Portland signs Evan Turner, Festus Ezeli, Matches on Crabbe.
Minnesota signs Mo Harkless to a 4 year 36 million contract, will Portland match that one too?

I have no interest in paying mo harkless 9 million a year to essentially be the 6th guy off the bench. 4-5 mill sure. But 4years 36 million is too much.

I agree that I would not want to pay Harkless $9M per, but based on the salaries that have been offered this offseason so far, it's probably smarter to match then say no.

Portland may have to renounce Harkless to afford ezeli. But if they keep his rights, I'd match that. His performance once moved to PF was considerably better than playing him at SF.

Darkwing: I would agree if he plays SF for minny. But he's probably the backup PF if they play him right. He's an upgrade over Bjelica and KG.

Yeah, but I don't think he's 6 million dollars worth better than Bjelica, and the wolves have a SL player by the name if Coty Clarke that everyone following the wolves is high on, I personally think the spot Harkless would take is better served going to a younger, cheaper cat with some upside. I like mo but just not for 9 million. Minny s done a good job getting help without going crazy, I'd be disappointed if they wrecked that with a reckless signing now.

Too true Simmons. Every time I see a wiggins, Lavine or Dunn trade idea, I swear i wanna lash out. Weve watched the wolves get burnt on way too many fronts
Marburg for a broken down brandon
Sprewell and his starving family.
Sam Cassel for Marco jaric.
Johnny Flynn over Steph curry
Randy foye over Brandon Roy
David khan calling Darko Micic manna from heaven
The Joe smith deal
Kg winning in Boston.
12 year playoof drought
And on and on and on
We finally have a team with real potential and we are all half elated half terrified its going to fall apart and break our hearts.

I'm not sure how close Portland is to exceeding the cap or how willing they are to go into luxury tax but I'd keep Harkless for that price. Kid is only 23 and finally was able to start to put it together at end of last year. His shot has improved mightily and he played well at pf. He doesn't start over Aminu so its a little rich for a backup (especially since the have Turner and Crabbe at 3) but since they aren't likely adding anybody better I think it makes sense to that type of offer as to not lose young talent for nothing.

@Simmons, essentially what Darkwing said is true, but I'd also add that we're sick of seeing gambles taken because with this team becuase in Wolves history they usually don't pay off.

Our top 5-6 guys are the closest thing we have had to guaranteed good team since KG, I wouldn't want to see them throw that away by doing things like "expecting Dunn to be a superstar" and then watch as he is a complete bust, when it would be okay for us to have 2 good point guards for a while until we know what Dunn's potential actually is.

I agree with you two on standing pat rather then make a lateral trade. The trades involving wiggins on here are crazy.
