How about a 3 team trade involving NOP,Toronto and my TrailBlazers, could be fun. 1st trade Portland trades Lillard and Covington to Toronto for #4 and Siakam and 4 future 1st , then Toronto sends Lowry to NOP for #10 And Ingram, Portland trades Nurkic for Jansen and future 2023 1st round pick swap .IMO This helps all 3 teams.

How does trading Ingram and 10?you mean 17? For lowry helps the Pels? Please explain.

2.) 29 Jul 2021 05:12:46
Pelicans clique. Lowry for Ball. FYI Pelicans already traded 10 pick to grizz5.

3.) 29 Jul 2021 05:14:49
Toronto trading Siakam for Lillard makes no sense, they need a co-star.

4.) 29 Jul 2021 05:15:38
Also the Pelicans would laugh at the prospect of trading BI for Lowry.

5.) 29 Jul 2021 05:36:04
Ingram is better than Lowry and younger, why are the Pelicans throwing in a pick at all, especially one they don't have anymore? They traded #10, Bledsoe, and Adams to Memphis for #17 and JV.

6.) 29 Jul 2021 13:03:03
One of the worst trade ideas. Lowry for Ingram AND Pels give up a 1st. UnflippinReal.

Then to follow up with the Blazers rebuild sign N.Powell to a 4 year 72 m contract with a 5th year option, in the draft at #7 D.Mitchell Pg from Baylor U., then wth #14 select M.Moody SG Arkansas. Then trade Nurkic and one of the future 1st from GS to Dallas for Porzingas. IMO believe this could happen. Start the rebuild and see what happens in Billups 4 years.

Nurkic is worth more than Porzingis.

IMO, here's what I believe needs to happen before the draft this year give Neil his walking papers, Portland needs to do a full rebuild ,start fresh as they are with the coaches. a new GM who isn't afraid to trade players for picks or established veterans. Starting with a trade that would benefit Portland and Golden State first , #1 trade Dame and Covington to G S for #7,#14, then the next 4 future 1st rounds and receive Wiggins, Wiseman and Poole, the second trade McCollum to NOP for Ingram and swap future 1st round picks in the next 2/3 years that qualify for each. Your thoughts?

Here's a trade in my opinion would benefit all teams involved. Portland Receives #1 pick in 2021,C-Jaxson Hayes and PG Corey Joseph, New Orleans PG Lillard, Detroit SF Brandon Ingram and #10 pick in 2021 draft from New Orleans. This is a very good and fair trade . Portland could draft C. Cunningham . Detroit drafts D. Mitchell . Very fair. Then Portland could trade some of our younger position players to get future picks or players. You Thoughts?

Interesting but I don't think that's enough for Detroit. They should just draft Cade Cunningham he's got big star potential and he'll be on a rookie contract, they can build the team around him. BI is a really good player but I don't know if he's a legit #1 andarge contract. If the blazers trade Dame (hope not) . This is a very intriguing offer.

2.) 12 Jul 2021 14:42:58
I don’t think that’s enough for Lillard personally. If all goes right, Cades ceiling is worse than Lillard. I guess if Portland wants to give up on Dame they do this.
New Orleans obviously does this.
Detroit I don’t think would do it either. Ingram is solid but is old and expensive. Drafting Cade allows them to have a fresh rebuild and a young star to build around.

Forgot to do the line up for Portland---PF Sabonis, SF Covington, C Kanter, SG Barrett and PG Lillard.... Should be able to be improved on defense and a better controlled offense. Bench Simmons, Little, Jefferson,Jones, Collins,Powell and the 1st pick from Indiana Kispert and then 2sd round pick PF Sims . Could be a fun and exciting team.

Blazer trash talk or truth? Let Miss Allen run her team with a winning attitude. Neil Olshey is just not wanting to create a Winning Environment for the Portland fans. He's had opportunities to bring in the right mix of players for awhile now, and where has his philosophy gotten us . ..?? One western finals and four 1st round outs, We need a whole front office clean up., in my opinion, I for one have been a regular fan for ever, now it's like Portland lately has had opportunities to bring in top caliber players, but have failed to accommodate. In my opinion if Portland is to very get the 1977 Championship mentality both on offense and defense, then bring it. Till then one and done or none and lottery or just out off lottery,! Your thoughts!

