If PHI wants to dump Horford, New York must be in-play for that. Why? Because they can fetch some assets that they could use for bigger trades. Sixers have very small room to improve, 1st step is to get rid of a big contract. They will have around 40mil savings in 2022. Those 3 players can get still can play and be a good rotational pieces for them (unlike in NY)

76ers only give up 2 1sts for Iggy and Olynyk and offloading Horford salary. Miami gives the other 1st (2025) for DeRozen. Still a lot to give up from 76ers. I am not sure they see ancient Horford's bloated salary as a liability. Spurs are the clear winners with this deal. They can use Horford. Miami might do this deal as DeRozen is a clear upgrade for them next year. But they also give up a lot so maybe they say no.

Who do you think will make the 8th seed on the West? I got the Blazers the way Lillard is playing. So impressive. They even have a chance on upsetting the Lakers if their line up will be fully healthy by playoffs.

Agreed. I’m a Blazer fan, so biased, but they’re the team with the best individual player. And if Nurkic and Collins come back, and Ariza continues to play this way, it’s hard to see them not making it.
I wouldn’t give them much of a chance against the Lakers, but I think of all the teams in the running for the 8 seed, the Lakers should want the Blazers the least.
