-Los Angeles receives: Kevin Durant & Kyrie Irving
-Brooklyn receives: Anthony Davis & Russell Westbrook

-Los Angeles goes for proven players. Durant has shown he can lead a team & Kyrie is playoff tested.
-Brooklyn acquires perhaps the most talented player of the bunch in Davis. Westbrook is added to match salary.

1.) 03 Jul 2022 00:30:12
You need to quite listening to Adrian the idiot, and all the la media. Durant is better than Davis and Irving is better then Westbrook. So tell me why they would mk that trade? Neither of those Lakers players hv much value. Davis has been hurt for the last 2 years, and supposedly hasn't touched a ball in almost 6 months. And Westbrook just makes everyone worse.

2.) 03 Jul 2022 09:00:06
But it's propably still the best package they could get for Durant+Irving.

19 Jun 2022 02:35:18
Cleveland receives: Russell Westbrook, 1st round swap (Cavs choice), '27 unprotected first
Los Angeles receives: Caris LeVert and Kevin Love

Cleveland moves on from Love. They get two firsts for him.
Los Angeles gets two quality players without giving up all their firsts.

1.) 19 Jun 2022 02:39:38
Russell Westbrook probably gets waived by Cleveland. They do it for the picks.

2.) 19 Jun 2022 03:23:16
This is terrible for the Cavs. No team that is looking to contend is going to trade for Westbrook.

Plus, you said the Cavs get 2 first to take on Westbrook. How? A pick swap is not another pick.

3.) 19 Jun 2022 05:13:08
Pick swap is valuable if the Lakers suck that year. You do know how pick swaps work right?

4.) 19 Jun 2022 06:22:33
@JJ_PR I think what he is saying is that while you said the Cavs are getting 2 first to take on Westbrook, they are getting one first and a swap, not two picks.

Trade #1
Cleveland receives: Kevin Huerter and Jalen Johnson
Atlanta receives: Cedi Osman and 14th pick

Cleveland adds a 3pt specialist and a good wing prospect.
Atlanta gets some cap flexibility and a lottery pick.

Trade #2
Cleveland receives: Cam Johnson and Dario Saric
Phoenix receives: Lauri Markkanen

Cleveland goes away from the tall line-ups in favor of a traditional small forward.
Phoenix gets a big that can stretch the floor next to Ayton.

PG: Darius Garland / Collin Sexton / Ricky Rubio
SG: Kevin Huerter / Caris LeVert / Isaac Okoro
SF: Cam Johnson / Jalen Johnson / Dylan Windler / Lamar Stevens
PF: Evan Mobley / Kevin Love / Dean Wade
C: Jarrett Allen / Moses Brown
Coach: J. B. Bickerstaff.

1.) 13 Jun 2022 13:25:51
Would Sexton want to stay for a bench role?

2.) 13 Jun 2022 15:58:02
That's my assumption. As long as he gets paid, I don't think it would be an issue. I could be wrong though.

3.) 13 Jun 2022 20:23:10
Sexton said he wants starter money. if the Cavs want to pay him 20 mil to come off the bench, that's their right. but it would be pretty stupid.

4.) 13 Jun 2022 23:21:53
@iFroth it's a gamble. Sexton was an all-star caliber player last season. He could definetly contribute in a number of ways off the bench.

Johnson is under contract for one more year. They should try to sign extension with hım. If they fail then they should trade hım.

My Cleveland Cavaliers dream off-season

1. Re-sign Darius Garland 5 years, $175 million
2. Re-sign Collin Sexton 5 years, $100 million.
3. Re-sign Caris LeVert 2 years, $40
4. Re-sign Moses Brown 4 years, $25 million
5. Sign Ricky Rubio 3 years, $25 million.
6. Draft Malaki Branham with #14.
7. Draft E. J. Liddell with #39
8. Draft Isaiah Mobley with #56

PG: Darius Garland / Collin Sexton / Ricky Rubio
SG: Caris LeVert / Malaki Branham / Isaac Okoro
SF: Lauri Markkanen / Cedi Osman / Dylan Windler
PF: Evan Mobley / Kevin Love / E. J. Liddell
C: Jarrett Allen / Moses Brown / Isaiah Mobley
Coach: J. B. Bickerstaff.