As a Kings fan I would tell you that you may want to be grateful for those playoff appearances. Things could be a whole lot worse.

2.) 11 Aug 2021 14:23:02
As a Raptor fan it was awesome to watch my team get the chip, and I understand the frustrations of being a perennial bridesmaid. I'd still rather that then go through what Philly fans put up with in The Process ( that still hasn't resulted in success) . Much rather cheer for a team that is always trying to compete, even if they're not quite good enough to be best.

Something about some of the nba free agents that want that big payday, first of all you need to be happy you've even made it to the NBA, second when coming in as a rookie or a proven second year ,third year player you still need to show your new or old team respect. They try to accommodate you and the other players with salaries that most will never see. Just be Happy with what your offered, none of you are the golden child, pampered and spoiled. This is in my Opinion.

Nah, screw that, get what you can get. The ownership constantly talks about “it’s a business”. The players have to treat it the same way, because careers can end in a moment’s notice.

2.) 09 Aug 2021 17:37:47
"They try to accommodate you" is just a bold lie for starters. They only care about winning and how much it cost to win. So they are going to do whatever is possible to keep that salary cost low while attempting to win games.

If you do a statistical regression of the value of a player based upon their stats, players like Schroder have a value higher than the TPMLE. So the question becomes, are players like Schroder willing to work (not play) for less than what their value is? I don't know, but I have always found that it is very, very hard to get multi-millionaires to be willing to work for less than their statistical value and player's agents are quite well aware of.

For some reason, I do not believe that Blazer77 is in a similar position as multi-millionaires in order to make assessments of their position or character. But this is just my opinion.

If the management really wants to create a championship team they need to honestly reevaluate the team. They've done this now for 7 years and haven't got it done. Everything starts with management. IMO it's time to start new. New management, they already have the new coach, so now look at realistic trades that will help. No more trading 2first round picks for a player. Those picks that Portland gave up for Covington has really hurt our teams future. Yes Covington is a decent player but I for one don't see giving up 2 firsts round picks for him. Now the team is in uncertainty over what they have done. It's time to start new and make major changes. Let Mrs. Allen have more of a say in what happens.

Blazer77

1.) 27 Jul 2021 20:30:43
Jody doesn’t want a say.

Also, that Covington trade looks fine to me. Stewart doesn’t seem like a star in the making. And Portland doesn’t need another guy around pick 20 do they? If Portland rebuilt, I think they could get a mid teens pick back from Covington, so it’s not like the cost they paid is sunk.

2.) 27 Jul 2021 21:54:30
The Covington deal is questionable as Portland's Def Rtg actually got worse last season. 2 firsts for a guy who did not help.

3.) 28 Jul 2021 02:19:44
The defense with Powell, RoCo, and Nurkic was actually not bad.

The defense with Hood, Melo, and Kanter was a disaster the likes of which maybe has never been seen. Covington couldn’t cover all of that. He was still really good this year.

26 Jul 2021 19:40:48
IMO if the Blazers don't make at least 2 moves ,whether by trade or draft to upgrade the chances of building a Champion in Portland, it's time to to make front office changes or simply TANK OUT for the season.

I just read that the Blazers have turned down several 1st round picks and players for McCollum. Supposedly it's a win now with veterans who by the way don't want to come to a small market team. That alone shows that there is no urgency in the Blazers front office to get young good players to develop, how else are we going to see another Championship here? It's been almost 45 years. I've been a fan since day 1, have seen a lot of good and a lot of bad.. It's time to right the ship . Do some trades and do a better job on selling why move to Oregon!,

This trade to me makes good sense, new coach and different scheme. Portland could easily make good with the GS Warriors return. I for one am all in on this. New coach and a fresh start.

In the 1st trade IMO a 3rd team should be involved .

My favorite all time team was The 1977Champion Blazers. They had all areas covered. Defense, offense, bench and coaching .
