from New York

New York receives:
Seth Curry
Clint Capela
Dwight Powell
Trevor Ariza
Future 1st round pick from Houston

Houston gets what they want. New York goes youth like they want, along with vet Trevor Ariza to take over starting SF for a year. Mavericks get what they hope Seth Curry will become in a couple of years - Eric Gordon.

I think that this would be a great trade for all teams although I don't like that the Mavericks are losing Curry. he's part of their future.

There is no way Houston should give up Capela for Melo. If I were them and the salaries matched, I wouldn't trade Capela straight up for Melo.

This shows just how stupid of a trade you came up with. You talk about trading for Gordon, yet have Bledsoe in the lineup. You would most likely get a 2nd rnd pick for each of those players, and yet you expect to get Gordon for free apparently. And then somehow turn him into bledsoe.

You're moving 5 players to the Knicks for Anthony, when any one of them would be more than enough to get the deal done.
