That would make for a strong Toronto lineup that would be incapable of playing Nick Nurse's defense. They would score 10 points more a game, and give up 18 more. I don't think Toronto is anywhere close to being ready to give up on the vision they have been building, but this trade would force them to do that. the value is fine, I'm not suggesting OG and GTJ are better than Beale and Holmes, but the fit is not there at all.

I'd personally like this but I think rapsfan is right about the defense. A shame though, because Beal is one of my favorite players and his offence would be welcomed.

It just seems like Toronto fans are more concerned with getting the “Toronto brand” players than they are getting more talent that makes them better.

@bmiller - my comments aren't driven around what I would want for the Raptors, but by what I understand the current management to want. I don't click Believable or Unbelievable based on my preferences but on what Ujiri and Webster are likely to think. Raptors management has been pretty clear on the direction the franchise is taking. I just don't understand why writers around the league refuse to accept that that is the reality.
