Not nearly enough for Cousins: Gordon, Hezonja, Oladipo/ Payton, and ORL and LAL picks are where serious talks begin.

2.) 28 Feb 2016 13:18:42
I agree with you, but the kings are going to want a center in return. So giving vucevic and all of the picks with fournier and payton should be enough.

3.) 28 Feb 2016 13:41:30
It won't be anywhere close to enough. The Kings want a center that can play defense. Not a center with major fefensive issues. A ton of fillers and a mid to late lottery pick and an Unguarenteed pick a couple years away which could end up anywhere from 1-25 or be 2 seconds. Not for the best center at the beginning of his prime. It's a terrible return for the Kings.

4.) 28 Feb 2016 14:03:14
Kings have WCS, don't think they'll be looking for a C, especially not Vuc, who is terrible at D.

5.) 29 Feb 2016 02:04:45
To much for Jeff Teague IMO.

6.) 29 Feb 2016 02:56:31
Yes but Vucevic has had his time as a power forward and could excel at that position next to WCS, that would be a deadly Combo.

7.) 29 Feb 2016 16:03:13
Vucevic, Oladipo and Gordon? Seems like a lot of assets but able to keep picks to trade away to replace? Maybe?

I know the depth chart currently lists Gordon as the starting 3. But moving forward, in order to have success with him, he will NEED to be moved to the 4. He is not capable of effectively guarding a smaller, athletic 3.

I think the magic need to figure out how to trade away Vucevic and get a solid defending center in return. Push gordon to the 4, Herzonja to the 3, Oladipo the 2 and a solid vet pg at the 1.

Rondo isn't the way to go, especially with his attitude.

I can't see conley having any interest, but i'd say strive for

Perhaps trade with the sixers, peyton and a pick somewhere for Noel.

Conley
Oladipo
Hezonja
Gordon
Noel.

I think Conley won't be great because of his age, perhaps make a trade for teague, but that's a team you can build on and allows the players to develop in their proper position. For me personally, i think the weak spot is Gordon, I think he is never going to be more than a good rotational player, but still, its a great start!

2.) 27 Feb 2016 19:16:46
@knicks, spot on. But I have more faith in Gordon, if he improves shooting (he was shooting fine during summer league, I think he will be decent eventually) he could be one of the better PFs to come.

3.) 27 Feb 2016 20:12:11
If I am Orlando, I don't make that trade for Millsap. He spurned the Magic in the off season to re-sign with Atl.

4.) 27 Feb 2016 20:45:00
@knicks Gordon's speed was measured in that of a guard as he's much faster then forwards at the NBA combine making him more then capable of guarding 1-4 and some 5s so he could play sf. But it really depends on what Orlando does to where they put him as they obviously have targets for free agency.

5.) 28 Feb 2016 03:15:41
I got that. I just think long term Gordon should be playing the 4 just my opinion on the guy. Athletic as hell. But the 4 is the best for.

Gordon/ Hezonja/ Smith
Vucevic/ Ilyaova/ Nicholson
Whiteside/ Noah/ Dedmon.

NBAABA

1.) 27 Feb 2016 10:23:41
Terrible shooting on the 1st unit. May clog inside lane. Maybe start Hezonja instead of Gordon if that's the way you want Magic to go.

2.) 27 Feb 2016 15:06:45
1. You have 36 guaranteed next year, including Napier, so the total cap space is likely 56 million if the cap is 92.

2. You cannot play vucevic at the 4 and Gordon at the 3.

3. You need to match whiteside with a good defending pf to make up for his lack of coverage when going for blocks

4. This team is awful. Like USA said, the 1st unit is out of position and offensively would be terrible. Defensively as well. You have Gordon and vucevic covering players they have no place guarding.

5. Conley won't be leaving the Grizzlies to go to Orlando.

NBAABA

1.) 25 Feb 2016 14:51:03
As a Magic fan, I'd do this trade. No way in hell Washington does though.

2.) 25 Feb 2016 20:17:56
Wizards won't trade wall for role players and a decent pg. going to have to have a package around Oladipo and their 2016 1st.

Very interesting trade, especially for the offseason.
Would play FA and draft a bit differently though - I'd take Luwawu, and spend money from J. Smith on some fine shooting wing (Lee, Henderson. )
Irving-Oladipo-Hezonja-Gordon-Horford
Jennings-Henderson-Luwawu-Ilyasova-Noah (Dedmond)

The only 2 teams with the assets to trade for Cousins is either the Magic or Celtics.
