Thunder/ Hawks/ Hornets

Thunder - Bazemore (S&T) 21st, 22nd. (Beasley/ Prince)

Hawks - Kanter.

Hornets - Roberson.

Thunder
Westbrook/ Payne
Bazemore/ Beasley
Durant/ Huestis
Ibaka/ Prince
Adams/ Mcgary.

Nate1812

1.) 07 Jun 2016 20:18:37
Roberson is worth more than that and I don't see Thunder trading Roberson and Hornets don't need him since they have MKG.

2.) 07 Jun 2016 21:46:18
I agree with NBA. No need to deal Roberson in that trade as he's still young and signed cheaply for two more years. If they could trade Kanter for Bazemore and 21st I'd take it if I were the Thunder. I don't really see Hawks doing it unless they think they are going to lose both Horford and Bazemore for nothing.

Nuggets/ Bulls

Nuggets - Butler
Bulls - 7th, 16th, Gallo, Barton, Nurkic.

Nate1812

1.) 07 Jun 2016 22:04:56
I like the players (although none appear to be stars) but not the picks especially in this draft. I think this trade would ultimately make Bulls a better team (in present and future) but I don't think it's enough to part with a young superstar when you clearly aren't getting any players with superstar potential in return.

Grizzlies/ Raptors/ Nets

Grizzlies - 9th, Valanciunas, Ross.

Raptors - Gasol, Young

Nets - 17th, Patterson

Grizzlies Rebuild with a lottery pick and a talented young center.

Raptors Load up frontcourt and become real contenders in the East.

Nets grab a pick and a younger stretch 4.

Nate1812

1.) 07 Jun 2016 17:13:55
Thad young isn't a stiff. I think Brooklyn needs more.

2.) 07 Jun 2016 22:40:47
I like it for all the teams involved. If Conley leaves Grizzlies are going to be an old mess with Gasol one of their few assets. I think that's a decent haul for him (I'd call Boston up too) . I'm not sure how willing they'd be to part with their first maybe Raptors give them their #27 too since they need an infusion of some youth. I think that is fairly close to Young's value a mid-round 1st. He's a solid player but a bit of a tweener and not too consistent a shooter but his athleticism helps him make up for that. At 27 he is about as good as he is going to get especially once that athleticism starts to go. He is on a pretty team-friendly contract too. Don't see them getting much more elsewhere. Patterson is an average stretch 4 also. Nets aren't going anywhere with or without him so getting a draft pick for the future I think is best move for Nets.

I'm curious if Raptors do a similar deal for Lopez and Young. Lopez isn't quite as good as Gasol but is a little younger and its Gasol who has the most recent foot injury not Lopez. Lopez has also been putting up arguably better stats albeit on a worse team although he also didn't have Conley feeding him and others to attract defenses attention. May be a little too much but would put Nets in a much better place.

3.) 07 Jun 2016 22:44:21
Maybe Nets can somehow get Boston to give them a little something out of pity. A deal like this would definitely improve Boston's future picks from the Nets so maybe the slightly incentivize the deal by making some small deal where they give one of their boatload of 2nd rounders for somebody Nets have stashed in Europe or something.

4.) 07 Jun 2016 23:29:51
Also possibly instead of (or in addition to) getting Young Raptors try and get Randolph from Grizzlies too. I don't see him having much trade value (Raptors add #27 or let Grizzlies keep their own first) or being of much use to a rebuilding Memphis team. He's getting up there in age but I think he is still better than what Raptors have and him and Gasol have worked well together past few years. Then with either #27 or #17 they go after a replacement like Ellenson (he has been dropping in mocks idk if he drops that far) or Diallo at #17 or Maker, Bentil or Bolomboy at 27.

5.) 07 Jun 2016 23:59:31
Take our Ninth Pick and then sure.

Jazz/ Lakers

Jazz - Clarkson S&T, 32nd.

Lakers - Burks, 12th.

Jazz get a point guard lakers get a SG next to russell and a pick they can use on a big.

i feel like LA should give more though.

Nate1812

1.) 07 Jun 2016 14:21:06
I agree that the Lakers would need to give a little more, but have sign and trades really ever been done with guys that wouldn't be getting a max deal on the open market? I thought the whole point of the sign and trade in most cases (Atleast recently) were to give an extra year to the contract to a guy that was already going to get a max deal therefore making the overall value of the contract substantially more then if the player just signed with a team as a free agent.

