If Durant is bent on leaving the Thunder for the Wizards, I see one deal being worth letting him walk.

First, we need to resign Kanter. Lock him up.

Next, construct a three team deal with the Wizards along with Sacramento. If Karl is married to the idea of moving Cousins, and if Washington really wants Durant, look to acquire both for a combination of Durant, Kanter, role players, picks.

The deal would look something like this:

Sacramento gets: Kanter (fresh off new deal), Otto Porter Jr., Thunder's 2014 first (#14)

Washington gets: Kevin Durant, Eric Moreland (or another piece to make salaries work

Oklahoma City gets: Demarcus Cousins, John Wall

Why Sac does it: They just signed Karl, and Karl doesn't want Cousins. Cousins has high value despite being super volatile. They get an offensively gifted C, a lotto pick, and Porter Jr. who still has loads of potential and helps them part with Gay.

Why Washington does it: They get a top-3 talent in Durant who gets to come home and would guarantee sign long-term in DC. They keep valuable role players despite signing away their current superstar. They're currently constructed with high earning players and to make money work, trading Wall for Durant should be considered.

Why OKC does it: After the initial hurt of losing Durant, they in theory get better after this trade. A lineup of Wall, Westbrook, Morrow, Ibaka, Cousins is far and away the best in the NBA. Morrow is obviously the "weak link" in this lineup. But on offense, he literally can stand in the corner and shoot threes. On defense, Ibaka and Cousins can more than cover him in the paint. This is a dynasty building move.

Yep. Won't happen. Ever. But its fun to dream right? haha

Church you're kidding. You think you are going to get Kevin durant for Bradley beal? The ONLY player comparable to the value in the NBA is Lebron James and you really think you can get KD for the low price of Bradley beal? Thunder says yes to original trade if we absolutely have to trade KD

1) no team will trade for Durant without a long term deal
2) trading either Wall or Beal would all but crush any chance KD goes to DC
3) your clearly an OKC fan
