I saw this trade idea this morning and found it kinda interesting

Portland trades #7
OKC Trades #12 + Dort

Portland trades #12 + Bledsoe (waived, $4 mil guaranteed)
Detroit trades #46 + Grant

OKC walks away from the draft with Smith and Duren and Detroit walks away with Sharpe and Mark Williams. Detroit also opens up cap space for 2 max contracts.

You may be right Carl, but I think it was more about getting something more than Portland sending #7 to Detroit for Grant.