Not saying this is an example, but I keep seeing people try to trade guys that aren't necessarily thier players (free agents) in order to get some value back, but why would the player not want to just test the market rather then assist a team that doesn't want them?

2.) 07 Jun 2016 15:20:07
Unless Poeltl would be there at 12, I wouldn't do it. Burke has played only 27 and 31 games these past two years and shoots around the 40-41% mark and has a turnover ratio of 3:2 and then 2:1.5. I would pass but Lakers might need to give more.

3.) 07 Jun 2016 15:28:23
Burks, for his career, shoots the same as Clarkson, this past year, about the same Ast:turnover ratio. Personally, I don't like either. Like King said, Burks has injury concerns. Clarkson is just not that impressive. Especially not once you factor in he will be getting over 10 million next year.

Please don't get me wrong, clarkson has a definite place in this league. But 15, 4, 2.that does not equate to what he will be getting paid next year. Especially when you account for the fact that his 2 years in the NBA were with the 4th and 2nd worst team in the league. AKA, bloated stats.

4.) 07 Jun 2016 19:44:32
Clarkson is a 2nd round pick averaging 15 4 and 2 in his 2nd year in the league. That looks pretty impressive to me. Will he be a star? Probably not, but he definely has the work ethic and hunger to get better and become a pretty good starter in this league. Hell I would consider him being a solid 6th man to be impressive. And btw he can only make $5 mil for the next 2 seasons.

As for the bloated stats, that is so wrong when in pertains to him. Bloated stats refers to a player who had a terrific year while being the main man on a trash team (MCW) . Clarkson was the 2nd (Kobe) and sometimes even 3rd (Russell) option on the team.

5.) 07 Jun 2016 23:01:50
Ya I'm not sure how sign and trades work but I think since Clarkson is a restricted free agent and Lakers will most likely keep him since they don't want to lose him for nothing and his salary is limited by the arenas provision that he can't effectively test the market and agreeing to a sign and trade is likely the only way he can go elsewhere without waiting until a trade in January or whenever players recently signed can be dealt.

I think Clarksons stats are bloated since playing for a bad team he was able to get more minutes (he was first in minutes per game on the Lakers at 32) and shots (second to Kobe but averaged about 14 per game) than he likely would on a better team and also since they are bad a lot of those games probably weren't too close and a lot of those minutes came when they were trailing a lot, the other teams starters weren't in and other team isn't trying as much. Ultimately he played a bigger role than his talent suggests he should because Lakers were that devoid of talent.

I wouldn't like to see Jazz get him especially at that price when players like Teague and Knight are available and possibly Conley for nothing.

6.) 07 Jun 2016 23:19:56
Daniel-Kobe was hurt year 1 and didn't play a good amount of the games last year. The stats are are atleast somewhat inflated because of that team being horrible as stated above. He's not a starter on even most decent teams. I do agree he could be an instant offense type of guy off the bench though.

7.) 08 Jun 2016 04:56:17
Kobe was hurt his first year and didn't play a lot of games this year.

8.) 10 Jun 2016 18:05:20
Jazz give up two 1st round picks for a shoot first point guard and a 2nd round pick. The Jazz are not morons. HOGWASH.

Blazers offseason

Trade #1 Blazers/ Nuggets
Blazers - 7th, Barton.
Nuggets - McCollum.

Draft:
7th Jaylen Brown.

Free Agency:
Whiteside 4 year max.
Sign Augustin.
Sign Lee

Roster
PG. Lillard/ Augustin
SG. Barton/ Lee
SF. Aminu/ Brown/
PF. Davis/ Harkless/ Vonleh.
C. Whiteside/ Leonard.

am i undervaluing McCollum? or is that close to his value?

Nate1812

1.) 07 Jun 2016 05:41:27
I say POR might not break the Lillard-McCollum tandem just yet.

2.) 07 Jun 2016 05:57:28
i was thinking that but figured i would post anyway ;)

3.) 07 Jun 2016 06:22:17
I'm not entirely certain what McCollum's value is but I don't think he's a superstar but he is a good crafty scorer that can shoot the lights out but is kinda small for a shooting guard which shows defensively and he's about to get paid a whole lot of money. If I were Portland I'd probably be trying to shop him but I don't think I'd take this deal since not a fan of this years draft and who #7 (which sounds good) will get you.

4.) 07 Jun 2016 13:48:52
Brown has some crazy upside, ceiling is a more athletic Kawhi but not has good on D.

