Three teamer that I think makes sense for everyone

Okc gets Love, Bledsoe, pick 3
***They move into the top three and land a potential blue chip guy. I could see Mobley, Green or Suggs here. They absorb the vets into cap and can afford to do so. Maybe they can be guys who revitalize their value.

Pelicans get pick 16
***Rumored to move their pick to add a vet, maybe it's better to move down while ditching a vet. Bledsoe was dreadful for them and is hurting their ability to retain their young guys needing new contracts.

Cavs get picks 6 and 10, Bazley
***Cavs have worked out Kuminga who might be the best fit of the top 5-6 guys. They move down, still get their guy, add the 10th pick, and bring in Bazley who still has huge upside.

Thoughts?

The Cavs can just buy-out Kevin Love. There's no need to attach value to dump his contract.

Rumors are 5 and 8 aren’t enough for 3. Why would they do 6 and 10.

So NO is basically trading down from #10 to #16 in order to salary dump Bledsoe? Not exactly sure that makes them any better next year. Nor does it address any of their weaknesses from last season (interior defense) .

I think you may have a better chance sending Bledsoe + Lakers pick back to LA for Kuzma + extra salary.

Kings get Kuzma + Harrell + LA pick from NO
Lakers get Hield + Bledsoe
NO get KCP + Bagley.

Just tossing it out there.

Buying out Love will cost 60-70 million. Owners don’t like that.

JJ_PR, your right, the Cavs could spend $60 Mil in dead money to buy him out over the next 2 years or maybe 5 years, but understand that dead money is a real hinderence to teams trying to rebuild (or compete) . Especially if they’re still intending to keep and re-sign Allen to that new, large contract, plus sign whoever they draft at #3.
I assume they’re tired of rebuilding and not making the playoffs by now, so they’re probably ready to start competing, that’ll mean trying to attract someone in free agency to that destination city of Cleveland with a lot more money.
But your right, rarely do we see an NBA team attach a value to dumping a players $60 Mil salary for someone they don’t really want on the team anymore.

Websjac, we actually don’t know that 5 and 8 wouldn’t be enough, but I’m pretty sure that it isn’t going to be.
It would be really stupid for any team to accept any deal until draft night so that they could consider and maximize all possible offers. However, it would be a smart idea of Cleveland to make other teams think that 5 and 8 isn’t enough so that they could drive up the asking price.

Okc could easily sweeten their offer with things Orlando wouldn’t likely want to top, just so the Magic could move up 2 spots.
Okc could change it’s offer to picks 6, 10, take Love’s $60 Mil contract off their books, send Kenrich Williams and add a 2022 1st Rnd pick.
If the Cavs are seriously considering offers, it’s hard to imagine another team out there willing or able to beat that one, just so that they could draft Jalen Green or Even Mobley. Orlando only has their own 1st Rnd picks and it’s likely to be a lottery pick again next year.
It honestly comes down to what the Cavs realistically hoped to get for the #3 pick, if they ever really were considering a trade.

Never.

The thing is that it doesn’t seem like the Cavs are seriously considering trading down. I’ve only hear of teams wanting to move up.
