Had blazers getting Clarke as well.

You'd give all that for McCollum?

Roster spots?

I have thought about and kind of like the Covington for Markkanen swap.

I still have no interest in that Phili offer for Lillard though. It’s just not good in every way. It doesn’t bottom them out, and it doesn’t set them up for the future.

Agree with you Bmiller66 on the Philly part of your comment. Philly's 1st round picks will fall in the late 20's. horrible value in a trade for Lillard.

Bmiller it’s very unlikely any team you trade Lillard to gives you high picks. Most likely if he’s gone he’s going to a contender. And most likely you’re going to get an elite young player. If you want to bottom out you can still trade players such as Powell/ Nurkic for exp picks.

Expiring players* and picks.

NBA16, that's where a third, and maybe fourth, team comes in.

@Bubbleboy6. What "lottery team" is giving up their pick for any assets that Philly has in order to redirect it to Portland for Lillard?

A rebuilding team isn’t going to trade their future for Lillard.

Must disagree with both Fredman and NBA16.

NBA history is littered with such trades/ draft rights shifts. I'll let you research those clear back to Bill Russell in 1956.

Lottery or rebuilding teams can put elements of protection on said picks also.

The point is the first trade suggestion in this post is horrible for the Trail Blazers. Two 1st round picks that will likely fall in the #25 to #28 range are of low value. especially when considering Philly wants 4 1sts for Simmons.

Something else to ponder. for the same reasons (some we know, some we don't) PHilly has been desperate to get rid of Simmons for many months, other teams are hesitant to take him.

Since these are all opinions based on many human variables, it's ok to disagree and admit none of us know the actual answer.

We do know the answer. If Dame gets traded it’s to a contender. He’s not going to leave Portland to go to a rebuilding team. That being said Portland will be getting the best young players from that team and picks.
