sixers/raptors

sixers get: Norman Powell

Raps get: Mike Scott, Tony Bradley, sixers 2021 #1 pick.

Toronta gets a young big who can play decent back up minutes, vet pf scott, but most importantly a #1 pick. Sixers get scorer, shooter, shot creator they lack.

Sixers don't need any more guards. Sixers are a set team.

2.) 22 Mar 2021 17:06:51
I've heard the Sixers are looking a backup PF, if they trade Scott.

3.) 22 Mar 2021 17:37:40
Doza; could get that needed backup pf in a seperate deal. one isn't contingent on the other.

Sixers/Kings

Kings get: D.Green, T.Maxey, T.Fuerguson, Sixers 2021 1st rd pick, Knicks 2021 2nd rd pick

Sixers get; Harrison Barnes

Slide barnes in for Green in the starting line up. Have a legit scoring threat with playoff championship experience. Sac gets a number 1 pick, 19 mill in expiring contracts, and a young back court player who can run and fits with Fox led kings.

1.) 05 Mar 2021 16:04:53
Wayy to much for Barnes.

2.) 05 Mar 2021 16:11:20
TTP what are you doing shafting the sixers like that?

3.) 05 Mar 2021 18:00:12
i just want to get Green out of the starting line up, and his 15million expiring salary is perfect to complete a trade. Too many times he is practically a non contributor. Not high on Maxey either, although some people are, and rightfully so. He's exciting with a lot of talent and just a kid, but don't think he will ever contribute to a championship with the way the sixers are currently constructed. Furguson is just a salary filler. So maybe we expand the trade and send Bjelica to philly and we send Scott to Sac. Maxey, Green, Scott, Ferguson, philly 1st rd pick 2021, knicks 2nd rd pic 2021 in exchange for Barnes and Bjelica.

4.) 05 Mar 2021 18:35:19
PG: Simmons / Shake
SG: Curry / Korkmaz
SF: Barnes / Thybulle
PF: Harris / Bjelica
C: Embiid / Howard

Better shooting and depth then the team is currently working with.

Thoughts?

5.) 05 Mar 2021 19:56:01
How many young guards does SAC want? They may tell us keep maxey and give up another 1st.

6.) 05 Mar 2021 22:42:27
Barnes would be a good target for the 76ers, but the value is way off on this one. Huge overpay by the 6ers.

Sixers/Pels

sixers get: Ball

Pels get: Maxey, Ferguson, sixers 2021 #1 pick

Ball, Curry, Simmons, Harris, Embiid

TTP76

1.) 24 Feb 2021 18:15:39
Ball> Maxey. Ferguson is no help and Pels have plenty of picks. Another very late 1st means little. Easy pass.

2.) 24 Feb 2021 21:18:17
Actually think that Ball doesn't add that much to the 76ers anyways. Basketball is in Simmons hands and Ball is not that reliable a shooter. I guess Ball can be the backup PG off the bench.

3.) 24 Feb 2021 22:06:31
Ball isn’t worth 2 consecutive 1st round picks. Both teams pass.

4.) 24 Feb 2021 22:14:56
Ball and Simmons playing together is great in pick up game where it’s run and gun. In a half court game not so much.

Sixers/Kings

Sixers get: B.Heild, N.Bjelica

Kings get; D.Green, S.Curry, M.Scott, 2021 1st, 2021 NYK 2nd

TTP76

1.) 22 Feb 2021 22:58:31
Not sure this helps the 76ers. Curry is been great for Philly.

2.) 23 Feb 2021 00:53:16
Terrible for the Sixers. weakens their starting 5.

13 Feb 2021 14:22:38
sixers/kings

sixers get:Nemanja Bjelica

Kings get:Terrance Ferguson, Mike Scott, 2021 sixers 2nd rd pick.

All contracts are expiring with players involved. So essentially, kings take a flyer on Ferguson reaching some of his potential(only 22 yrs old), get a hard nosed back up PF who plays D, and a 2ndr for a back up PF who is unhappy and out of Walton's rotation. Philly gets a back up PF who can be a decent replacement for harris when he sits. sixers need a back up pf who is capable of scoring .

