Bulls: Jerami Grant

Pistons: Patrick Williams, Derrick Jones Jr, 2022 1st via POR (top 14 protected)

that is rumored to be the Bulls offer for Grant. as a Piston fan i would not turn that one down.

i think this one and the ATL one are both good offers but i think Pat Williams has a bit more upside than Okongwu and the Blazers will probably draft higher than the Knicks in 2022

plus Troy Weaver really liked Williams in the 2020 draft so he is probably more inclined to swing in that direction, despite helping a division rival in the shorter term while we restore things in Motown.

I don't believe Chicago gives up Williams for Grant.

2.) 21 Jan 2022 23:22:17
Definitely a deal that makes a ton of sense for both sides.

I think Chicago jumps to the top of the east with this. That’s 5 really good starters.

3.) 22 Jan 2022 10:35:24
How good is Grant?

4.) 22 Jan 2022 15:10:21
I’d call him a top 10 (but not top 5) PF in the league.

I think he’s in the same tier as guys like FVV, Val, Collins, Wood.

5.) 23 Jan 2022 06:02:33
Don't underrate Collins by equating him to those other names.

Cavs: Frank Jackson, Rodney McGruder, 2nd via Nets

Pistons: Collin Sexton

keep Grant, give Ayton max contract, draft Banchero.

Cade/Hayes
Sexton/Lee
Grant/Diallo
Banchero/Bey
Ayton/Stewart

1 trade, 1 draft pick, 1 free agent = biggest turnaround in NBA history.

1.) 19 Jan 2022 20:36:44
Cavs laugh! And hung up the phone Sexton way valuable than that.

2.) 19 Jan 2022 20:52:20
MD is right

McGruder and 2nd just got Bol Bol

You think Frank Jackson is the difference in value between Sexton and Bol? No matter the injury or future contract.

3.) 19 Jan 2022 23:08:49
This is laughably bad for Cleveland. They can get more for Sexton in a S&T.

Pistons: Mo Bamba, 2022 2nd rd pick via Magic

Magic: Josh Jackson

iFroth

1.) 19 Jan 2022 00:31:30
I think pick should go to magic.

2.) 19 Jan 2022 01:06:08
Magic say no I’m not interested in Jackson

Forget it
I rather take Jarrett Culver + Lakers first round pick from Grizzlies

I don’t like Pistons offers.

3.) 19 Jan 2022 03:13:33
Pistons can just wait til the offseason to get Bamba for nothing then if they fail to land Ayton.

4.) 19 Jan 2022 04:08:01
Magic going to match Bamba offer u lost neither way

He is RFA.

Hawks: Jerami Grant

Pistons: Onyeka Okongwu, Jalen Johnson, Delon Wright, '22 1st via Knicks

1.) 19 Jan 2022 09:39:32
The first is actually Charlotte's that the Knicks owned.

DET-POR-PHI-ATL

Pistons get: De'Andre Hunter, Anfernee Simons, Danillo Gallinari, 1st from Blazers

Sixers get: CJ McCollum, John Collins, Frank Jackson, Onyeka Okongwu

Hawks get: Jerami Grant, Tobias Harris, Kelly Olynyk

Blazers get: Ben Simmons

the value seems fair to my naked eye and the trade machine liked it.

how does everyone else feel about it?

iFroth

1.) 15 Jan 2022 22:56:39
Sixers trade the 2 guys they are shopping for 2 starters that fit their team better plus a young shooter and a athletic young PF

Blazers get Simmons for McCollum, Simons and a 1st

Pistons get their youth in Hunter, Simons and a 1st and take on Gallo's contract and give up Frank, Grant and Kelly

Hawks get more defense, more shooting and proven veterans with Harris, Grant and Olynyk while giving up Hunter, Okongwu and Gallinari

definitely fits all teams needs and makes everyone better IMO.

2.) 15 Jan 2022 23:01:01
Idk of Blazers want to give up Simons rn.