76ers Offseason.

Trade #1

Suns - Okafor
76ers - 4th (Dunn) Warren.

Trade #2
Nuggets - Covington, 24th, 26th.
76ers - 15th (Lawawu or Korkmaz)

Free Agency.
Offer Beal Max, if not Beal Fournier 4 years 60 mil.
Resign Smith
gotta Spend cap so sign Ian Mahinmi 1 year 20 mil.

Roster.
PG. Dunn/ Smith
SG. Beal/ Lawawu
SF. Ingram/ Grant
PF. Noel/ Saric.
C. Embiid/ Mahinmi.

Nate1812

1.) 19 May 2016 21:26:58
IF the Sixers take Simmons, I now think Noel is the odd man out. Simmons at the high post and OK4 down low would be interesting. Embiid and Saric coming off the bench for about 20 minutes a night.

Trade #2 is interesting since (I"m pretty sure) Kormaz was Saric's teammate last year overseas.

17 May 2016 15:02:01
Sixers win draft lottery.

Nate1812

1.) 17 May 2016 15:09:45
I'm going to be worried all day about this, never thought about it before.

2.) 17 May 2016 15:25:18
Go watch the video of how the lottery actually works. That will bake your noodle.

3.) 17 May 2016 15:33:46
I did philly.

4.) 17 May 2016 16:29:29
It sure seems like the odds are not favorable. I don't know how they come up with the percentages for getting a top 3 pick but it sure seems like tanking is a risky proposition.

I'm predicting the Kings get into the top 3.

5.) 17 May 2016 23:34:52
I never knew it was like that before I watched the video. 7 out of the last 10 time someone was at 2, they fell out of the three spot which makes me worried.

13 May 2016 03:50:04
Everyone who said OKC would be eliminated, you have such little faith.

Nate1812

1.) 13 May 2016 05:24:52
I would like to see how hungry Durant and Westbrook is beating the Warriors. Would be a fun WCF. Respect to Duncan and Ginobili. I think Spurs need a new PG. Parker is not himself anymore. Conley? Teague?

2.) 13 May 2016 05:32:34
A report come out today that they are going to pursue Conley.

3.) 13 May 2016 13:42:52
I thought the Spurs looked old and unathletic last night. They've already replaced Duncan with Aldridge. Now they have to replace Parker and Manu. So Conley makes sense.

4.) 13 May 2016 15:23:13
It really wasn't that much of a stretch to think SAS would continue dominating everyone but GSW. OKC coughed up a bunch of games late this season and Billy Donovan seemed like a figure head not a coach. I was pulling for OKC cause I'm a huge KD and Westbrook fan, but I'll admit that I didn't think they'd look this good vs SAS.
The 2 big stories coming out of this series I see are #1 Billy Donovan's coming out party as a legit coach of NBA talent, and #2 the Spurs are officially in transition from the big 3 to the Leonard and Aldrich show. They need to either replace TP or sign a 2 guard to take over primary backcourt duties, and Duncan needs to retire. Would be fitting to see KG and TD go out in the same year.
As In Mahinmi said " I always saw Kevin Garnett as Tim Duncan's evil twin, like in a bizarro world TD would be KG".

5.) 13 May 2016 15:47:33
I wouldn't say little faith, just maybe rooting for the Spurs? At least that's what it was with me.

6.) 13 May 2016 15:54:52
Adams vs Bogut
Ibaka vs Green
Durant vs Barnes
Robertson vs Thompson
Westbrook vs Curry
Waiters and Kanter vs Iguodala, Ezeli and Livingston

I think Thompson and the benchplayersare going to make the difference.

7.) 13 May 2016 17:02:49
I always love that people try to analyze which team will win by individual team aspects. Well, this player has an advantage. the team won. Prety sure the spurs should have taught everyone over the last decade, it's not about individual pieces, it's about team as a whole.

8.) 13 May 2016 19:31:32
There is no I in team, but there is one in win.

9.) 13 May 2016 19:49:27
And stupId.

10.) 13 May 2016 23:03:06
Right gasupo so thompsons mitchnatch trumps the former mvp durants? Get out of here.

11.) 13 May 2016 23:28:42
I think Spurs should target players like Conley, Teague, Bazemore, and Affalo.

12.) 13 May 2016 23:59:23
I thought bogut got hurt?

Winston i think you're overvaluing Rubio a little, while he i'd a great defensive PG and playmaker he can't shoot and that will always keep him from his potential.