TTP76

1.) 13 Feb 2021 15:45:04
have to add, this is not an original idea. similar trade floating around on many sixer sites. But seems to make sense. plus, Morey and Kings front office have connections.

2.) 13 Feb 2021 18:32:53
Philly's second not enough to entice Kings who already have 3 2021 seconds. Ferguson and Scott will not be resigned.

I have proposed Bejlica and either Kings or Memphis 2021 second for Scott (injured) and Philly 2021 first.

Could see other teams like Boston or Phoenix inquiring about Bjelica.

3.) 15 Feb 2021 01:31:59
quality trade i like bjelica with philly. can create some interesting lineups with him there off the bench helps simmons a lot. don't need a traditional center with him ex: simmons milton harris and green or thybulle where they won't get killed on boards.

Can someone be kind enough and explain the difference between a player being "bought out" and a player being waived in regards to the ability of another team to sign the player? I saw Gorgui Dieng was waived today, and I think he would be a quality 3rd center now that the sixers have an open roster spot. Are they able to negotiate with him the same way as they are players who have been bought out? Thanks.

TTP76

1.) 26 Mar 2021 22:46:13
There really isn't much of a difference big picture. The only difference is if their slary is guarenteed for the season or not.

Bought out players agree to leave with only a portion of their salary, but the full salary is counted againsy the salary cap anyways.

2.) 26 Mar 2021 23:35:53
A buyout is when the player and team agree to lower the amount of guaranteed salary the player is owed. . Waiving means the player gets the full guaranteed amount of the salary but they are on waivers for 48 hours where teams with cap space can sign the player and split the salary with the team who waived him.

3.) 27 Mar 2021 01:43:46
bought out means the player returned a portion of the salary due in order to facilitate the release. Most often its just the vet min they give back, because that's all the releasing team can remove from the cap. But it does allow the releasing team a small amount of cap relief, and a good organizational reputation.
waived players just get their remaining guaranteed salary and all of that goes against the cap
either way player is a free agent and can sign with any team with room and roster spot (other than the team he was released by or the team that traded him to the team he's released by)

4.) 27 Mar 2021 03:46:50
Bought out players are waived at the end as well. It’s just agreeing to a lesser settlement if your remaining contracted salary before you are waived.

5.) 27 Mar 2021 12:08:04
Correction to my last post. in a buyout the releasing team can reduce their cap by the amount they get back from the released player. Aldridge and Griffin both gave more than the minumum back to give the releasing team cap relief, and in the Spurs case dropped them below the tax line.
Once the player is released though, the releasing team can't claim back anything the player gets in a new contract as cash or as salary relief.

Philly says no. Leaves them way to thin. If the 2021 1st was included, that would be sixers last 3 first rd picks plus Tobia Harris. Too much for McCollum. Not to say McCollum isn't a star player, but objectively, not that much of an overall upgrade from Harris. Not a " 3 first rd pick" uograde. Thybulle and Maxxey are both still very young.

sixers aren't giving up Thybulle, korkmaz (both have been playing tremendous of late), Green and a qst rd pick for that return. Ball would need to go to philly instead of Redick.

Like Barton to philly, but not enough improvement over Green to include a 1st rd pick. and greens expiring contract frees up 15 mill un cap space for sixers at seasons end, that flexibility is also gone . I'd give green and knicks 2nd rd 2021 for Barton, but not our 1st rd pick.

agree with smunro. sixers would do it if korkmaz and MCW where left out of this trade.

II: Let me guess, Aldridge retiring from an irregular heartbeat is good, just so Lakers might have a better chance ???.

II. don't even know where to start on your post. Murray suffered a career altering injury, and may miss all of next season as well. Kid is only 24. Once you start rooting for opposing players to get seriously injured, you cross a line. Hope you rethink your comment.

im taking garnett, iverson, rodman and kemp in their prime. the closest call for me was garnett/ giannis. that one was a toss up.