3.) 15 Jan 2022 23:21:48
At first glance, I see it as horrible for Atlanta.

4.) 15 Jan 2022 23:24:28
The way Simons has played recently, I wouldn’t let him go for Simmons.

5.) 15 Jan 2022 23:27:20
Yeah ATL says hell no.

6.) 15 Jan 2022 23:32:01
Why would the Hawks do this?

7.) 16 Jan 2022 00:18:19
Portland doest have a first to trade. The 2022 going to Chicago is protected through 2028.

8.) 16 Jan 2022 01:05:35
so you are saying basically that Hunter/ Collins >>>>> Grant/ Harris

i suppose you think Olynyk is a throw in and taking Gallinari's contract is an early christmas gift?

Olynyk adds the stretch big they lose in Collins and makes MUCH less.

ATL financially benefits the most because they lose Collins and Gallo's contracts and take on Harris' contract. Grant's contract is peanuts same w/ Olynyk. they are getting 3 quality players (two of them proven 20 PPG scorers) for 1 quality player, 1 contract they want to get rid of and 2 unproven young players.

ATL also would not give up any draft picks in the deal. i do not see the logic in saying they get ripped off.

Young
Huerter
Harris
Grant
Capela.

9.) 16 Jan 2022 01:08:45
well then the way Hamidou Diallo has been playing lately means he has much higher trade value? i am using the Simons theory now.

really evaluate the talent and where they are going because i see no one losing on this. this is based on needs and all said teams have interest in the players they are trading and/ or acquiring.

forget the Portland 1st if they don't have one.

would it make a difference if Diallo goes to the Hawks in the trade?

10.) 16 Jan 2022 04:02:48
Diallo isn’t putting up 28 and 8 on 51/ 45/ 95 shooting for the month.

Also, I valued Simons high before this outburst. He’s still incredibly young and looks like a possible lead scorer. For reference, I’d guess I value Simons as high as Fred values Halliburton or Philly fans value Maxey.

I’d love Simmons in Portland. But I’m not giving up the vet borderline all star guard and a possible future all star guard for him. That’s way too much.

11.) 16 Jan 2022 06:50:52
you have to trade talent to get talent.

12.) 16 Jan 2022 07:58:34
Simmons+Harris does not pull Philly this much talent. Around the league Harris is seen as a negative because of his contract.

13.) 16 Jan 2022 16:17:20
Yeah, but Simmons is broken talent until proven otherwise. If we were talking about a current all NBA player that hadn’t embarrassed himself the last time he played, I might consider moving Simons. But not Simmons. Too much of a risk that he’s never the same.

14.) 16 Jan 2022 23:00:35
Harris would be a HUGE upgrade over Gallinari for the Hawks. swap one bad contract and take on a slightly larger one for a player that is at his prime. plus Grant is on a decent contract 20 mil a year.

John Collins is not happy with the Hawks. adding Harris and Grant would solidify them at the F positions and Grant adds defense which is always a plus.

i think ATL would save roughly 3-4 mil with this trade.

Detroit is going to offer Ayton 30 mil a year if PHX matches, then Godspeed, my Suns.

Pistons already have what people hope Hunter becomes. we also have a logjam at the wing position too many Richardson-like players who are decent but not starters on a good NBA team.

put a sign up on the door that says don't disturb this tank.

Pistons want guys that barely sniff minutes and are in their early 20s to experiment on and we also need another 1st rounder in the upcoming draft.

Cam Thomas and a super late 1st does not get Turner.

also, you overestimate Joe Harris value on the trade market. the only teams that would give up any kind of draft capital are the ones that have none to give.

the only direction Houston's needle is moving is getting young players with upside and draft picks.

Lakers trying to exile Russ i get it, but Lakers fans need to stop pushing bad trades on re-building teams. they simply do not have anything long term that is valuable right now to any team.

if Westbrook can't move the needle for the Lakers, how would he move it anywhere else? unless your goal is to set a record for turnovers in a single season.
