Maybe he is, but he's only on a one year contract and i don't think you can value Poelt higher than J Grant.

So i think the Spurs can do this.
Do they want to pay Poetl next year or do they rather have an extra draft pick and develop a young talent?

Grant's value at the time he was traded was relative to the fact that Detroit was motivated to get his salary off the books. I don't think San Antonio is in the same position with Poetl, so they can afford to value him higher. Spurs might also rather wait it out and see what the value is at the deadline if a contender has lost a center to injury.

A-HA! so it WAS Detroit vs Everybody all along. SO IT IS REAL! thank you windrapsfan for validating what Detroit folks already knew.

it was never about Grant's ACTUAL value, it was more the Pistons needed something and everyone in sports is insistent on trying to keep Detroit at the bottom by any means necessary. glad we have a GM that gets his way anyway and i can't wait to see the Pistons torch the NBA sooner than later.

and you casuals kept saying "oh the Pistons are overvaluing Grant" but Blazer fans can't get their lips off their GM's you know what for acquiring him without giving much.

as the league gets corrupt and loses integrity, it looks like most of the fans are trending right along with it. good to know.