1.) 01 Jun 2022 20:23:57
Over 60mil a year alone for PG’s, and abt 30mil a year for both backups. Idk if I’d pay my 3rd stringer over 8mil a year.

2.) 01 Jun 2022 21:34:33
that is why i believe Sexton will be on another team. Cleveland would be stupid to pay 100 mil for a 6th man. Garland/ Rubio/ another cheap PG for depth would make much more sense. they could sign Tyus Jones for much cheaper as a backup to Garland.

the Cavs need scoring wings like LeVert. they need a 2-way SF who can create and also create for others. Sexton is not worth 100 mil he might get 3 years 50 mil since coming off an injury. given his age, his 3rd contract will be his big payday if he keeps improving and stays healthy. he is a starter medium risk high reward for a young team.

i see what you did there getting all OSU players drafted to CLE along with Evan Mobley's brother but Malaki Branham will probably go top 10 with recent rises and falls of prospects. Liddell would be a nice pick up for the Cavs and he should still be there at 14.

sign and trades are very rare anyway, Cavs are better off letting Sexton walk and using that money to add a wing in free agency. Gary Harris would be a better fit and much cheaper.

3.) 02 Jun 2022 02:15:42
If he only get 3/ 50, the Cavs would be really dumb to let him walk. Even if he’s not in the long term plans, matching or offering him a decent contract is a better asset management move than using that money on anyone realistic they could get in free agency like Gary Harris.

Even at 5/ 100, I’d match. That’s a tradeable contract.

Thoughts on Ousmane Dieng? He's my guy at #14. Does he fit next to Garland?

1.) 23 Jun 2022 16:48:27
I mean, you're the Cavs fan, but I quite like Dieng on the Cavs. Garland/ LeVert/ Dieng/ Mobley/ Allen.

18 May 2022 01:06:26
@DifferentBeast_MD must be very happy right now.

1.) 18 May 2022 01:15:51
Yes I am!

2.) 18 May 2022 18:43:26
I feel sorry for the pick. OKC. SAC and HOU are far better destinations.

3.) 18 May 2022 18:50:21
I could make an argument that Orlando has just a bright of a future as either team tho.

4.) 19 May 2022 00:49:50
Against 38 picks for OKC over 7 years? Before a legit star like Cade Cunningham? I’m all ears.

5.) 19 May 2022 23:24:23
Kinda feel this could be an Ayton-Bagley-Luka-JJJ-Young kinda draft.

23 Oct 2021 02:55:47
Please don't post all three proposals I just submitted. Only put the last one, thanks.

Thoughts on the trade that went down today?

Cleveland receives: Lauri Markkanen

Chicago receives: Derrick Jones Jr, '22 lotto protected first from Portland and '23 second rounder via Denver

Portland receives: Larry Nance Jr.

I love this for Cleveland. We needed shooting badly.

1.) 28 Aug 2021 05:24:21
Good move for Portland, they finally get a PF with size and can play D.

2.) 28 Aug 2021 11:06:46
Kinda surprised Markkane got $16+ per year.

3.) 28 Aug 2021 11:51:30
Just a move to replace love.

4.) 30 Aug 2021 23:34:20
What are the Cavs supposed to do with Allen, Mobley, Markkanen, and Love all on the same team?

28 Jul 2021 23:59:41
Assuming Cleveland goes with Mobley @ 3, how could they trade back into the first round for Corey Kispert and Trey Murphy? Three team trade? Would they have to give up Sexton?

Spacing is an issue with this roster. There are other ways to fix it but I'm real insterested in those two. They are projected in the mid first round.

1.) 29 Jul 2021 02:26:24
Sexton could get you back in the lottery imo (especially 13-15 pretty easily)

Nance could get you a pick in the 20s.

Allen AND draft picks? You're crazy bro. Cleveland laughs at this horrible proposal.

The value is about right, maybe too light for Utah. That said, I'm not interested in trading for Mitchell at all. We have a good thing going in Cleveland, don't ruin it by mortgaging your future for a player that might not fit. He's a defensive liability & is undersized, not a good match next to Garland.

If Boston can get Trae Young while only giving up Brown, they should absolutely do it. Trae is a tier above Brown in terms of talent.

Orlando is a free agent destination & they have a nice young core. Brown will definitely consider joining them if they have the cap space.
